I can't understand how they can do this for a living. They travel and everyone complains, they don't eat right, and the play the same songs each night. Having the same things screamed at them by girls, and even sometimes guys.
"I'm extremely excited to go home." Ashlee said to me as we both decided to stay back on the buses as they all did soundcheck.
"I can't wait either." I wouldn't call Ashlee my best friend but she's a friend. She's nicer than I figured, but she's not someone I want to tell all my secrets to.
"Is it just me, or does this soundcheck seem longer than usual?" she asked standing up and going to her bunk, we were on Fall Out Boy's bus.
"No, it seems long. Maybe it's because it's their last one for the tour."
"Yeah." I heard her mutter as she looked through her bunk. She pulled out a few magazines. She tossed one toward me right as the door opened.
Everyone from Fall Out Boy came on the bus laughing.
"Hey, Mer." Joe nodded his head in my direction as he took the magazine out of my hand and flopped down next to me.
"No please, take my magazine, and sit next to me while you're all sweaty." Ashlee laughed and stood up to kiss Peter. I still found them to be an odd couple, but I didn't think it was my place to say anything. If they were happy, I was happy for them.
"Well, I must be off." I stated as I stood up and started to leave.
"Ciao, bella." Andy said from his computer. I laughed as he called me beautiful and walked off the bus.
I made sure that I remembered where I was going, because it's always sad when you walk onto the wrong bus. When I knew for sure I was at the right bus, I stared slightly upset, because I had forgotten the code, again, to get back on the bus. And every time I typed in the wrong code, a loud series of beeps went off and everyone would look.
"Need some help?" I heard behind me after the sixth try.
"Yes, please." I said smiling at Brendon as he stepped in front of me.
He smiled at me as he moved to block numbers he was pressing, so I couldn't see it. I lightly shoved him as he opened the door and ushered me in.
"You know you're fun to watch."
"You watched me?" I asked frustrated that he was watching, instead of helping me.
" Yes, but only for two tries."
"You're a meanie." I stated laying across the buses couch.
"You're a girl." He said as he sat on the empty part of the couch. He tried to lay down on top of me be he kept falling off. And each time I would laugh.
"You're so mean to me." He accused me as he got up and sat on the couch across from me.
"No." I said as I closed my eyes.
"Mercedes, are you coming to the show tonight?"
"Umm, I always go to see you play." I said with my eyes still closed.
"Well, I was making sure, you know it's the last show and then we fly back to Nevada." I was silent as I thought of what would happen after this. Being on this tour with Brendon had really helped our situation. But it wasn't to realistic. There was no one following us, no long distance, and I saw him every minute of the day.
"Mercedes?"
"Yes, Brendon?" I'm sure we both had the same question in our heads.
"Are you going to stay in Nevada?" It was a question that I've been wondering for a few days. Would I stay in the apartment in Nevada and just fly to LA whenever I was needed? Or would I stay in LA and go to Nevada whenever I was needed by Brendon?
I know it was out of the question, to ask him to move to LA. It wasn't for him, and it seemed like he was never going to move out of that state.
I guess I already knew the answer, I just didn't know if it was right. But I was nineteen, and I'm not suppose to be making this decisions. But I have to and I figured I had nothing to lose except maybe my job, or my boyfriend.
"I wanna stay in Nevada with you." I said still laying on the couch.
"Oh gosh, Mercedes. You really know how to make me happy." I felt Brendon kiss the back of my head, and I opened my eyes to look at him.
"Did you think I'd pick LA?"
"Yes." He said plainly as he kneeled in front of me and ran his fingers through my hair.
"Gee, thanks. You know I want this to keep going too." I said nudging him lightly.

"Home sweet home." I said dropping my bags on the ground and collasping next to them I curled up into a ball as I layed on our hard wood floor.
"Mercedes, I have to bring in my bags too, and you and your bags are in the way." I scooted slightly and watched him step over me.
"You know if you would be wearing a dress, I would be able to totally see your goods." I said laughing as he shook his head.
"I don't have to wear a dress to show you my goods." He said smiling and grabbing my arms and sliding me across the wood floor till we made it to the carpet.
"I'll give you five seconds to get up and walk to our room, or I will give you a rug burn," he paused and smiled more. "Again."
"Okay, okay. I just don't see what's your rush to get to the bedroom." I smiled as I turned to look at him and start to walk slower.
"God damnit, Mercedes." He wrapped his arms around me and lifted me up and started carrying me to the bedroom.
"Brendon!" I shouted as I tried hard to not laugh. "What's the rush! The bed will always be here for napping. I kind of really want to play scrabble now!" I laughed when he jabbed his finger in my side and I twisted in his arms.
"We can play scrabble after this." He said pulling off his shirt.
"After sex scrabble. I think we could start a trend." I stated kicking off my shoes.
