So I'm not very happy with this chapter. Take it as a filler, mmkay? Messages are lovely, as are banners. Enjoy!

You Know...Stuff

I found it becoming extremely difficult to read Joseph's emotions. He seemed to be a locked safe, but not if I had anything to say about it. After our little run in at the pool, and me shoving him in, I made my way into the house to take a much needed shower. The smell of chlorine was overwhelming, causing my head to pound.

Once fully clothed, I made my way out of my room only to see my cousin standing outside the bathroom down the hall. Either she really had to go, or she was waiting for someone to get their lazy ass out of there. Suddenly, the door swung open revealing a, once again, shirtless Joseph. What happened next took me by surprise. It felt as though Joe knew that I was watching his every move. As though he knew I would be falling for him in the near future. Claire opened her arms wide, hugging him tightly. He shot a look in my direction and smirked. I found myself smirking back. I wasn't going to let this pretty boy get the best of me... Operation take Jonas Down was definitely a go.

"Erynn m'lady! How are we after our incredibly long shower?" Kevin asked as he filled his mug with freshly brewed coffee. Just the smell made me gag. I never was much of a coffee drinker, only when it was absolutely freezing, or if we were out of hot chocolate.

"Oh please. I took like, five minutes, unlike your brother. He, on the other hand, decided to drain the entire ocean."

"Well, that's Joseph for you. He always has to look his best. So, what do you think of the Jonas clan?"

"Let's see. I like the Kevin dude, he's pretty cool. Nicholas as well. I am in love with that boy's hair. Frankie, well, Frank's gunna grow up to be a little heart breaker, and your parents seem pretty cool."

"What about Joseph?"

"What about him?"

"You're not going ga-ga over him? Every other girl we've met has."

"I cant imagine why. He's a total ass prick. I know better than to involve myself with people of his stature."

"Involve yourself? So you have been having thoughts about my younger brother, huh?"

"Well, yeah. I mean, you'd be an idiot not to, but like I stated previously, he's an inconsiderate jerk."

"Who's an inconsiderate jerk?" Joe asked as he came down the stairs, looking as hot as ever like he normally does. His hair bounced with every step he took, revealing the opportunity to glance into his eyes every now and then.

"Oh, inconsiderate! That's such a big word for you, Joseph. I must say, I'm rather proud." Again, I felt myself smirking. Perhaps it was something this boy did to me, perhaps not. I just knew I had never in my life smirked as much as I had in the past three hours.

"On the contrary, Erynn, I am rather intelligent, whether you believe it or not. And you have absolutely no right to call me Joseph!" Anger began to rise in his voice again. Why did he seem to be so easy riled up?

"Slow your roll there, pretty boy. No need to pop a blood vessel. What do you prefer I call you? I mean, due to the fact that I'm not allowed you call you by your name, that is? Ah, perhaps annoying, or childish will work just fine."

"So guys, what're we doing now?" Nick asked as he sauntered his way down the stairs, never taking his eyes off the couch. When he finally reached us, he jumped over the side, landing on his back as he stared up at the ceiling.

An idea ran across my mind suddenly. Jealously was the sincerest form of flattery. "You know Nick; I never noticed how amazing your eyes are. I mean, I know I met you like three hours ago, but how could I not?! They're so captivating and beautiful."

"Uh, thanks Erynn. Your eyes are beautiful too. It's very rare that you find blue eyes that don't eat a hole thru your heart." He mumbled as he smiled up at me. Somewhere in the process of complimenting the youngest Jonas on his eyes, I had made my way over to the couch on which he was lying.

"Ok, I'm sorry. I know you probably get this a lot, but I love your hair. It's so soft! And here I thought it would be hard, what with all the gels and everything you must use. But once again, you've proved me wrong, Nicholas." I felt another smirk forming on my lips as I ran my fingers thru his wild hair. So I wasn't lying about it being soft and amazing, I couldn't lie about everything. The blush on Nick's face caused me to smirk even more.

"Uh, well, yeah. I use all natural hair supplements. No gel in this hair, that I can promise."

"Uh, you know, he gets his hair products from me! I'm the one with the best hair in this family!" I flipped my head around as I glanced at Joe. My planned was seemingly going smoothly.

"I'd say Nick's is way better. Then Kevin. Who wants all that mushy gel in their hair? Talk about stank."

"Not if all natural supplements are used. My hair is just as soft, if not softer, than my younger brothers. And that, I can promise."

"Ok, whatever. It's just hair. I'm an eyes girl myself, and I must say, Nick's got a pair that could make your heart stop beating." I could sense Joe growing angrier and angrier with each comment I threw into Nick's favor. There seemed to be an unspoken competition between the brothers, and at this moment, Nick was winning.

"They're just brown. If you really look at them, they blend in with his pupils. What's so amazing about them? Besides, hazel eyes are so much more attractive. They change color with mood, and shirt color. I myself was blessed with a pair."

"Fascinating. Everyone knows that blue and brown eyes are the best. It's just common sense." I could tell this tweaked him a little too much. For his brothers both had brown eyes, and he, as he said, was blessed with hazel eyes.

"Blue eyes are frigid. One look from someone with blue eyes and your heart will be frozen in your chest. They just show how nasty that person is."

"Believe what you want, Nick's eyes are still nicer than your's."

"Whatever Spencer. You know my eyes are way better than my brothers." The way he spat out 'brother' showed me that something was up. A bit of jealously, perhaps?

"I can't believe you two are fighting about eye color! Who cares?" Kevin asked as he threw his hands up in exasperation. Joe was blowing this way out of proportion, which was exactly what I wanted.

"Aw Kev, Joe's just jealous because his eyes aren't as nice as Nick's. I'd be jealous if my younger brother had more desirable traits too."

"Nick, has more desirable traits then me?! HA! You're funny, Spencer. Nick is about as desirable as the fire hydrant down the street."

"Well for one thing, Nick isn't an ass. Which definitely makes him more desirable. Perhaps if you didn't show your ignorance so much, girls would take a liking to you as well. And not just your seven year old fans."

"Oh, that one struck me deep. I think I might go cry in a corner. At least I make something of myself."

"The only thing you make of yourself is a fool. I wouldn't be caught dead singing to girls half my age. Maybe you should take their offer for a date; it's probably the only offer you'll ever receive."

"If I keep hanging around girls like you, I believe that's a possibility. How many guys have you pushed away with your bitchy attitude and aggressive personality?" Shit. Why was it so easy for him to read me? It wasn't like I was an open book.

"What's it too ya, Jonas?! Maybe there's a reason I'm such a bitch."

"Oh, and what's that Spencer? I'm sure we'd all love to hear it."

"That's for me to know and for you to find out. That is, if you're strong to be around me for more than five minutes. Judging by the look of you, I think you'll last, eh, I'll give ya two minutes."

"Oh, we'll see about that."
