I thought Sesshomaru had a cold heart {-37-}

recap: you had asked to go to your parents house,
-Quiz Start-
"Sesshomaru please i'm begging you, i just need to go find someone...." you didn't exactly know how you could explain this so you beckoned him over and he leaned in. "i think amber could possibly be my one friend from the future..i need to know. please. i promise i shall not go to my parents and i won't go to kagome. i won't do anything but figure out if its true. please" you whispered in his ear, trying to convince him. He looked as if he were considering it. Then he closed his eyes, and when he opened them he gave a piercing glance. "i suppose" he said. "oh thank you sesshomaru thank you thank you thank you!" you screamed and almost glomped him. But, remembering what you were suppose to be doing you turned to run up the steps but was interrupted when a silver flurry slipped past you and stopped in front of you. "On one condition." he said. o god. you were sure it was something dreadful. "I get to come with you" he stated. your jaw dropped. "you? in the future? with me? Sesshomaru...idk....thats not a very good idea...your long white hair kinda stands ou-" "Are you telling me my hair is a disgrace?" he questioned. "Fuck no! i'm just saying...it looks very..different....hmmm" *maybe i can like...make him look like he's from my time* you thought. you stood there for about 10 minutes lost in thought about what you could do with him until he finally got tired of staring at you and tapped you on the shoulder. "Are you still alive? kia?" he asked. You shivered. "oh, yeah...sorry. Say, Lord Sesshomaru,would you come here for a minute?" you asked him, pleafully. "I suppose...but only for a couple" he said. You dragged him up several stair cases to your bedroom's bathroom and looked through all the stuff you had there. no hairbands. no caps. no nothing. shit, he'd have to come to the future and you'd have to steal some of kagome's stuff. "ok, forget this. We're gonna have to steal some of kagome's things to-" "kia, i said i would come with you. i never said anyone would see me. You've not got to worry about that its covered, please, calm yourself." he suggested. you took a couple of deep breaths and sat down on the floor. your head hurt like a bitch. "thank you" you said. he lifted you up by your arms and embraced you. not sesshomaru's normal behavior but you'd seen worse. "Besides Naraku's little stunt, I don't know what could possibly have you so upset, Kia," he stated. "I know...i'm just...ill i guess. i mean eating irregularly and then..i just dont know. Thank You Sesshomaru. Thank you for being there when i needed you" it had turned from a very casual moment to an extremely serious one. "i'm so thankful for you to be in my life, i truely am" you told him. "yes i know. i am forever grateful to be in your presence, Queen Tsukiko" he said. that threw you off. you hadn't been called 'queen tsukiko' for quite sometime..in fact you'd nearly forgotten that you were a Vampiress Queen. "You do, Kia, need to get in touch with your inner vampire again. Whether you like it or not, you have a vampire kingdom to run. For now i suppose they'll be ok, but eventually we'll have to keep them from going out of control sometime soon though...so dont' forget about them" "i shall not" you replied. "well, why don't we leave tonight. go to bed, get some rest." he instructed. You turned on your heal and went straight to your bedroom and drifted off. . . . . .
~Next Morning~
"Kiiiaaaa!!! Lord Sesshomaru sent me to awaken you! he wants you to get ready immediately!!!" a very squeaky, annoying creature named Jaken said next to you. Before making any other movement to follow any of those orders, you bashed him on the head and sent him away, then remained in the bedroom to see what you could find. *I don't think i'll need any of this. I'll just wear the clothes i came in, it will look most natural* you thought to yourself. In the end you had Tripp pants, a black tank top, a spike bracelet, and a choker on. Your hair was in a messy bun but it didn't matter. As soon as you stepped out the door, you were surprised to find Sesshomaru standing right outside the door waiting, but then again, you'd kinda gotten used to things like that happening. "What do you think your wearing. I told you i never wanted to see those clothes again" he demanded an answer from you, and by the look in his eyes, you were gonna give him one....or else. "If you keep your eyes open, when you get to japan you'll notice almost everybody dresses like this.." you answered. He didn't say anything, just nodded and led you out the door.
The walk through the woods didn't take as long as usual. Neither you or Sesshomaru said a word the whole trip. you did notice, however, that he was walking beside you, not in front. and everytime you tried to move behind him, he would switch positions to be beside you. Fed up with it, you asked. "Your always insisting to be in the front, why the hell are you walking beside me now??" "Because, Queen Tsukiko, with matched power and strength, we are both equals. You are not a lesser demon, or vampire for that mattter. I know very well you haven't given out your full power yet, and therefore i can't be exactly sure of what your capable of..but i know we are at least equal." he replied. At first you didn't understand, then it hit you: it was like a pecking order. Dogs always travel in packs and the strongest dog always led, so it only made since that Dog Demons would do the same thing, just in a human sort of way. "Oh, i see" you said. He nodded, then you spotted the well and ran forward, jumping straight in. Sesshomaru doing the same. When you both appeared on the other side, you asked " How did you go through? i thought only half demons mad-" he pulled out a piece of the Shikon no Tama, which explained it all. "Oh," was all you said in contrast. When you looked back, Sesshomaru was gone. *he's good, i forgot we were in the middle of Japan and everyone watches everything..i'm such a dumbtard* you thought to yourself. ***Your not a dumbtard Kia, just forgetful*** a voice that sounded like Sesshomaru's sounded in your mind. *WTF?!!* ***Yes kia, its me, i can read your thoughts with the shikon no tama, check your neck*** the voice interrupted. Automatically you reached and touched your neck where you felt the shikon no tama. *OMG* you thought. ***no worries kia its not going to kill you. but it does let me see what you are thinking. honestly, i do say you have some rather odd thoughts though*** .....you tried not to think but you couldn't help it. *oh great. now i have absolutely no privacy* you thought. (by the way this (*) is your thoughts, this (***) is sesshomaru's thoughts.) ***hurry and do what you said you were gonna do...unless of course...you had actually planned something else*** *NO! i came to see if amber was my friend katana. really, but i have to wait until school tomorrow...which i've probably missed too much of.* ***do whatever needs doing but make it fast*** *sure, but where shall i stay tonight?* "you will stay with me. . . follow" he suddenly appeared beside you and at first you were a little startled, then, as usual you followed Sesshomaru's commands. he led you down many alley ways and down random streets. *he's never been to japan..he'll lose his way. great* "don't be so sure of yourself kia, being a great demon as i am i know plenty. i've been to this land many times." he replied to your thoughts. "Will you plz stay out of my head!" you shouted. a little too loud. "As you wish" he replied again. *Thank you* you thought. "Your welcome" he said. "i thought you were gonna stay out of my head?" you asked again. "I am" "No your not or wouldn't wouldn't have heard me say "thank you." "Ah, you got me there" he finished, and then a complete silence fell over as you walked through the streets of Tokyo japan.
Finally, after another 5 hours of walking through the streets, sesshomaru found a subway and entered the tunnel. "I'm going to kill you. there are plenty of subw-" he spun around and grabbed you by your esophogous (or your neck watever) and tightened his grip, not letting go. "Your going to kill me??" "no..s-s-sesshoma-ru.....it was a fig-figure of sspeech" you croaked. He dropped you to the ground and continued down the tunnel. *wow..he hasn't done that in a while....that can really give someone an adrenaline rush!* you thought to yourself. "so you think its fun when i do that?" he asked. "no...just sorta blood rushing" you replied. Neither of you said any more as he made his way around all the people. then he started down into the bottom. when he finally got down the last set of stairs, you discovered that no one had been down where sesshomaru took you in years. it had no trash or animals and it was completly desserted. He lay down his fluff (i know the big 'm' word but i like 'fluff' more ok lol) and sat on top of it, patting the spot beside him for you to sit. You did so. "I"m sorry but this is the only suitable spot." he told you. "why" "because, did you not notice the way the sun was blinding you? your transforming into your vampire state for some reason." he replied. "Yes i did think the sun was rather blinding." "Then its true." he said and laid your head on his shoulder so you could comfortably fall into a listless sleep.
~Sesshomaru's POV~
***why it is so important for her to meet this friend i do not know. Amber was the one following us into the castle...was she not? i do not see how more than one person was set to do what kia is: to be born in the present and come back to the past and such to bring differences among the world and keep us from dying out all over again. but.. i just don't see. She's so different. I don't know what it is but when i'm around her all my seriousness...my inner proud just..collapses. its not right. i must force myself away from her before i lose myself. but if i leave her.........no one will be there to acompany her. i shouldn't care. all creatures of the world must be able to fend for themselves or die. . . surely kia wouldn't die.. but...then again... if she really loves me.. no. i can't except that. here i am fighting with myself..again... over a being which is not pure and not sane. . . but i have feelings. . .i. . . i don't-*** you got so tired of fighting with yourself you just gave up to sleep you'd been needing in a while. something about her being beside you made you more comfortable and the ability to sleep overcame you and it got the better.
~next morning~
"AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" you heard someone scream. Your extremely sensitive ears knew exactly what they'd heard: a scream of Kia's. It was right next to you and you shot a glance down toward her. With bloodshot eyes, she was looking back. "What, kia, are you screaming about?" you questioned. "He...he...he...he was coming for me again...l-like he did every nigh-night i was there....in th-that horrid castle of his...i don't want him to do it again! S-Sesshomaru, my Lord, Please.....do-don't let him get me. I-I know you have n-no mercy or respect for beings w-who cannot defend themselves...b-but please..i-" you cupped a hand over her mouth and she shushed. "Naraku will not come for you here. You are safe. He cannot grasp you away when you are so close to me. Do not worry. Go back to sleep." you ordered. "I-its not daylight?" she asked. You gave her that look that clearly said 'do as i said' and she understood. but the look in her eyes before she closed them again slightly frightened you. she was so scared..even in the grasp of a demon ever so great, she trembled. It made you wonder if rape was the only thing that poor Kia was a victim of. "How dare i think her poor. her great powers, her stance as queen of the vampires....she need not be afraid of a halfbreed such as naraku, even if she is such, herself." you whispered, then stroked a strand of hair out of her face before lying back down.
~Kia's POV~
You woke up slowly,forgetting all about your awakening last morning. It must have been noon, for you could hear the ppl moving all over the subway up above. before you heard nothing. when you tried sitting up, you felt something furry against your arm. Catching yourself just in time as to not scream, you turned around to find sesshomaru, eyes open, watching you intently. "Oh..good morning, Sesshomaru." you told him. He did that thing where he closed his eyes briefly, then glared back at you with those gorgeous, golden eyes, tht always took your breath from your already shriveling lungs. You felt a sudden glow on your cheeks and turned away. You were blushing......odd. "I suppose you wish to find your friend?" he asked. "um...yess.yes my lord" you studdered. "Well, come." he stood and you followed him back up the many flights and to the openess of the subway. no one even noticed sesshomaru. how could they not see him? the question was quickly shoved to the back of your head when you stepped into the sunlight. It was more like having your face shoved into a fiery circle of flourescent lights. The burn the sun cast off was horrible. "Sesshomaru...please. let us get out of here." you said. He noticed the way the sun burnt your skin. the sun here was so different from the one in the past. "Why does the sun not bother you in the past but bothers you here?"Sesshomaru asked. He never asked you questions that were of knowledge based type. so you thought about it for a minute, then replied," Because, Sesshomaru, the people of this world have begun to destroy the atmosphere and take out layers of ozone. Those are chemicals in which help protect us from the sun's extremely violent UV rays. back in the past, there were no factories of such to burn down the atmosphere. Here they are everywhere" you explained. He nodded as if he'd actually aquired some information from you. that was a surprise..
"I think we're going to the school" you said, to throw the topic back on task. "where would that be?" he asked. "umm..good question. if you can take me to kagome's, i can get to the school from there" you told him. he nodded and began walking in basically whatever direction he wanted to. Yet, since it wasn't dark, the sun just kept glaring and burning and finally you got light headed and ached in pain. without even realizing it someone or something lifted your body away from the ground at such speeds you honestly had no idea what was happening. It was so sudden, and then before you knew it, you'd been dropped to the ground, graciously, and saw right in front of you, kagome's family shrine. looking around, you found sesshomaru standing right beside you, with a smug look on his face. you almost laughed but carried on and began walking down the road to the school house.
Thats it. HAHAHAHAHA. cya next time. i know this is going slow but i'm working on it
