Slam
The front door slammed shut behind me as I stepped into the front entrance of Ryuzaki's hotel room.
"You're wet." A voice comments.
"Yeah, that tends to happen when I go out into the rain." I replied sarcastically. Ryuzaki sighed. I lifted my head and looked at him through long strands of dripping hair. He stood at the arch doorway, a pile of lush white towels at his feet.
"Come here." He said motioning to the floor beside him. I didn't really feel like arguing so I silently complied, sulking over and dropping onto the floor. He crouched down. I eyed him suspiciously as he pulled off my sopping runners and peeled off my socks.
Then he did something unexpected. He picked up the towel and began to meticulously dry my feet.
I blinked in surprise and instinctively gently tugged my foot back. He didn't look up but his grip was stronger than I'd anticipated. I sighed defeated and allowed him to pull off my other shoe and sock while I grabbed another towel and started to dry my hair.
"You'll get sick if you go out in the rain like that." He said. I snorted.
"So I've been told." I replied.
"Yagami Raito?" He asked softly and I froze.
"Yeah." He glanced up but didn't say anything.

I sighed wearily as I flopped down onto Ryuzaki's bed, to lazy to go to my own room. It was strange that the room should smell of him when he never seemed to sleep.
Eating all that candy to stay awake. Pssh. That's so bad for you..
I nuzzled my face into the thick blankets and curled up.
"Ella..?" Akino's voice questioned. I groaned, I'd been so close to sleep.
"Whhaat?" I growled.
"A new headquarters has been set up..we're going there now." I whined.
"I don't wanna." I argued, snuggling deeper into the folds of fabric.
"C'mon Ella.." Akino encouraged.
"I'm not getting up."
"You can sleep in the car." Akino suggested.
"To uncomfortable."
"ELLA!" Akino barked. My eyes snapped open and I jumped up, surprised by the sudden noise. Unfortunately I hadn't judged my proximity to the edge of the bed very well and tumbled off. I could hear Akino stiffling his giggles. I sat up in a huff, glaring at him from the otherside of the bed.
"Akino.." I started, my tone dangerous. He froze.
L's P.O.V.
"I DIDN'T MEAN TO!!!" Akino yelled pleadingly as he ran out of the bedroom. I looked over questioningly in time to see Akino just barely dodge a shoe that was launched at him. Instead, it hit Matsuda.
"Ow!" He whined.
"Sorry Matsu! AKINO GET BACK HERE!" Ella screamed running out of the room and rushing after Akino. I remained on the couch as I watched her pounce on Akino, both of them crashing to the ground. Matsuda ran over and hauled her off of the whimpering Akino. Ella frowned but didn't struggle as Matsuda dragged her over and sat her down beside me on the couch. I watched her cautiously. When I was sure she had calmed down I looked away I heard her yawn.
"I'm using you as a pillow." She said before I felt her lean against me. I looked down in surprise. Her eyes were already closed and I could feel her body relaxing. I said nothing.
Such a strange personality.
Then she said something..but I wasn't to sure what it was...

L's P.O.V.
Akino settled Ella into the back seat of the car. She frowned in her sleep. In attempt to make her more comfortable I gently gripped her shoulders and pulled her closer to me, resting her head on my lap.
My eyes traveled to the window. I found my hands moving subconsciously and I felt her silky hair through my fingers. I blinked in surprise and looked towards Ella. She looked tired. There were dark circles under her eyes that I hadn't noticed before and her lips were pulled into a tight line. She looked tired. Yes, very tired.
I've been putting to much stress on her.
My hands hadn't stopped stroking her hair and I was relieved to see her face relax and more peaceful look decorate her features. The back of my forefinger trailed down her pale cheek. I froze.
Why do I keep doing these things?
These random involuntary acts of gentleness were continulessly startling me.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when her fingers curled, gathering up folds of my clothes. I felt goosebumps form over my skin where I could feel the tips of her fingers through my jeans. She let go and turned over so her face was pressed close to my stomach. Everytime I took a breath, I could feel her lips against my stomach.
"Ryuzaki..." Matsuda said. I looked up sharply. There was a sly smile causing the corner of his lips to twitch.
"Yes, Matsuda?" I asked calmly.
"Your cheeks are red." He said quietly, ensuring no one else heard.
"I see." I said softly, purposely diverting my eyes to the window. I realized now that'd I'd stopped brushing Ella's hair. She mumbled something underneath her breath. My eyes flickered to her face. I froze. She was biting her lower lip.
"Mommy," she whispered, "I'm sorry." she finished as a tear slid down her cheek. I wiped it away.
"What did you do?" I questioned softly. After all, it was possible to have a conversation with someone in their sleep.
"I let him get you." She whispered, her voice hoarse. I shifted my arms, craddling her head on my elbow and running my fingers through her hair. Slowly she began to relax again, nuzzling her face into my stomach. I reached up and bit on the edge of my thumbnail.
Ella's P.O.V.
My body was gently lifted as whatever I was in went over a bump. I frowned.
I'm in a car I gather..although I don't know what I'm on..
I opened my eyes to slits and found myself staring at the top of someone's thighs, their legs folded so their knees were directed at the metal roof.
I blinked in surprise and pulled my hand from underneath my cheek where it'd been acting as a pillow. I rolled over so I was looking at Ryuzaki's stomach and craned my neck back to look at his face.
He was looking forward until he sensed my eyes on him. He blinked and looked down.
"Are you going back to sleep?" He asked softly. I shook my head and he nodded in understanding.
I sat up groggily, blinking a couple of times.
"We're almost there." Ryuzaki commented. I snuck a look at him out of the corner of my eye. I scratched the back of my head and glanced around.
I leaned towards the window and looked out. A huge skyscraper loomed in front of the car.
"Is that it?" I asked excitedly.
"Yes." Ryuzaki said, also leaning over to confirm the building.
"Awesome!" I breathed.
