Recap:
"You think you can stop us? Pathetic! ...Or will you follow us back to our hideout in Lilycove City? Fwahahahahah..." after cackling he turns and calls out a Walrein. Steph prepares to stop him, but the Walrein quickly rams into Torchyana, knocking him back. Before anyone can do anything Archie grabs her shirt and pulls her, making Steph drop Torchyanas ball, and he leaps into the water...
"Steph! Stephanie!!!" Steven yells in despair.
"Oh no he doesn't," you whisper. You don't even know the guy, but that doesn't matter right now, you hate him already. You call out Dragonair and dive into the water, after quickly kicking your shoes and socks off first.
Your eyes adjust to the water, but when you were about to catch up to the speedy submarine something was tied around your eyes, and you felt something hit your neck. And then nothing.
_____________-{Story Start}-_____________
"Uuhnnn," you groan quietly, as you start to wake up from your little sleep. Your hand reaches up to feel your neck, but stops when it feels the cold hard cement.
*Where am I?* you think groggily. You open your eyes and look around at a gray cell that looks like it was a dungeon taken straight out of a fairy tale book. Even the hay was in the corner! And also in the books, it was deathly quiet and boring.
In the process of exploring your little cell, digging through the hay in the corner, your phone dropped from your pocket. *Aha! I forgot about this!* you shriek in your mind. But mentally sigh when it was water damaged and completely scratched up. You could barely read the words "haha" engraved into the back. Some not-so-nice words come to mind.
About ten minutes pass with you sat, just picking apart your broken device. *Aren't they supposed to check and make sure Im not dead or digging out of here with a spoon or something?* you groan again.
Your thoughts were answered when you heard a banging from the side of the room, most likely where the door was.
"Uhhgg!! Why do I have to deal with the brat?" you hear a deep-ish voice say. You guessed you were the brat. There was some yelling you couldn't make out and footsteps came towards the door.
A dark haired male came into view, stomping angrily towards your cell. He stopped in front of the bars and stood with his arms crossed, glaring at you.
You stared him down, and copied him by crossing your arms as well. His glare intensified. You gave a small grin while not breaking the staring contest, to show you werent scared of him.
Finally he growled and stomped a couple steps to the left.
"Why am I here?" you ask once he's done with his little stomping fit.
"Why do you think?" he answers.
"'Cause a bunch of evil people have nothing better to do than kidnap people and steal submarines?"
His eye twitched. "Team Aqua is NOT evil!!" he yells. "And you're here 'cause you're an annoying brat who was interfering with our plans!"
"You're trying to fill most the planet with water! You are evil!" you argue.
"How are we evil!?!" he screams. *Anger management* you think as your ear starts to hurt.
"Team Magma are the evil ones! Not all water pokemon can live in tanks! And while Team Magma keeps building new land, the water pokemon are getting forced closer and closer together. People who live in Pacifidlog Town! They live fine with no land"
He went on and on, so you just stopped listening. *I have an idea* you thought.
When the grunt stopped rambling his little speech you spoke up. "Youre lying!" you shout.
He glared at you fiercely, but didnt say anything.
"If that's what Team Aqua's about, then why am I in there?" you ask. "I'm a water pokemon trainer! How am I supposed to train them in water when there isn't any!? I've been trying to stop Team Magma the whole time; I didn't even know there was Team Aqua! All I heard was that they were evil"
You continued on with your speech until he looked pretty convinced. But he didnt say anything.
"I want to join." You state looking him straight in the eyes.
He still stood wordlessly, but walked away silently.
The next morning you were interviewed like seven times. And Mr. Grumpy wouldn't let you go anywhere without 'an escort'. It seriously sucked.
Time didn't pass very fast in the hideout. For a secretive criminal there wasn't much entertainment. The only thing everyone did was walk around and glare at each other. You sighed, *I guess I have to work on my glare*
The next morning you woke up and stretched. While picking stray pebbles and rocked out of your legs. Why couldn't prisoners have beds too?
"Girl, wake up." A stern male voice speaks from the end of the room.
"I'm up," you say groggily from the ground.
"Stand up." He says again.
"I'm UP." You repeat loudly, getting to your feet. You get a look at him; tall dark, nameless guy like most of the others.
He glared at you for a second and grumbled, "Get over here." Annoyed, you walk up to the slightly open door.
He grabs your arm and steers you out into the hallway. "Whoa!" you exclaim, "Haven't you ever heard of the 'hands off policy?'" He growled and tightened his grip. Grunts officially suck.
In a couple minutes you were going through a door into a small room. There was about five grunts sitting behind a desk and glaring at you, as you were shoved in. "Stand still girl." The grunt behind you growled shook you bangs out of you face when you got to your place in front of them. And the main interrogation began.
The next morning you woke with your arms and legs sore from the uncomfortable ground. Last night they actually gave you something to sleep on; a warm, but thin blanket. It was rolled in a ball for last night's pillow.
With a small grin you thought of yesterday. It didn't go as well as you hoped, but not too badly. You were almost positive that you saw a teensy smile on one of their faces when you left.
Banging sounded from the end of the hallway like thing, and you got up to see who was coming down the hallway. You didn't recognize him. He frowned at you and stopped in front of your cell. One thing you learned from this so far, it goes so much faster when you dont say a word and just cooperate. You sighed and held out the front of your arm when he opened the door.
Like all the others he grabbed it and dragged you towards the other rooms.
Again you were standing in front of the grunts, and now a more official looking guy. The new guy looked at you and said, "You passed the first part" he looked really unhappy about that. "But just barely. You have to prove you have the Aqua strength."
"I can do that!" You smirked confidently.
"We'll just see about that." He muttered, and walked through another door. He then turned, "You, girl, follow." And strode out of the room. The guy behind you shoved you forward a few steps and you jogged out of the room behind him. You caught up with him in a few moments and slowed to a walk.
You came into a large room with multiple scars and battle marks. "Girl." The grunt called you, "Catch. And stand over there." He ordered pointing to a side of the room.
He then threw two pokeballs at you. You grabbed one nicely, but juggled the second one a few times. You walked to the side of the room and stuck one of the balls in your pocket.
Without warning there was a flash of light a Golbat was flying around the top of the room. You blinked but clicked the button of the ball and tossed it out in front of you. In a blink there was a Krabby crawling towards the middle of the room.
"Golbat bite!" the guy commands. The bat swoops down and goes to attack Krabby.
"Dodge, Krabby!" you yell. Krabby moves to the side but not quick enough, Golbat flies up a bit to prepare for another dive. You think quickly about Krabby's attacks. "Irongrip! Now!"
Krabby does some kind of jump as it leaps at Golbat.
"Golbat fly!" Golbat goes back up and Krabby misses and fall to the ground.
"Again Krabby! Irongrip!" This time Golbat rams into Krabby full force, but Krabby was ready and in a flash one of Golbat's wings are enclosed in a death grip.
"Golbat, fly, again!"
Golbat tries to fly with one wing, only going up about a couple feet before Krabby lets go and drops to the ground.
The grunt sighs annoyed as he watches Golbat fly with difficulty. He goes to return it, but changes his mind at the last minute.
"Golbat screech!"
Suddenly the room was filled with a high-pitched screaming sound. For some reason the wall absorbed some of the sound. That, at least was a good thing. Your hands went to your ears and you immediately ordered, "Bubble! Now!"
Krabby, a little woozy from the noise fired bubbles out at Golbat. They all missed.
"Krabby!" you shouted over the sound. "Concentrate! Bubble!"
This time the bubbles hit the bat. Most of them missed, but the sound was stopped. "Okay, now crabhammer!"
Krabby hits the bat strait on knocking it to the ground, KOed. Krabby snorts happily.
The grunt grumbled to himself, and brought out a new pokeball. He then throws it out to the middle of the floor and a Spheal rolls out.
You look to Krabby and it anxiously clicks its claws and snorts, ready for more. "Crabhammer!" you order taking the first move.
"Spheal body slam!" The seal jumps into action and rolls towards Krabby. Krabby was too slow to move out of the way again and get hit on the side, spinning in a circle or two.
"Krabby stomp!" The red crab leaps up and slams down onto the Spheal. "Crabhammer again!" you say. Spheal was too dizzy from the stomp and didn't dodge the new attack. It rolled over backward but it didnt faint.
Another flash of light caught your eye. *What??* you think furiously. He has a third pokemon?? And he's calling it out??
"Hey!!" you complain. "You can't do that!"
He glares at you again, "Team Aqua members need to be ready for everything. If in a battle you're outnumbered you have to know what to do! Now fight!"
The pokemon was a Sealeo, the evolved from of Spheal. "Ice ball Sealeo! Now! Spheal rollout!"
"Krabby bubblebeam!"
The two attacks met in the middle and with a tiny fizzing sound the bubbles were frozen and bounced to the floor, breaking into tiny crystals. But some of the bubbles survived and smacked Sealeo in the face.
Both you and Krabby forgot about the Spheal, that is, until it came smashing into Krabby full force.
"Sealeo now! Ice ball!"
Krabby couldn't get up quick enough and in a quick few seconds there was another sizzling and Krabby was frozen solid.
You bit your lip and returned Krabby to the ball. You watched as the block of ice fell over and cracked in half.
You bit your lip and brought out the second ball. *I hope this ones a winner* you think before throwing it out I front of you. Flash! It's another Golbat.
You breath out and yell, "Golbat air cutter!"
And the battle continues.
The battle's over and youre standing in that room where you had the interrogation. You lost the battle, but not without taking out the Spheal and almost getting the Sealeo.
Two grunts stalk into the room and stand in front of you with the rest of them.
"Girl," the guy who battled you starts, "Though you did lose the battle," he smirks, "You didn't do bad. You've made it into Team Aqua."
You stared at them in disbelief. You blink three times before saying a simple, "Okay, good." And smirked slightly to yourself. *I hope Lance or anyone doesn't get mad seeing me like this.*
You felt something being shoved into your arms and looked down. It was the girls uniform. "Get changed in the women's corners. Follow her." One of the males told you, jerking his chin in the direction of a girl.
"Wait." You say, "What about my pokemon? When will I get them back?"
"You'll get them later. Now go. If you dont wear the uniform, youll be brought back here for trespassing." Of the guys said.
You sighed and walked towards the girl. She looked around your age with brown hair. She looked at you and walked out of the room, stopped and looked back at you to make sure you were following. You trailed after her through the lair and didn't say anything to her.
"Get changed in there." She said pointing to a door. "That's the whole bathroom, the door next to it is the room with the beds. There aren't any real assigned spots, but some girls want certain beds. Everyone has to be up, at the latest, 7:00am..." She went on explain the rules.
You came out of the bathroom and were tugging on the shirt, trying to pull it down. You may be comfortable in bathing suits, but that's only when swimming. The small shirt wasn't making you happy when your whole stomach is showing. You fixed your new bandanna/hat thing and shivered when your long hair tickled your exposed back.
"You'll get used to that." The girl said noticing your discomfort with the shirt. "Now follow me, they want you back."
You follow her back to the office-like room. The grunts are there like they were before. You stopped in front of them, with your arms crossed. "Okay." You sigh looking at them.
"What?" One of them snapped.
"I want my pokemon now." You say in a matter-of-fact voice.
One of them grunted and reached into the desk. His hand came back out with four balls. "These them?" he questioned. You saw the blue stickers on the sides.
"Yeah, those are mine. Is Dragonair in there?" you question looking him directly in the eyes.
"Yeh. The one that followed you. Both of them."
You sighed with relief in you head. "Okay. Why is it I'm needed?" you ask.
"Mission. You're gunna be going to Slateport. Some of the idiots made and mess and left behind some clues to us. Go clean up."
*It's just 'cause Im a woman.* you mentally sigh. *Wait Slateport Lance! Steph! Steven! Everyone else!* You mentally cheer, it looks like they don't know where you were captured.
"Aye, aye, sir!" you salute. They give you a funny look but dismiss you anyways.
You run as fast as you can to the exit, getting lost a couple times as well. You finally found the back entrance and called out Salamence. Immediately you were tackled and thrown to the ground. You look up to see Salamence completely ecstatic about your return. You note dryly that Salamence looks tired and beat up a little.
"Let's go find Lance! And everyone else too! you exclaim quietly before climbing on top of the giant dragon. And you took off.
Suddenly there was explosions and a dark deep rumbling. *What the heck?* you think.
You sighed mentally as one of the grunts spotted you in the air. *I guess I have to go 'help'.*
You flew into through the helicopter entrance and watched as many grunts rushed in to stop whatever was happening. Suddenly you gasp.
...
Steven. Steven Stone was the cause of it. That means..
Lance was around here somewhere.
You landed quickly and ran into the building looking for anyone. You turn a sharp corner and sack head first into someone. "Ow, crap!" you complain and rub your nose. You look up at the person who you ran into and screamed.
"Lance!!" you latch onto him with a tight hug.
He finally realizes who's hugging him and hugs back with equal force with a, "Clarissa! I've finally found you!"
You back up a step or two and look at him while he looks down. "You.. joined Team Aqua?" he almost stutters.
Suddenly you see a head over Lance's shoulders. *Act fast. Act fast!* you yell in your head. You grab his arms and hold them behind his back, and make him lean over.
You lean towards his ear and say in a loud whisper, "Ha. I've got you now." He goes to stand up but in a lower voice you say, "Stay still, it's only an act." You straighten up and nod to the grunt running by, who nods back in approval.
When he's out of sight you let his arms go and he stands straight. "We have to go. Steven's got Steph and everyone else is fine. Where's the exit?"
You nod quickly. You turn towards where the grunt and from and grabbed Lance's hand. "This way."
When he went to argue you smiled at him and said, "Helicopter exit." And you to were off.
Right after everyone escaped Lance got word on his pokenav that Steph was in the hospital, so right now you're outside her hospital door with Lance and Seth. Right when you walked in you started getting stares and whispers so now youre currently wearing Seth's oversized jacket that went below your butt. Seth sure seemed to be smug right now. And Lance isn't too happy.
You, Seth and Lance talked quietly. You were clutching Lance's hand, worried for Steph.
The door then burst open and Steven hurried out.
"Lance, Clarissa, Seth." the silver haired trainer addressed everyone, "I have to leave. Something serious has come up. Tell Steph to continue her journey and tell her to be careful. I'm sure that we'll meet again." He brought out a pokeball and gave it to Seth. "This is Torchyana."
Steven turned and quickly walked away, not even glancing over his shoulder once.
'W- what was that about?" you break the silence. But there wasn't an answer.
