"This is it?" You asked surprised, lifting the envelopes contents to meet Lizs eyes. She nodded and left her seat, still keeping her head down.
"Its on your own, you'll have contact with me but..." Her hands were shaking as she suddenly ran up to you giving you a hug, sobbing into your top.
"Its too hard! I dont want you to go alone!" She choked out as you returned her embrace. Liz never usually acted like this, it was alien to you.
"I'll be fine, no worries right?" You whispered as she backed up and dried her eyes.
"...right..." Liz nodded to you and left the SOLDIER quarters, as quietly as she came, with you looking on.
Your mission was to go back to Wutai alone to find out where Genesis dissapeared to. There was SOLDIERS there that needed to be elimanated, also you needed to retrive a file that was taken by some of the SOLDIERS. Unfortunately, they didnt give you information on what the file was about but they informed you that the SOLDIERS were some of the best around, they were injected with something, making them stronger.Great. You were to depart the facility in 3 days by helicopter. Why the hell did they think that you could do this alone? You were first class, but you werent that good.
'This is going to be interesting' you thought to yourself as you tucked the envelope into your pocket (you were wearing a tank top, combat trousers (pants) and combat boots) and hurried along to find Sephiroth. You werent paying very good attention, as you felt yourself bump against something hard, making you stumble.
"Sorry, I-"
"Its ok, you alright?" You looked up to see the familiar face of the one, the only! ...Zack Fair! A slight blush spread across your face.
"Y-yeah, Im fine Zack"
"You sure? Your bright red" He answered touching your cheek with his gloved hand, making your face turn even redder. You nodded your head vigorously and Zack stood back with that cheeky smile of his.
"Where you heading?" He asked leaning against the wall, as you recollected you thoughts and answered that you were going to inform Sephiroth of your new mission.
"Hey, why dont you come train with me and we go find Sephiroth later, I think hes busy anyway" Zack said, getting up off the wall and looking down at you.(You were slightly smaller than him)
"Ok, if you want to" You smiled at him and he returned it as you both walked to one of the SOLDIERS training facility. It was outside which was nice, and it had a track, an area with weights, shooting range and a fighting area. You and Zack headed over to the Fighting arena, passing a group of running normal classed SOLDIERS.
"Hey Cloud! You there?" Zack shouted over to what looked like another SOLDIER, or was it a guard? Well either way the guy named Cloud turned to look over as Zack jogged over, followed closely by you.
"Hey Cloud; Id like you to meet my friend, Angel!" He said as you leaned forward, ready to shake his hand.
"Hey, so your Cloud right?"
"Yeah, as you might have guessed by his shouting" You giggled and shook hands.
"Well, why dont we get started Angel" He rubbed his hands together and walked out onto the arena. With a grin you walked to the other side.
"You too are fighting? Zack, I think you should back down now, she looks fierce!" Cloud joked and your grin widened.
"We'll see about that, lets say I buy us three dinner out?"
You cracked your knuckles as Zack stood in a defensive stance.
"Bring it on"
