Arai Ookami. A Journey North to South
Chapter 1 : Arai Ookami. A Journey North to South
Golden eyes flashed in the darkness of the cave. Ears twitched. 'An insect, perhaps?' you thought. 'But, what kind of insect would live in the Arctic?' Eyes wide now, searching the darkness.
"Arai, you lazy mutt! Get up now!"
You reconized the voice, but was too sleepy to recall.
"What do you want?" You replied.
"You dare talk to the clan leader like that?!"
"Sorry, sir." You mumbled.
Dani Ookami, the clan leader and your father, mumbled something about the Ookami name being put to shame. You humbily ignored it.
Then Karlieh walked in. She was a rouge, specialized in medicine. She was a hybrid, like you. Ears, tail, fangs, and even the wolfish eyes. Only her's were blue. She was everything a normal wolf hybrid would love, except she was as dumb as a log. Thank God Dani is patient with her! Karlieh is Janidarh's apprentice. Janidarh is a magic-looker. He can tell what your weaknesses, powers, and abilities are just by looking at you. Unfourtunatley, he was shy, and kept his powers to himself. He could be rich with that power, you thought of him as selfish. Also, Evalrin, your mom, was beside your dad. So was your uncle, Grongeh. If he was here, there was huge news.
You wondered why things were so silent. Dani decided if something was to be said, he was going to say it.
"We have really bad news Arai." He said, warily.
"What kind of news?" You inquired.
"We have lost connections with SouthClan"
SouthClan is located in Antarctica. They help when storms are coming, when anything major happens, like a new birth.
"That's horrible!" you exclaimed.
"That's why we are giving you the news."
"What do I have to do with it?"
"Janidarh can see people's abilities, magi--"
"I know all this. You've told me."
"Don't interrupt!"
"Sorry, sir."
"Janidarh can see your future too."
"He can?!"
"You have to go down to SouthClan. Try to find o--"
"What?!"
Dari stood there, not angry, just standing. He knew as well as everyone else, that those words forever changed your life.
