Happy Valentine's Day [アンティック-珈琲店-の坊]

"Here it is!" I heard the happy singsong voice of my childish cousin ring throughout the house, that cheeky grin seemingly contagious as I returned it with my own big smile. He shuffled across the room quickly, clutching the DVD case tightly in his hands as he finally made a stop in front of the T.V He snapped open the case, popping in the DVD after much difficulty with trying to get the player to actually open.
"Aiharu-kun, it's the button there that says eject," I informed him calmly, yet what he didn't know was that I had to shoved my face into a pillow to keep from giggling at his silliness. Yet I was glad that even though he was well an adult now, he had never let his kidish demeanor slip from his grasp. In my eyes, he was always the little hyper Aiharu from when we were little kids.
"I knew that!" he said brightly, humming a happy tune, most likely one of the songs he had composed with his band, and opened the DVD player. Funny thing was, his eyes lit up when the compartment for the DVD disc slid out of the player, and he looked at it for a while as if it were a new life form.
"Miku-kun?" a voice from next to me squeaked, "Daijoubu ka?"
"MY KAGEROU DVD!" he cried, flailing his arms around wildly in surprise and delight. He carefully removed the disc from the player and held it up in triumph. "I found it! After all this time..."
"Well geez, when was the last time you had used it?" I inquired, still pushing my face closer into the pillow. There was a young boyish laugh from my left side, and I shifted my eyes over to glance at him, giggling along with him.
"Ano... I haven't had people over to watch movies in a really long time," he admitted, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. In haste, he jumped up and went over to the DVD rack, which held a large selection of various movies and live shows on DVD, the biggest section being Antic Cafe's and Kagerou. He pulled a Kagerou DVD case from the rack and opened it, placing the disc back in its case, and then setting it back in its proper place.
"Nee Miku-kun, can we watch the movie now?" the boyish voice whined.
"No, not yet, Takuya-kun!" Miku wagged a finger at him; a bright grin spread itself across his face. "We still need to wait for our other guests!"
I could only imagine who the other guests were: Kanon, Yuuki, and Teruki. I hadn't seen all of Antikku Cafe in so long, especially since I went away to study abroad for a year. Now I was back, and just in time for Valentine's Day.
I wasn't entirely familiar with the two new members of the band: Takuya and Yuuki. Though I had seen their pictures and read their online profiles before, along with watching some videos. I thought they were good enough boys, so I had quickly gotten along with Takuya, who was now seated on the couch with me to my left. He was only two years younger than I was, since he had just turned 20 a few days before. I was yet to turn 22 later this May; two years younger than my cousin.
I had found that Takuya was a very cute and shy boy, but within the last two hours, he was always going back to the fridge to steal the strawberries and eat them right there. It was funny though, and I could also tell he deeply respected all of the members of Antikku Cafe.
I did like Takuya and thought he did a great job of picking up with the guitar where they left off, but I had still missed Bou a lot.
Bou and I used to be together, but we had broken up when Antikku Cafe announced that he was leaving the band back in April of 2006. It wasn't that we didn't like each other anymore, but we would be so far apart for such a long time, since he had other business to take care of. It was now February 14 of 2007, Valentine's Day evening. I had Valentine chocolates for Kanon, Yuuki, and Teruki as well, waiting for them to show up.
DING-DONG!
"I want to go get it!" Takuya called, jumping up from the couch and scrambling to the door. When he opened it, there stood Kanon, Yuuki, and Teruki, all with small pink bags in their hands. "Happy Valentine's Day!"
They stepped into the house, handing out little bags for Valentine's Day full of chocolates. Miku waved to them from the living room floor. "Hey you guys! Do I get one?"
Teruki tossed one to him, and he tackled it, hugging it close to him. "Nyappy~! Yes I get candy~!"
Kanon gasped along with Teruki as they covered their mouths in a playful manner. "No way! It's Kohi-chan!" Kanon said, hugging me.
"Kohi...? The drink kouhi?" Yuuki said, puzzled. He was referring to the drink 'coffee,' but I had just received that nick name when I first met the band, because they felt calling me Haku was too much like a boy, and Koha sounded strange.
I giggled and bowed to Yuuki. "Hajimemashite, I'm Kohaku. I'm Miku's younger cousin," I introduced myself.
"Oh! Hai, hajimemashite," he said, bowing in return. "I'm Yuuki."
We went over to sit on the couch, and I said to Miku, "Can we watch the movie now?"
"Nope, not yet," he grinned at me, "We still have one more guest left to come."
I looked at him funny, totally confused as to what he was talking about. "Huh? What do you mean? Everyone is here."
All of them exchanged glances, smiling at each other. When the doorbell rang again, Miku said, "Go answer it."
Unsure, I stood from the couch, and looked back at them, just to see Teruki and Kanon give each other a high-five.
I advanced towards the door, turned the knob carefully, and opened it.
Soft lips covered my own, and I closed my eyes, the tears leaking out and sliding down my cheeks. The person pulled me closer and wrapped his arms around me, making me feel safe. We kissed like that for a while, remembering. I had missed this feeling so much, but I never realized how much until I was wrapped up into the kiss.
When we pulled away, he lifted a hand to gently wipe away my tears. "Happy Valentine's Day," he said, smiling at me and pulling me into a loving embrace. "I love you, Kohaku-chan," he whispered delicately into my ear.
I cried onto his shoulder and I hugged him back. "I love you too, Bou-kun."
