The next day I woke up and showered quickly. It was around 11. I got dressed and then went downstairs. Both my brothers were in the kitchen and my mom was cooking. "Dont you guys have jobs?" I asked looking at them.
"Not yet." Joey said shoving my playfully.
"Leave me alone." I said pushing him back but harder.
"Hey, dont mess with my brother." Paulie said pushing into Joey.
"Stop it." I said and tried to walk away. They grabbed and I began to scream. We wrestled and all ended on the floor. I hit Joey in the stomach as I stood up. "Ass."
"Hey dont speak like that." My mom said as she began to serve everyone. "That nice girl, Blair came looking for you but I told her you were sleeping, it was like 7 when she came." She said as I began to eat. "She said she would come back later."
"She is hot." Paulie said smirking and Joey nodded.
"You guys are pigs." I said with food in my mouth. The doorbell rang and my mother went and opened it. She walked back into the kitchen followed by Blair and a blonde girl.
"Hey, I thought maybe you wanted to go shopping or something today." She said smiling. "This is Serena by the way." She added quickly.
"Thanks but I-"
"She would love too, my father said walking in the room. "Boys get your jackets." They nodded walking out the room. "I am having Jerry and Tommy over today." He said.
I nodded, that meant I couldnt be home. "Yeah that would be great." I said forcing a smile to Blair and Serena.
I finished eating and then grabbed my purse. I was walking down the stairs when my father called me into his room.
"Yes Daddy? I asked.
"Honey please try to have fun, those girls seem nice." I nodded. "Dont worry about the usually limit, get whatever you want."
"Thanks Daddy," I said smiling.
"And remember dont-"
"Dont talk about your job, or why we moved here unless its a fake reason. Dont mention Uncle Mikey at all." I said before he could finish.
He smiled. "You forgot, have fun." He said.
"Alright." I said and kissed him goodbye.
I walked back to the kitchen and Joey and Paulie were both whispering lowly. They already knew what was going to happen today. I said goodbye and followed Serena and Blair out.
We walked out the second store, we all had bags. I bought new shoes and Blair and Serena bought matching dresses.
"So where are you from?" Serena asked as we were walking.
"Boston, my father wanted to move because business is better here." I said. "So he let me pick out my school." I said before they could ask anything else.
"Thats cool." Serena said. She seemed nice. I felt intimidated by how beautiful she was.
"So any boyfriend?" Blair said.
"Nope, no boyfriend." I answered. "They are just too much commitment to me." I said honestly.
"I know someone who would love that." Blair said bitterly.
"Speaking of the devil." Serena said.
Ahead of us were two guys walking. Both dressed formally but here it seemed to be usual, one with scarf and the other with sort of shaggy light brown hair.
"Hey ladies." The one with the scarf said looking at me. "I am Chuck Bass and this is Nathaniel Archibald." He said smirking. Bass, that sounded familiar.
"Nice to meet you, I am Adalena Barzini." I answered.
"What do you guys want?" Blair asked sounding annoyed. "Nate I told you I was spending the day with Serena. You knew I was coming here."
"I just needed to talk to you thats all." He said pulling her away.
"Great." Serena said looking at her watch.
"Relax Serena. Just give the love birds a few minutes." Chuck said.
"Shut up Chuck." She said giving him the evil eye.
"You sound upset, does that have anything to do with Dan's drunken night yesterday with who was it, Vanessa right?" He asked smirking.
"Thats none of your business Bass." She said.
"You know my room is next to yours, why dont you keep your complaining down." He said. "I couldnt sleep."
"Chuck I will strangle you with that stupid scarf, regardless of our ties if you dont stop." She said sounding hurt now.
"Whatever." He said turning to me now. "So where are you from and what are you doing here?" He asked moving closer to me.
"Im from Boston and my father works here now." I answered.
"You said you were Barzini, right?" I nodded. "Our fathers are working together." He said. "Its like we are friends now too."
"I highly doubt they are working together." I said. "And what my father does has no affect on my life."
"I see, a little touchy there." He said. "What does your father actually do?" He asked.
"He ships things from ports." I answered.
Chucks eyes widened. "Thats....um....interesting." He said.

Blair and Nate walked back over. "Lets go." She said grabbing Serena and I followed.
"it was nice meeting you." Chuck called after us.
"I cant believe them." Serena said. "I told Chuck to stay away from me. He doesnt really live with us, he still lives in the Palace."
"Dont worry S, everything is ok." Blair said patting her back.
I had a feeling this trip was more than just shopping but that was the least of my worries. "You said Chuck lives in the Palace, the hotel?" I asked.
"Yeah his father owns it." Blair said. "Why?"
I knew now why he thought our fathers were working together. "No reason." I answered.
"Well there is going to be a party tonight, at my place and we are all going to have a blast." Blair said smiling. "Do you have a dress?" She asked me. I shook my head. "Well it doesnt need to be fancy, just simple and short." She said.
We walked into another store and they helped me pick out a dress.
