"Sora...."
"......" Your question completely leaves Sora unfazed as he continues to stare at you from his seat near the front of the Gummi Ship. The only reason you even were talking to him is the fact he is staring at you - unblinking - it's beyond akward.
"Sora, please stop staring," you beg tilting your head so your hair hides a part of your face.
"I, um," Sora lets out a cough stumbling over his words. Donald nudges him sharply in the side.
"You wanted to talk to me?"
"Do you ever think about love?" Sora half coughs his cheeks growing a bit red.
"Love?" A strange sense of deja-vu comes over you. "I don't have time for the love."
"You don't have time for love?" Obviously the answer wasn't good enough. His probing of the topic really was strange and troublesome.
"Well like a girlfriend and boyfriend type of thing or a parent love?" You cough the last part unintentionally.
"You see I once new this girl...." Sora starts, his voice growing distant. "But something terrible happened to her...."
From your pocket you feel Basil shift sticking out his head slightly to listen. "W-What happened to her," you probe shocked by the sudden change of character. Looking over at Goofy and Donald you see them just as confused.
'.... I wonder....'
Unbeknownst you Basil begins to sweat and grow increasingly nervous. "She's still alive, but she's been away for a long time," Sora continues.
'Is he referring to me?'
"What are you-"
"Well I kind of want you to help me with something," Sora answers, "I don't know if she knows it, but I think of her fondly and I-"
In a quick act Basil climbs up to your ear and whispers; "He's talking about a girl named Kairi...."
The situation sinks in gradually as you struggle to put a face to the name. 'Kairi.... I know her.... She's.... She was a friend of mine....'
Gradually a motherly smiles forms as you begin to understand. "I think I know what you're saying."
"Y-You do?!"
"She does?" Goofy and Donald chime together equally as amazed.
You nod. "You're talking about a girl named Kairi," you respond.
"You remember!?" Sora questions excitedly standing up. "What else do you remember?"
You shrug. "I don't know a lot, Sora. Maybe you can help me piece the rest together later, but I from what I can gather you really like Kairi don't you?"
Unsurprisingly Sora is shocked, not to mention Goofy and Donald. "I- That's not-"
"I get, Sora. You want me to help you win her heart," you answer with a giggle blushing, "You're really sweet, Sora."
"But I-"
You giggle deciding to tease him futher. "She better be careful I just might try to steal you away," you state winking.
"I- ah- I-" Goofy and Donald burst out laughing pointing at the red face Sora.
Poor Sora lets out a huff of breath accepting the friendly gesture and defendingly declares; "Right.... I am a pretty popular man...."
Everyone goes silent before you burst out laughing along with everyone else in a chorus of laughing. You only calm yourself when he see Sora no longer smiling. "Sora why do you suddenly look so sad. I look to you for a smile - are you feeling well - I've never seen you without a smile."
"Yep," he answers putting his hands over his head, "Just thinking is all."
"You're strange, Sora."
"In a good way?" Sora beams.
you half laugh. "I guess because later you can help me remember a bit of my past."
"I would love to!" He exclaims loudly causing Donald to cringe.
"Heh, you probably don't have much time for me though. Y'know you being a hero and all and me well-"
"Wait, but don'tcha have a Keyblade just like Sora?" Goofy ponders.
"You know to be honest I'm not even sure if it's even a Keyblade it seems something different and-"
Suddenly you feel something wrong as the ship lurches forward sharply. "Huh?"
"What's up?"
"Hey, wait a minute... Is the ship moving all on its own?" Sora ponders.
"Yup! Looks like we're headed toward Hollow Bastion," Goofy declares.
"That's strange that does usually happen?" you question the previous statement abandoned.
"Not at all," Sora answers going to thought, "Something must be up."
More or less the ship glides through the space in no less then two mintunes before you see Hollow Bastion and the ship automatically docks bringing you back to an all to familiar town. Looking around you see nothing out of place. Still no matter what you can't shake the feeling you're being watched by more than one person.
"Kimahri sense danger," your viligant friend states, "Stay on guard."
You nod just as Sora says; "I wonder what's up."
"Let's check on Merlin," Donald chimes in.
"I don't think I've meet Merlin yet."
"Don't worry you will," Sora reports.
Nodding the five of you walk the streets leading to Merlin's house. You notice many new faces including that of an elderly duck dressed in a stuffy looking coat. Making a note you make sure to talk or at least question him later. Regardless you press on only to enter the new area to see Heartless pour out of a house.
"Uh oh!"
"C'mon!" Sora commands.
"Right!" You pump your fist taking off letting Sora lead.
"Hold up," a voice starts. Stopping arbutely Kimahri and you whip around to see Leon, Aeris, Yuffie, and Cid near a building to the right.
"We need to talk.... Kiru," Leon adds seriously.
"Me?" This a new chain of events all together making you quite nervous of this recently met people. That and you rather help Sora figure out the problem inside.
"Can't it wait? I was-" You turn around to get Sora to back you up only to see him gone.
"Kiru, sit down," Leon announces sternly. You look over at Kimahri for support but he simply nods at towards the step obviously leading up to the ruined castle.
Sensing the seriousness and overwhelming odd against you compile to his order taking a seat on the stone. Kimahri looks impassive and indifferent at the situation choosing to stand off to the side. It seemed a rather odd place to sit on the stairs leading to the hollow castle, but since no one but they ever went there it seemed ok.
"Kiru you are aware you are a princess?" Aeris starts.
"....Yah...." You're really not sure where this is going.
Everyone looks hesitant. Finally Aeris speaks in her timid sweet voice; "We didn't have much time before."
"We decided or rather Squall - I mean Leon thinks it's the right time," Yuffie cuts in looking over at Leon.
"Y'know little lady, it's a big responsible," adds Cid unhelpfully.
"But now more than ever this place we... and you once called home needs a positive light," Yuffie chimes in an attempted cheerful tone.
"To the people's moral. With you as the unofficial yet soon to be official leader of Hollow Bastion people will be secured to rebuild the town to its once former glory," Aeris comments.
Your eyes narrow in thought. "But why do you need me for that? I've done nothing to help rebuild since I got here. What do you want from me?"
"Not true, little lady. 'Member the littleums that were stealing?" Cid states. "Since you been 'ere they're less rowdy than a bucket of slugs. Got their new gang running errands around town instead of stealing."
"So I just talked to them. All they needed a sort of motherly figure."
"That may be true, but the children only answer when we tell them that you would like them to help out instead of stealing," Aeris clarifies before frowning slightly, "And since the orphaned children make up the quarter of the town.... Believe it or not they have some influence of power."
Yuffie nods at Aeris. "That's right! And the older townsfolk see their new positive change as cause thanks to you," Yuffie reports, "So you got another faction of town on your side right there."
"Heh, even the grumpy old folks have taken a shine to you," Cid puts in jabbing a thumb to his chest, "They not only see you as goody chickadee, but since some of them are old enough to remember what this town was like in its prime, heh and you being the heir to the ruler.... well, heh."
"They are also quite taken by you," sings Aeris lovingly, "So all together you have influence over three fourths of the town."
".... Who's the other one-fourth," you question not trying to humor them or give them your consent.
No one answers as you look at everyone's hesitant face though Leon's serious and uncaring facial expression doesn't count. At you eyes land on Cid's it is Leon who says; "The Heartless and Nobodies."
Your face goes sullen. "I see... And it's not like we can just kill them and be done with it." That does serve a problem, perhaps that is why they want you as ruler to serve as a janitor for killing Heartless.
"Not to worry little lady! The problem is almost solved," Cid announces suddenly, "Inside the castle is a main computer which is overriding my own. With some time we can get in there and fix the problem no prob."
".... I see...." You have nothing to say lost in your thoughts.
"We're positive you'll rule just and fair," Aeris offers.
"We'll never let anything hurt you," Leon voices. His face shows hint compassion and yet you see only false promises. Yet the offer is tempting
'All i fear would be nothing....'
"Y'all have power to run an empire," Cid adds trumiphly. Even his face though proud makes you jeer. Yet another tempting offer this one appealing to your dark side.
'I can give people a place to belong.... And the ability to make a future'
"You'll be loved by everyone! Friends, your subjects, us, and so many more," Aeris promises. You feel a smile begin to form.
'A family.... Sora.... Kimahri.... Basil.... They all would be proud of me.....'
Yuffie noticing your smiles lets out a chuckle joining with his input. "You'll be a face behind the power. We will take over so you won't be pestered by problems," Yuffie reports.
(Note: More than anything I find this song more dramatic then sad, but I do feel the lament.)
'A face....' It finally dawns on you of their intention. 'Just a face nothing but a tool....'
"So what do you say, Kiru," Yuffie chimes before slapping a hand over her mouth, "Oops, I mean Princess Kiara."
Inwardly you flinch at the title tighten your fist shivering in anger. "You want me to be your puppet! While you pull all the strings while I carry a false title I don't even deserve! I won't be a part of your little coup!"
"If I may but in," a polite voice starts coming from Basil. Crawling of and presenting himself in front of everyone it is clear he means business. Crossing your arms you look back at Kimahri shooting him a questioning look.
Clearing his throat he makes his speech; "Why has this not been brought up with such zeal in the past? Surely you now is a rather stressful time I must admit. Moreover she does not have princess educate or any recollections of her life as a princess. Continue rebuilding and make yourselves rulers, I can't imagine a more fitting reward."
"Basil...." You are touched by your friends defense.
"If only it were that easy...." Aeris states with a heavy breath.
"There's something we haven't-" Yuffie starts looking guilty.
"....King Mickey instructed us as a wish from..... Ans- your father..."
"M-m-my father?!" The thought more warms you turns your cold. "I have a family?! He's alive!?"
From their sullen faces you can imagine the worse. "No.... He's-" Yuffie starts but looks away not bothering to finish.
"Regardless you'll be ruler and-"
"No!" You shout feeling the weight of their desires of which you should be burden your shoulders.
"I promised myself I will be to the one to choose my own road, my own destiny, and my own life," you feverishly continue placing a hand to your heart. "I'm aware I don't remember my friends.... Sora.... Kimahri.... or any of you, but if you were truly my friends you would respect my decision no matter how foolish it may be! It's time for me to write my story with my own chosen ending!"
"Kiru...."
"You don't understand how it feels to not know who you are only to tell people who you have to be. Those memories.... that person.... me...." Pausing to you shutting your eyes tightly to try and sooth the pressure in your heart. "Are all in the past.... Why can't anyone realize I'm just trying to find who I am not what they say I am."
"Don't be selfish, Kiru," Leon scolds looking down at you with authority, "This role has been assigned to you from birth."
Your anger rises to the brink as your knuckles clutch, you swear you can see red. "Don't you dare tell me I'm being selfish or it's my 'destiny'! Because it's not! No one is going to tell me who I am!" You scream shaking in grief.
(Note: Technically they are the same.... Heh, silly writers trying to use more than one word to describe one thing.)
"Kiru.... Please calm down," Aeris halt whispers visibly shaken from your trauma.
An uncontrollable laughter takes over at first sounding weak then increasing tempo that of a manic laugh as if some animalist or strange emotion takes over. At first you find the laughter an unconscious why to cover up your embarrassment, but as you try to stop you find it impossible. Leon and his gang look at you perturbed as much as you are by the continuous laughter even as you cover your mouth.
'W-what.... What the hell is wrong with me?! I-I can't stop laughing! It's just so.....'
"How dare you command me!" You find a dark voice deep inside your heart saying as you cover your face.
"Kiru!" Leon snaps noticing your eyes brimming with red.
Standing up triumph you feel the need or rather greed to speak your the thoughts you have suppress. "I am Kiru!" Pulling out your Keyblade from air you point it cheatingly at Leon, Aeris, Yuffie, and Cid. "Keyblade Master! Destoryer of Heartless! Yet you always want more!"
"Kiru! Snap out of it!" Basil chimes in.
'Kiru.... Just let it go.... Don't dwell in anger and sorrow....'
Feeling your anger beginning to dwindle so you lower your Keyblade along with your head. "I'm sorry.... I- I..... I don't understand!"
".... Kiru...." Aeris starts.
Much to you surprise you hear someone approach placing strong hands on your shoulder. Through the curtain made of your hair you can make out Leon's face looking down sternly yet almost like a father. "Go have a chat Merlin. He should be back from his trip."
"....Yah.... That probably would be best," you mutter in a childish manner turning your back on them and walking off.
Within a good distance Basil asks; "What was that all about, Kiru?"
"I-I don't know.... I don't wanna talk about it."
"Right, well.... Off to Merlin's House then. Perhaps he can sort all this out," Basil explains sighing heavily nervously retreating back to the safety of your pocket.
Crawling away from the scene of your rather dramatic breakdown you try to not think of the events for a change focusing on anything else. What scares you so much about the event is your total lost of control - like being pushed off to the side - and feeling of being weak. Between knowing nothing of the past and losing yourself to random mood swings you could it feel it begin break your sanity.
"Really, my dear. Don't bother yourself too much with it," Basil starts in popping his head out, "You were put on the spot and had a nervous breakdown. Humans have them all the time."
"Whatever...." You drawl on gloomy.
"Don't be so glum all the time! It causes wrinkles."
".... Right." Standing in front of the house Sora entered you take a deep breath before entering.
"Oh, hello Merlin," you voice dorkishly inwardly awed and excited by the appearance of another wizard. Looking around you see Sora and his friends nowhere in sight. 'Yen Sid helped me so Merlin has to give me some sort of help.'
"Well hello Princess Kiara. It's been awhile hasn't it?"
"Princess?" Donald ponders in mocking tone.
"Kiara?" Sora questions also taken back.
"Garsh, Kiru. I didn't know you were undercover," Goofy states.
With a heavy sigh and shrug of the shoulders you ignore their questions and the wrong name. Obviously the wizard doesn't have all his bolts screwed in. Surely you don't look like a Kiara well maybe the name doesn't even sound remotely familiar.
"Um, that's not my name, sir," you explain clearing up the confusion. "Just Kiru if you please."
"Really?" Merlin fumbles with a pair of spectacles from his pocket lifting them at the bridge of his nose. He then proceeds to study you intently; it's very unnerving.
'Well this is hardly what I was expecting. Then again nothing ever is.'
"Well you surely have grown up quite some lot from a year ago. Strange I can only now recall your family history," explains the embarrassed elder, "But yes if Kiru is the name you want then Kiru it shall be."
"Thank you. Maybe later you can tell me about my family history," you resolve. 'I wonder if Basil knows as well, or is he not telling me things again.'
"Kiru doesn't remember a lot of her past," Sora explains stressing your name.
"Kiru is able to speak for herself," snaps Basil so suddenly that you flinch. Interestingly enough Sora seems to neither hear nor care what Basil states.
"Merlin your good with magic. Can you give Kiru back her memories?" Sora questions.
"I can certainly try my dear boy," chimes Merlin. Turning to face you Merlin's old face lights up as he strokes his beard. "But magic can't solve everything I must warn you."
You shrug inwardly giving your consent. "That's fine, you might as well try."
From under his sleeve Merlin pulls out a sort of stick like object - a wand. "Now close your eyes and relax, this won't hurt a bit," Merlin states.
"If you-"
"Abeo absconditus!" The last thing you see is Merlin's face only to within seconds find yourself in a room of endless white - rather sickening with no color - all alone.
"What is this place? Is this- Is this my mind!?"
The illogic situations you find yourself continually in never cease to amaze you - as if some God or person took pleasure in adding drama effect for his or her amazement. Regardless of the weirdness you find yourself once again alone looking around for signs of life not even Basil - usually in your pocket - was by your side. It is all too apparent Merlin has made a terrible flaw in his casting.
"Kiru...?" A soft girlish voice fills the air. Turning around quickly you see Namine - or an imagine of Namine - floating or rather levitating in midair smiling politely.
"Namine? What are you doing here?" Indeed it was none other than Namine. She appeared real enough if not for the hovering slightly above the ground and the unnaturally bland white surroundings.
She smiles softly and states; "This is your memories. I've implanted a part of me in your memories until you remember the real me."
In good humor you smile sheepishly happy to see a familiar face even if she speaks in riddles. "Um, ok. That's a bit confusing - implanting memory of yourself that can talk to me. But why am I here? Did Merlin mess with my head and I somehow got stuck here," you guess turning serious.
"More or less. Actually I'm here to warn you in the case of you trying to recollect your memories without doing it yourself," the young blonde explains pausing to smile in a caring manner, "And to talk to you about things."
"Awesome we get to talk again, I have so much to tell you about my adventures so far Nam-" It suddenly hits you this isn't in fact the real Namine, but an illusion. "Never mind.... Can you tell me where the real Namine is? I mean if I reach out you'll disappear.... Won't you?"
Namine's eyes turn gloomy. "I am only her memory I can tell you nothing you, yet I am still her and more real in your memories than in the world."
Her riddling answer and yet her cheery expression remains like a mask. "Oh well.... What do you want me to tell me," you drawl tonelessly.
"You've meet him haven't you?"
"Who, Leon? Kimahri?"
"Sora. You meet him. Does he remember you?" Namine questions.
"Yah, but-" you look down at your shoes clutching your hand, "-I don't remember him. But we were friends once. Very close friends...."
"Yes...." Her eyes smile. "You still are. He thinks of you fondly next to 'her' and Riku."
"Riku.... I've heard the name before.... In my memories as well," you eyes return to Namine's smiling ones, "How does Sora remember me when I don't remember him. Are my other friends the same why."
The light in her eyes dims. "Sora has never truly forgotten you when I changed his memories as he did with her. Xurik's presence was allows around reminding him of something missing; though she never told him of about you."
"Xurik? Is she your friend?" Namine nods at the mention of her eyes going faraway.
"Yes.... She taught me a lot, but in the end she left," Namine concludes surprisingly not upset about that sad fact.
"I'm so sorry...." She says nothing so you press on. "Namine something is wrong with me I feel so lost when I'm around people."
"I am the one who did this to you," Namine confesses looking guiltily down at the floor, "But you can fix it. In time everything will return."
"Namine, I know you say youre the one who did this and you may be right, but why?"
Her head keeps low. "Orders from.... I can not say..... But he ordered me to give you selective memories and destroy the rest, but memories are hard to destroy completely."
"But that still doesn't explain why you let me free. In time you could have masked all my memories yet you saved me from that place," you clarify shivering at the remembrance of that prison.
"I began to realize what I was doing was not helping, but was slowly twisting you into a single-minded doll," she explains looking up at you, "I couldn't let 'her' life become in vain so you would turn into something."
You ponder all that Namine has told you. "Namine.... What memories would have those been that should have been so damaging? Does it have anything to do with my sudden mood swings and powers?"
Namine's face deepens in depression. "....To an extent.... In a way it's a defense triggered by your unstable soul, damaged heart, and recovering body brought on by the lack of memories....." Her face brightens slightly as she holds a hand to her heart still looking more in thought than saddened. "You're still so much like me in a sense..... Not whole..... An incomplete being....."
"Incomplete.... being?" The thought confuses and frightens you; "But I'm real.... I exist, Namine.... just like you do. How is that incomplete?"
She nods growing sober; "You're slowly rebuilding yourself subconsciously as you gain new memories you will never be like me..... I-I was wrong."
"Namine.... What makes you so different from me? I don't understand!" You have no clue why Namine is putting herself down so.
"I'm a Nobody, Kiru....." Namine replies softly closing her eyes; "But it doesn't bother me anymore...."
Your truly feel apathy for the blonde. "Namine...."
Her timid blue eyes open as she smiles softly and comfortingly as her image begins to shimmer and break. "We'll meet again.... Kiru. You may not recognize me and I may not recognize you, but we will see each other again-" You don't wait for her to finish as you walk up to her fading image reaching out to grab her hand only to causing her broken image to break into a million pieces ascending up into nothingness.
"Namine...."
"-We will meet again! I promise!"
The white all around you begins to dull to a gray twisting the endless nothingness of white to darkness weighing you down into darkness. "Namine!"
Like waking up sharply from a dream you find yourself surrounded by Merlin who has a wand to your forehead and Kimahri looking on intently. Clearing his throat Merlin taps his wand nervously against the palm of his hand.
"Well.... it appears your memories will not be unlocked by simple magic," Merlin confesses. You nod look totally shocked and confused by Namine's good-bye.
'Is she really gone forever....'
"Come now, my dear," Merlin soothes patting gently on the head. "Don't think magic can solve all your problems. Sit, sit." Merlin pulls out his wand uttering the words; "Higitus Figitus," causing something to scoop you by the rear causing you to land on it. Looking down you see it is nothing more than a simple wooden chair.
"A little warning next time would be nice," you admit breathing in and out from the strange event. Shaking away the lingering feelings of confusion you reflect on the events and the problems of your current situation regarding becoming Queen.
"Now I once knew a young man in your very same position," Merlin explains stroking his bread looking up in thought, "Yes, a rather rebellious young man. About your height I believe-"
Hopelessly you bury your face in your hands. "Is this going to end up being a long story about Sora?" You huff sighing loudly.
The elderly man huffs indigently. "Now look here it just so happens it's a story of King Arthur, I'm sure you've heard of him," Merlin states.
"Doesn't ring a bell. Who is he?" At your words Basil hops out of your pocket displaying himself on the table.
"Good evening, Merlin."
Merlin looks down at Basil squinting his eyes before adjusting his spectacles and states; "Why if it isn't Basil of Baker Street - The Great Mouse Detective."
"At your service, sir," Basil comments, eyes glittering from the honored title. "In absent of my... err colleagues brain allow me to indulge you."
"Hey!"
"Very well! No need to be so formal, Basil," Merlin laughs stroking his bread.
Placing your chin in your hands your mouth makes a defeated groan; "What you two know something I don't know or don't remember..... great."
"Actually, my dear you ever had the pleasure of meeting Arthur," Merlin clarifies shutting his eyes, "It's funny how much you and Arthur are alike.... But it's been so long.... Many years...."
Looking down at Basil shooting his a bemused look you decide to humor the wizard. "How so? I can't imagine a great king like King Arthur being like me, I'm just a girl with absent memories."
Merlin chuckles at your foolishness; "I see you never heard the story of the King Arthur. Have you my dear?"
It seems more like a statement than a question. "No...." you drone.
Clearing his throat Basil readies himself for a speech; "Said to be nothing more than a legend, King Arthur was or maybe is the chosen ruler of Camelot and owner of the famous sword Excalibur. He led the land of Camelot into an age of peace before...."
"Before what?"
"Well you see the rest of the tale is cut off.... Unknown," Merlin finishes.
"So.... Not to sound rude, but what does this have to do with me?" You ask eyes narrowing in wonder, "Youre going to scold me about being selfish for not accepting my role as Queen."
"Not exactly, young one," Merlin mumbles seriously before sighing heavily conjuring up a cup of tea with a wave of his hand sipping it timidly. "He never was accepting of the title forced on him that fateful day. I lead him as best I could, but then the Heartless came or rather a Heartless."
He pauses to take another a sip of tea or to add dramatic tension neither way he has Kimahri, Basil, and your attention. Merlin looks up at you with a fatherly twinkle in his eye uttering the words; "Care for some tea, Kiru? Kimahri?"
Repressing the urge to perform a dramatic fall from the chair. "No, I'm fine," you huff, "Please continue!"
"Right well perhaps it's best if I show you instead," he explains setting down his tea cup and stands up.
"Show me?" Your eyes light up at the words. "You have the magic to do that?!"
Merlin huffs giving you an indigent glare. "What do you take me for? A sammy illusionist or two-cent magician?!"
"No, no. I'm sure she didn't mean that," Basil speaks up standing up, "Though you magic spell isn't very practical if compared with science."
"But dear sir magic and science and both on the same plane of existence," Merlin argues, "There is the magic of science and the science of magic."
Basil huffs; "Well that's hardly-"
"Don't mind Basil, Merlin. He's doesn't know when to shut up," you confess drawing attention and focus back to you, "Can you just show me now."
"Certainly!" Merlin cheers pulling out a stick or rather wand from out of his sleeve pointing at you. "This won't hurt a bit."
"Ok!" Kimahri positions himself at your side ever the diligent friend and Basil drives back into your pocket.
"Higitus Sapien Argo-"
Just at that moment the door bursts open. "Merlin! Where's Kiru-" A voice belonging to none other than Sora is heard.
"Sora-!?"
Merlin looks confused about the interruption but finishes the spell. "Ad Locum!"
(Note: Looking up the words Merlin said Higitus [I can only guess means move] Agro I guess means "start with" Sapien means "man". And Ad Locum is Latin for "at the place". Now all this should be completely BS so don't hold me to this. But translated it says "Move man start with at the place" which sounds like an unfinished sentence.)
"Merlin?!" Sora questions in confusion as you look back and further from Sora to Merlin.
"Oh dear, I forgot a word...." Merlin confess as nothing dramatic or climatic appears.
"Well that was-" From the middle of the room appears a small black hole. "Woah!"
Before your eyes the black hole grows consuming all around it flushing it into the unknown. Without question or hesitant Sora reaches out for our hand holding it tightly as the current of the hole begins to grow pulling all around it into it. Merlin ushers Donald and Goofy out but to their grief along with Kimahri.
"Sora....!"
Sora struggles to drag you to the door - you can feel his grip loosening. "Sora! If you don't let go you'll be taken too!" You shout through the whipping chaos. "Just let go!"
"Just hold on!" Poor Basil shouts dangling on by a piece of loose thread.
"I'm not going to let go!" Sora manages to get you closer. "I won't lose you! NEVER AGAIN!!"
His pure emotions put into the sentence shocks you. It is only then you can see tears in his eyes. "Sora...." You're touched deeply he cares so deeply for you.
"So don't you dare let go! I gotta ya!" Sora cries. Blushing you grip tighter holding onto his arm.
"I know.... You'll never lose me," you whisper feeling a sense of deja-vu and extreme emotion.
"Kiru! Sora!" Donald and Goofy shout from outside sticking their heads holding out their hands.
"Grab on!" Goofy reports. Sora nods taking Goofy's hand just as the current and hole as devoured most of the room.
Hugging Sora's arm you struggle to keep you grip at the same time scooping up Basil stuffing him into your pocket. "Thank you kindly!" He shouts. You nod -sort of- frantically trying to stay calm.
"Sora....." You're eyes shut firmly.
"Sora! You're so slow!"A young familiar voice sings in your mind.
"Sora! I can take care of myself!"
"Sora! Watch me climb this tree!"
"Sora! Are you listening!"
The voice soon sounds like your own. "Sora.... Just whistle.... I'm come running.....
"Sora.... You and I-"
"You remember?!" Sora shouts in joyously.
"You and I.... We use to be together all the time before all this, but I can't remember our adventures - we had them right?"
"Stop with the mushy talk!" Donald shouts out. "You're slipping!"
Just as you attempt to regain your hand you feel something grapple your leg completely blocking you from getting a better hold. "Kiru!" The one to shout this time is Kimahri who sticks head through the door only to be held by Merlin - not really - latching onto him. Looking behind you see many dark hands shoot out wrapping around you.
"Crap.... This isn't good," you mumble. Rather sharply they tug at once completely breaking your grip flinging you into the dark abyss.
"Kiru!" Is the last thing you hear before you feel yourself falling back and back into the portal.
(Note: I find the music video very interesting and funny as hell. ^_^ I swear anything strange and outlandish I will be all over like fat kid on cake. Also it leads up to a combo of music videos.
Basically I'm comparing the lyrics to something that will happen yet the line to tell a legendary story "...how can we win.... when fools can be kings" refers to Kiru to in a way because she is not fit to be a Queen yet anyone else would be the same thing. The rest is what Kiru is feeling (or rather will feel soon).

No one's gonna take me alive,
The time has come to make things right,
You and I must fight for our rights,
You and I must fight to survive,
No one's gonna take me alive,
The time has come to make things right,
You and I must fight for our rights,
You and I must fight to survive
No one's going to take me alive,
The time has come to make things right,
You and I must fight for our rights,
You and I must fight to survive.

"Gentleman! Gentleman!" A proud voice shouts belonging to Basil. Ever so carefully he makes him way to your shoulder, all eyes on him. "We can all be civil about this. My young ward here as simply got found herself in this strange sitution unintently. All we require is knowledge of a wizard or some such portal so we may leave in peace. Do you gentlemen know of such?"
"A WITCH!!! SHE'S A WITCH!!!" A chorus rings from behind.
"So where is this Lady of the Lake," you question, "I guess we're not important enough, heh."
"So you're the true King.... You're King Arthur," you mutter letting the knowledge sink in.
