Chapter 1 : {Original} Wonderful Love {One-shot}
Mira Ai (Wonderful Love)
I watched her grow up to be a wonderful young woman. I watched as she took her first steps. I was there when she said her first word, when she played her first piece of music on the piano, and when she had her first day of Kindergarden. I remember putting her strawberry blonde hair into pigtails while my best friend and husband stood behind me, arguing over names for my next baby, who was due in a few weeks. "Okay Mira, go get your bag," I said. She ran off and came back, her blue eyes shining. "Mommy, I'm ready to go to school!" I stood up and turned to face the two people behind me. "Vic, you're driving, right?" She nodded and went to grab her keys in the other room, I followed silently. Victoria started digging through her purse, trying to find her keys. "I can't believe Mira's starting school." I turned to look at my husband, "I know, it seems like yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital." He nodded and walked over to me, giving me a kiss on my cheek, "I'll see you when you get home." Victoria finally found her keys, "Awww, you two are so cute!" She cooed, holding up her keys. "Mira Ai, are you ready?" My daughter entered the kichten, "Yes Ma'm." I remember watching her go into that classroom that day. I remember that feeling of emptyness, watching her little pigtails bound around the corner. I remember arriving home and crying while my best friend said words of comfort and my husband held me. Those feelings crept back up, and tears stung my eyes again as I watched my little girl pack her boxes. Mira was eighteen now, one of four children. My youngest boy sat on her bed. "Mira, do you have to go?" Brian asked. Mira stopped what she was doing and started talking to her brother, "It'll be okay, Bri. I'll come back, promise." I bit my lip and went back downstairs. "Mommy, are you okay?" Amorette asked. "I'm fine Claire, go say goodbye to your sister." Victoria Amorette-Claire went upstairs to say goodbye to her older sister. "My first baby is leaving..." I went into the dining room to see my best friend and husband talking. "You alright?" Vickee asked. I nodded, "I'll be alright."
I know she's strong.
She's got my brain, she'll be alright.
She'll suceed and do great.
One day she'll find love, get married, and go through the same things she put me through.
But I'll always miss those kindergraden days.
