Let It Roll ||Spencer Smith|| one-shot.

profound.profanities Obviously, this is for Steph, because I like her that much. And her stories. Yeah. Oh, and Spencer is so underappreciated, this is for him too.

Wearing nothing but a tank top, shorts and flip flops, Stephanie was only wishing for one thing; the sun to go down or disappear for an hour so. She knew very well that Summerlin always bordered around these temperatures but she usually had the comfort of an air conditioned house. Not today, at that very moment she held flyers in one hand, the other pumping back and forth as she kept a quick pace stopping from house to house. In one of her pockets her ipod rested, creating a path to her ears with her earphones. Her mother, a successful realtor, had sent her out to deliver flyers in the neighboring region where she made most of her business. Still slightly aggravated at her mother for making her go out in this weather she trudged her feet up the steps to the door of the next house and monotonously slid the flyer, which her mother's picture adorned, into the mail slot. The only way she could keep her mind off the heat was her music so she hummed along lightly to it as she turned to go back down the steps, a seemingly never ending exercise.

"I needed this, more than I knew!" she suddenly belted out into the empty street as the song changed on her ipod.

"Whoa there, who are you?" At the sound of a foreign voice, Stephanie spun around to meet a round boyish face.

"Um, I'm just handing out flyers." She replied, suddenly feeling silly, she was in no way equipped to promote her mother's business, she just passed out the flyers. She held up her hand holding the said flyers to emphasize this. The boy reached out and grabbed one from her hand.

"Real Estate?" he asked, laughing loudly. He had an eyebrow cocked and a smirk pulling at his lips, as he waited for a response he flipped his hair out of his face. It's then that Stephanie noted his bluish grey eyes which locked onto hers for a second before she looked at the floor.

"My mom sends me out to deliver flyers." She explained, deciding it was okay to laugh.

"That's slavery, in this heat." He declared. "I mean, you look so hot." He explained himself. "Not that way." He added quickly. "Like warm, cause of the weather, you know." He nodded to himself. "Not that you aren't hot that way!" he picked up again, a disgruntled expression on his face. "I'll shut up now." He ended his rant by tousling his own long hair. Stephanie was almost bent over in laughter, in vain, she tried to suppress it as to not embarrass the boy.

"Sorry." She said between two giggles.

"Do you want to cool off for a bit?" he asked with a huge grin, glad that at least she was laughing and not completely creeped out by him.

"That would be great." She sighed, her laughter dying out into a simple, genuine smile. He cleared the way to the door so she could pass and head inside before him. She slipped off her flip flops and placed the pile of flyers by them. "I'm Steph, by the way." She informed with a shrug.

"Oh, right, I'm Spencer." She nodded at this and pulled out her earphones from her ears, being polite; as she wrapped the earphone wire around her ipod Spencer snatched it from her. "What have you got?" he asked more to himself as he sauntered slowly into what resembled the living room.

"Nice house." She commented noticing it was well decorated and furnished and lacking of outdated color palettes.

"Thanks I guess." He shrugged as he concentrated on the artists list under his nose. "Nice." He announced as he handed over the ipod with a grin. "C'mon, I'll get you something to drink." He rounded the corner at a normal pace into the kitchen; she followed him, taking in her surroundings. "What's your poison?" he asked, feigning deviousness.

"What you got?" she shot back, approaching his bent over form by the fridge. She hip checked him playfully. "Oooh, Capri sun." she snatched a pouch from the fridge and quickly inserted the straw into the pouch. Spencer laughed lightly as he grabbed one for himself and settled on a counter top. "S'really quiet." Steph stated, looking around, as if her comment would pull someone out of their hiding spot.

"Oh, I'm home alone right now." As he first said the words, it roused a red flag in Stephanie's head but for some reason it was easy to erase it from her thoughts because of his simple and outgoing demeanor.

"Do you not have any pets?" she asked, curious.

"The cat is around somewhere." He replied nonchalantly. "Are your pets that loud?" he asked, raising an eyebrow again.

"Oh geez yeah, the dog gets so excited when anyone walks through the door."

The conversation went on like this for a good hour; they asked absurd impertinent questions often delving into fits of hysterics. As the laughter died down after Spencer told the story of how he broke his nose from walking into a glass door, Steph's eyes glanced out the back door, which was indeed glass, they went wide upon noticing a certain silver stick.

"No way, you have a pogo stick?" she asked, not taking her eyes off it. In fact she slipped off the chair she had been sitting on and started nearing the back door. Spencer laughed at her expression but managed a slow, measured 'yeah'. She nearly ran the rest of the way outside and grabbed it.

"Be careful!" Spencer exclaimed as he too rushed outside. "It's harder than it looks." She scoffed at him as she placed a foot on one of the pedals. Just as she placed her second foot on the adjoining pedal, with a jump, Spencer ran over to her side. She managed one bounce before losing her balance, in an attempt to catch her before she fell, Spencer also landed on the ground. Or so he thought, the softness beneath him was not in fact grass but Steph herself. "Geez, sorry." He muttered, however he only lifted his torso off hers, he remained hovering over her and she didn't push him off.

"I guess I should've listened to you." She stated with a lopsided grin.

"You know, it's incredible how attractive you are when you're falling on your rear." He laughed back at her. Steph had closed her eyes in embarrassment but that feeling vanished abruptly as she felt Spencer's smile pressed to her own. He winked at her as he gestured to their closely pressed bodies and then slid off her only to hand her his hand and help her up. "Next time the whole me on top of you will be on purpose."

hah yeah, that's it.
Hope you liked.
