Two sisters were sitting in a leather cushioned booth at a club, one looking comfortable in her surroundings, the other not so much. She clearly wanted to be anywhere but there. Chloe was tugging at the bottom of her shirt nervously, keeping her hair in front of her face and her head down. Finally, her sister noticed and leaned over to her.
"You won't get noticed like that, silly!" She commented, straightening her up and pulling back her hair.
"Maybe getting noticed is something I don't want! Besides, I'm just here because you need someone to drive you home."
The song changed as did the lights around the dance floor. Chloe went back to fidgeting and her sister jumped from the booth and onto the dance floor. Chloe only glanced to see where her sister was headed, then continued her introverted behavior. Bree, her sister, knew she didn't like clubs. She didn't like the drunk guys meandering around. She hated the vulgar dancing that the majority of the attendees were using. The whole atmosphere just irked her.
Surprisingly, she heard her sister call to her over the loud music. Chloe looked up and saw a man in the grip of Bree.
"Chloe, Brendon. Brendon, Chloe. You two have a good time!" And with that, Bree shoved the guy into the booth and ran off to the dance floor once again. The new companions looked at each other and laughed at the pure randomness of the situation.
"It's nice to meet you, Brendon. How do you know my sister?"
"I don't," he replied, still laughing. "She just grabbed me and ran. But I don't mind."
His statement and smirk gave Chloe chills and a deep blush on her cheeks. She thanked him, equally satisfied with the happenings. They sat and talked, sometimes poking fun at the inebriated club-goers, ad-libbing their own dialogue into the conversations. Gradually, they scooted closer and closer together until Brendon's arm was around the back of the booth where Chloe sat.
"So, is the whole party scene a little more appealing?" Brendon asked, looking into Chloe's bright eyes.
"Only if you're here. Seriously, you're hilarious! You've gotta have a girlfriend," she replied, returning his gaze.
"I might. I dunno if she wants to or not."
"Why don't you ask her? She'd be insanely dumb to say no."
"Alright. Chloe, you wanna go out sometime?"
Her eyes were the size of china plates and her mouth fell ajar. Brendon laughed and planted a soft kiss on her lips.
"Wasn't the reply I was expecting, but still nice," he commented.
"Just tell me when and where."
Your eyes are the size of the moon -->
I can SO make that face. It's just not as sexy as that.
