Brendon Urie [Seasons Change [01] But People Don't] William Beckett

For Shanna! I made it, so it's sucky =]

William has a tough life. A tough job. And a tough boyfriend. Well, one of those effects the other two. The tough boyfriend caused the tough job, creating a tough life.
To lay it out there, William is a twenty five year old man living with his eighteen year old boyfriend.
He loves him to death, and he wouldn't change his situation for the world. But he feels like Brendon is only acting younger and younger. He wants to be a lover, not a babysitter.
William arrives home from his 9-5 work day, tripping over a video game controller on his way in.
The taller man throws his keys on the counter and sighs.
"Brendon, how many fucking times do I tell you to put away your fucking xbox controllers!"
Jesus Christ, William thinks. He's like a child. And he hates saying it because he wants that to change. he wants Brendon to grow up.
He rubs at his temples awaiting his lover to come down the stairs.
Brendon of course has his ipod headphones in his ears, and William can hear the music himself.
He tugs the small buds out and rests his hands on the teens shoulders.
"Did you go to school today?" he asks with seriousness.
Brendon nods. "Did you seriously go, or did you leave the house at 7 take the other bus and go to the mall?"
"I went to school, don't you believe me?"
William nods and kisses Brendon's forehead.
"I believe you. Now, please go pick up the living room. You know I work hard to put this roof over your head and I feel like you're ungrateful."
The teen nods and looks as if he's about to cry. He should be used to it by now though. It's normal for William to verbally abuse Brendon. Make him feel bad and ashamed of himself. There are times when Brendon deserves it, and sometimes there are times when he doesn't.
But the silver band on his finger reminds him all the time that no matter how badly it hurts when William talks to him like this; he'll always be loved by his finance.
As the younger boy walks into the living room, William sighs yet again, noticing the dog has no food or water.
"Brendon, please remember to feed the fucking dog!" he mutters to himself, knowing fully well Brendon put his music back in his ears.
They have a two year old dalmatian that is big enough to eat Brendon if it got hungry enough. William worries about that.
After he feeds the dog he start to think about their own meal.
"What does he want for dinner..." he thinks out loud. Always thinking about Brendon and not himself.
He pulls out vegetarian chicken patties and lets them thaw out for a moment. It's easy to settle on food because they both don't eat meat.
That's how they met each other. At Trader Joe's. They both reached for the same vegetarian chicken nuggets; William had chuckled and let Brendon take it. There was something about the way their eyes met. Something about Brendon's smile. Something about the two of them together. They just... clicked.
Brendon had only been fifteen.
William is scared shit-less out of his thoughts by Brendon sneaking up on him.
"Fuck! Don't fucking do that! I'm trying to fucking cook you dinner, Brendon. Go upstairs or something." When William flips out on his lover he usually tells him to go away. Nine times out of ten, he won't go.
"But I wanna help you."
"There's nothing to help with, it's this," he says, showing the student the patties. "Go take the dog out, I bet you didn't all day. He's gonna piss on the fucking floor one day with the way you take care of him."
Brendon nods and calls for the dog.
