whys willy acting so weird part twelve
Chapter 17 : whys willy acting so weird part twenty eight.
Your POV----------------------
You woke to a sharp poke in your side. You groaned and rubbed the sore spot as you sat up and looked at Mr Wonka.
"Did you get enough sleep?"
"I fell asleep! Oh Mr Wonka! I'm so sorry!"
He just smiled and laughed a little.
"Its fine Regina. You were up working all night I understand. But really you should be getting up now its nearly time for lunch."
You nodded as you rubbed your eyes and took hold of Mr Wonka's cane as he held it out to you. He led you to the elevator and you bit your lip.
"You look starved Regina! What do you want for lunch?"
He said as he pushed the button to go to the kitchens.
"Prolly just a sand-WHICH!"
You were thrown to the floor as the elevator shot up makeing Mr Wonka laugh. You giggled nervously and tried to get up hopeing that at least this time you didnt cause Mr Wonka to fall on top of you again. But as you made it to your shakey feet the elevator took a sharp turn sending you hard against the wall. It knocked the wind from you and you slid back down to the floor coughing.
Mr Wonka looked at you concerned and pressed a button to make the elevator stop. He kneeled down beside you and looked you over.
"Regina are you alright?"
You tried to talk but being unable to breathe was painful. You winced and shook your head as you tried to take a shallow breath and only burst into a fit of caughing which made your stomach and chest hurt.
Mr Wonka looked at you with wide eyes not knowing what to do.
"Eh...Do you need mouth to mouth?"
You shook your head no and he sighed in releife. After a little more coughing you were finnally able to take a breath. At the same time Mr Wonka took a deep breath and slumped against the wall of the elevator. He looked at you a second with those purple eyes of his.
"Are you okay now?"
You nodded before testing your voice. It was weak and horse and you could bareley whisper. But thanks to the echo in the elevator Mr Wonka was able to hear you.
"Yes...but it...hurts."
"Where?"
"...Chest..And my...back."
"Do you need a docter?"
You shook your head and chanced a deeper breath.
"I'll be okay...Just need a minute...or two.."
He nodded but still looked worried. He stood up and pressed a button to activate a speaker in the elevator.
"Could someone send up a couple of sandwhiches to the elevator for me and Regina? Thanks."
He turned it off and sat back down. You looked at him curiously.
"Why are you...haveing it sent up?"
"Well the elevator is stuck now. I don't use that button very often cuz it shuts down the elevator for a couple of hours."
"Oh."
The lunch came up in an air shute used for mail. Mr Wonka had to pry open the elevator doors to get it and then jump back in before they could shut on him. He smiled as he sat on the floor with you and unwrapped the food.
"Hear ya go!"
"Thanks Mr Wonka."
You smiled when you saw that your sandwich wasnt pb and j but turkey and tomatoe on wheat bread. Mr Wonka on the other hand didnt look too happy about it. He rummaged through the bag and pulled out two small bottles of v8 juice. You smiled and happilly took yours. Mr Wonka just looked at you oddly.
"You really like that stuff?"
You nodded as you took a big bite out of your sandwich.
"Try it. It's not as bad as you think it is."
He grimaced but ate the sandwhich anyway. Though you could clearly tell that he didnt like it. The poor man was probably just starved to death. No doubt he had continued working after you had fallen asleep on him. How stupid could you be? Mr Wonka needed your help and you went and passed out on him. How pathetic. You sighed feeling as if you were a slack excuse for an heir.
Willys POV-----------------------
He watched Regina as she picked at her sandwhich not looking at him. Her sudden change in attitude worried him a bit. True she was usually silent and nervous around him but she seemed to be bothered by something. Willy didnt really care if she was upset about something. Why should he? It wasnt effecting him was it? He raised an eyebrow at the girl as he looked her over.
The only reasons that he could come up with was that she was either upset about something or she was more injured than she let on. Willy cleared his throat and Regina's eyes shot up to him. She seemed alarmed and a bit jumpy. This Willy found confuseing.
"Whats the matter Regina? Are you still hurting?"
She shook her head no and went back to her sandwhich. Willy sighged as his stomach growled and he took another bite of his. It wasnt all that bad but he just wished that he had something a little more appatizeing. He watched Regina through the corner of his eye and tried his best not to let her mopeing get to him. But it was simply impossiple.
He hated to see her pretty face look completley wrong. It was really bumming him out. Not to mention annoing. Willy groaned and threw his sandwhich and looked at a startled Regina.
"Alright! Enough with the pouting Regina! I mean really, do you want to make your face look all wrong like that?"
He didnt notice what he had said it all just kind of came out.
Your POV-------------------------------
Look all wrong? You thought to yourself. You just shook it off and looked at Mr Wonka apologetically.
"I'm sorry Sir. I never meant to bother you."
"Well I know that. Why would you do something like that on purpose?"
You blushed a little and nodded putting a peice of your sandwhich in your mouth and nibbleing. You could feel Mr Wonka's eyes on you all the while.
"So?"
You looked up a bit startled to have the silence broken by such a random word.
"Sir?"
Mr Wonka sighed and rolled his eyes as he picked up the sandwhich again.
"Aren't you going to tell me what has you in this weird mood?"
You blushed and looked over into the corner as you fingered the hem of your shirt nervously.
"I just feel that...I'm not as good of an heir that you deserve Mr Wonka."
"Pft! Youre kidding right?"
You looked over to Mr Wonka who looked very amused. You blushed a little feeling stupid.
"Regina as much work that has gone into you and as much schooling and training that you have had you honestly believe youre not a good heir? Why look at the three course meal gum! And the nerd gobbstoppers! And the hair toffees! You fixed all of them! In one night! And by yourself! And besides, if you were not a good heir do you honestly beleive that I would keep you in the factory?"
You laughed with a nervous sigh of releife and smiled weakly.
"Im sorry Sir that was silly of me. I guess Im just not used to being around people."
Mr Wonka looked at you and nodded. With that you returned to your sandwhich and finished your lunch. Mr Wonka finished when you did and brushed the crumbs from his hands and sighed as he made himself more comfortable in the corner of the elevator.
"How much longer until the elevator starts again?"
"Oh about two hours give or take."
You nodded and followed suit to Mr Wonka and settled yourself in a corner of the elevator, trying your best not to come too close to Mr Wonka in the cramped space. You closed your eyes after a minute and tried to think of the day ahead of you.
Willy's POV-----------------------------
Willy closed his eyes and listened to Regina's steady breathing. In the silence of the elevator he could just make out the ssoft exhales that escaped her. His mind wandered to her body for a moment and a slight smirk pulled at his lips. He quickly sweapt those thoughts away as he felt the tightening again.
His thoughts landed upon that Cry Baby boy and he scowled. What was it that Regina liked about him? He thought of when they had talked in the entrance of the factory. The boy really did look odd to Willy. Tan. Black, slicked back hair, he seemed to be in good shape. Not that that was anything that Willy had to compeat with. Sure he might look to be just some slim guy but he had a bit of muscle to him. He wasnt ripped hed be the first to admit that and he had to desire to be. But he had to grant himself the fact that he was well toned.
Feeling a bit better about that he moved on. Tan...He definateley was not tan. Unless you called ghost white a healthy sunkissed colour. He waved that off however. He wasnt compelled in the least to go tanning. On to the next thing. Hair. Cry Baby's was about ear length and jet black. He wore it gelled and combed back with his bangs in his face. Willy grimaced.
He sighed however. He knew that his haircut was...strange. And to tell the truth he wasnt all too fond of the style anymore after haveing worn it for who knows how many years. But he just couldnt imagine himself any different. Maybe he could try it though..."Wait a sec...What am I doing!? Am I really thinking about cutting my hair just because Regina likes this boy?.....And why on earth am I compareing myself to him?"
Willy opened his eyes and looked over at Regina. The tightening feeling came back as he scanned her over. "Oh...thats why." He thought to himself as a slight smile curled the corner of his mouth.
