So for me it was obvious; break up with Tyler, and go out with Ryan.
But I guess Ryan was confused.
"So you are going to break up with Tyler, right?" He asked after we had returned home from the big incident with the car. Since we had run out of gas, we missed most of the show, so we just decided to come back and have movie night again. And this week it was me and Ryan's turn to make the popcorn.
I looked at him incredulously. "Of course."
He grinned as I poured the popcorn into an oversized bowl. We still hadn't told the others about our kiss and what not, because I wanted to wait for my relationship with Tyler to be officially over first.
And the breaking up was going down tomorrow, but for now I just wanted to sit and enjoy myself.
"So how about this one?" Spencer asked, holding up some random movie as Ryan and I entered with the popcorn.
I turned to look at the movie he was holding, and I tried to hold back laughter. "Ten things I hate about you, Spence?"
"Yeah...it's a good movie..."
I just laughed, and sat down on the couch. Tonight was going to be amazing.
I had called him, and told him to meet me at a nearby park. I was dreading this, because I didn't want to hurt him.
But I didn't like him, so staying with him would be wrong.
Especially since I have a chance at love with Ryan.
So, when I arrived at the park, Tyler was sitting on one of the swings waiting for me.
"Beth!" He greeted, and went in to kiss me. I backed away.
"Uh, Tyler?
"Yes?"
"I think we should break up."
"Oh...okay..." He said, barely audible.
"I'm sorry."
And with that I walked away, and instead of walking back to my house, I walked over to Esther's.
I knocked on the door, and Marlene answered.
"Hello, Beth! Esther's upstairs."
I smiled, and walked past her to the staircase.
I walked up to Esther's room, and went in.
Esther was reading some girly magazine.
"Okay, listen up Esther. Remember when I was stuck in the car with Ryan?"
"Yeah?"
"Well, I kissed him, and..."
"You kissed him? Why didn't you tell me about this? What about Tyler?"
"Yes, because I wasn't ready, and Tyler is no longer part of the picture."
"You broke up with him?"
"Yes."
"We need to go find Ryan."
"Mhmm."
Esther pulled out her cell phone, and dialed a number.
She asked if Ryan was there, and then told them we were coming over.
"Who was that?" I asked after she'd hung up the phone.
"Spencer. Let's go!"
So we drove over to Spencer's, and they were waiting for us on the front lawn.
To this 4/4 beat, I would die for you. ♥
I ran over to Ryan, and he hugged me.
"I broke up with Tyler."
"Will you be my girlfriend, Beth?"
"Of course." I smiled, and we kissed again. But this kiss was different, there was less surprise and more excitement. But it was still amazing.
