'6:30 P.M.' the numbers on my digital clock on my car's GPS system read. There was still another fifteen minute drive to get to the club. Why I agreed to go get a drink with Frank and Lacey was beyond me. I swore to never drink after my dad died. I guess it's because I hadn't seen them in so long. It had been what? Six month since I came back from a seven month tour? This meant that it had beena little over a year since I had seen them both. Damnthat's quite a while. Since when did time pass so fast? It feels as if just yesterday was Frank's 24th birthday.
I smiled as I remembered that night, all the fun and games. But my smile soon faltered as I thought about how Frank got that call from Lacey. I had heard her sobbing over the phone, and Frank didn't seem to care. I guess that's what alcohol does to you. That I learned from my father, always getting drunk. You begin to find out more about a person when they're at their worst. Or maybe it's just me
I felt my phone vibrate in the pocket of my jeans, telling me that someone was calling. "Hello? I asked after I had struggled to get the black and silver Sidekick out of my tight jeans. Yeah, it was a tough battle alright. Note to self: Don't put cell phone in pocket when wearing tight jeans.
"Hi Ry, Jac's voice flowed through on the other line.
"Hey Jac, I said with no emotion whatsoever. Do you honestly know how many times she calls in a day? I mean really, get a life and stop calling me. Is it really that hard?
I could just hear her smile turn into a frown, obviously not wanting the kind of greeting I had given her. "What's wrong baby?"
I rolled my eyes, "Jac, don't call me anymore. OK? Just leave me alone. I'm not a little kid, I'm allowed to do things on my own without being interrupted every ten minutes because you're calling me. I'm done with this, I'm done with us. Goodbye. I hung up the phone before hearing her response. I didn't care all that much for her, well, not anymore. At first, I was crazy about her, but thenshe became "Miss. Clingy and everything went downhill. The woman just needs to take a chill pill and move on.

When I finally reached my destination, I shut the engine off and moved inside the club, searching for at least one of the friends I was there to meet. I scanned up and around the room, moving away from the drunks who looked like they had had one too many drinks tonight. My eye caught Frank, and I came up behind him, greeting with a "Hey.
He turned around, almost like I had startled him. I could see a grin creep up onto his lips. "Hey man, it's good to see you!"
Nodding, I asked "Same to you. Where's Lacey? The same sort of smile made it's way on my face, it was nice it see Frank again after so long.
"Oh, she should be right hereLacey? He called out to her, obviously not seeing her where she was last.
I could barely make her out in the flashing lights as she waltzed over to Frank, chatting with another guy who seemed around my age, but younger than her and Frank. "Yeah, Frank?"
"Where did you go?"
I saw Alex and I wanted to say 'hi' before we met up with RyanBut it seems that we have already. Oh well, she smiled. "Hey Ryan."
I waved to her and this Alex kid.

Nothing seems as pretty as the past, though

Enjoy?
Yes?
I know it took long. Don't blame me or Ryan.
We have other lives that don't involve the computer.
Ahh, so the big question is ... WHO IS NEXT?
Someone who rhymes with sex.
Called.... ALEX.
OH, and what do you guys think about me creating a HSH account for mibba?
