Everyone gathered around Kyle as they patiently waited for the ambulance to come.
"Kyle. What the hell happened?" Jared asked.
It took a while for Kyle to answer, for the pain was still too unbearable, and he could not keep his breathing steady. But finally he was able to speak. "Sk-sk-" Kyle stuttered, breathing in deeply every two seconds.
"Jared. You can ask questions later. He needs to rest right now."
Meanwhile, Jenna stood there, staring. She felt so helpless and so scared at the same time. She looked into his blue eyes and saw nothing but pain and desperation. She felt as if she was going to break down any minute because she was so overwhelmed with the whole situation.
Finally the ambulance came and they carried him on a stretcher and into the ambulance. Mr. Johnson was the only one who went inside with him. And left his wife, son, Jenna and Dave to worry and wonder about it for the rest of the night.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was lunch time and Jenna's first day at Jefferson High School. Jenna poked at her food that the lunch ladies claimed to be lasagna. But Jenna thought otherwise. She was on the verge of dying from hunger, but she was in no mood for eating whatever was living inside that 'lasagna'. She sat all alone and it was so surreal.
This shouldn't be happening to me! People should be lining up to just eat with me! I should be the one making fun of the loners, not become one! Jenna thought to herself.
Everytime someone passed by Jenna, her heart would drop to the pit of her stomach, thinking that they would be laughing at her. Lonliness and paranoia got the best of her, and she was desperate to get out of the cafteria. Just when she was about to run into the bathroom and cry in one of the stalls, two girls from her English class came to her table. Jenna already knew their names by heart, since their English teacher would constantly call out their names everytime they would talk. Which Jenna noticed was every 20 seconds.
"Do you mind if we sit here? The other tables are pretty full." Gina asked.
Jenna nodded in reply. She felt a little bit better that they were here, since it didn't look as if she was a total loner. So she stayed seated and continued to poke at her 'lasagna' while examining the two girls.
Jenna noticed that Gina had the most beautiful silky black hair that she'd ever lay her eyes on, that stopped just below her shoulders. And she had striking brown eyes that looked like shiny marbles. She also had the most evident cheek bones that every girl would kill for.
Courtney, Gina's best friend, looked nothing like Gina. She was petite and had well defined red curls that never failed to bounce everytime she laughed. Her dark green eyes reminded Jenna of a three leafed clover.
"So, did you hear what happened to Ashley yesterday?" Courtney asked Gina.
"Oh my gosh, yeah. I heard that she got ran over a car or something. She can't go to school for like a month." Gina simply replied, as she stuffed tater tots in her mouth. Jenna drooled at the sight of the tator tots.
"Lucky bitch." Courtney muttered.
"Anyways, I just heard from Kimberly that there's like this one girl, who just moved in, and is actually living with Jared!" Gina informed Courtney.
Courtney gasped in reply, with eyes so huge, it scared Jenna. "She is the luckiest girl in the world! Well, unless she's related to him. Cause she won't really be able to do much if you know what I mean?" Both the girls laughed and continued to rant on about how 'hot' Jared was. Jenna couldn't take it anymore. They were so loud and so talkative. They were driving her nuts!
"First of all, Jared is so not hot! And second, it is so not lucky to be living with him. He listens to creepy weirdo music all day long and he spends a lot of time either on the computer or on the phone with this one girl named Jade or something." Jenna stopped talking once she realized the both of them were glaring at her with those creepy big ol' eyes of theirs again.
"What?" Jenna asked, half irritated, half confused.
"Are you that one girl living with him?" They said in unison.
"Ummmm...yes." Jenna answered, wishfully thinking that the bell would ring.
Once again, they both gasped in unison. Followed by their embarassingly loud shrieks. Jenna could see in the corner of her eyes, people turning their heads towards their table.
"Don't you know how many girls would kill to be on your position right now?!" Courtney screamed, even though Jenna was just inches away from her.
"He is one of the hottest guys in this school!" Gina informed Jenna.
Jenna stared at them in disbelief.
"I'm sorry. But you guys are just too weird." Jenna said.
"You don't believe us, don't you?" Gina asked.
"Nope." Jenna replied matter-of-factly.
They both sighed at the same time - once again.
"Hey, what do you think of Jared?" Courtney asked a random girl behind their table.
"He is like soooo HOTT! But then again, who doesn't think that?" the random girl replied.
"Is that proof enough for you?" Gina asked Jenna.
"No. Not really." Jenna replied.
"Wait, how do we even know for sure that you're the one who lives with him?" Courtney pointed out.
"Yeah. Why don't you prove it to us." Gina challenged Jenna.
"You guys are pathetic. Why would I lie?"
Jenna saw that Gina and Courtney were still skeptical.
"Fine. Afterschool, we go to my place, and you'll see that I am in fact living with him." The girls looked at each other and had big freaky smiles that were a spitting image of a clown's smile.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Well, here we are." Jenna announced as all three of them stepped into the room.
Gina and Courtney shrieked so loud, that they managed to scare away all the birds outside Jenna's window. And the windows were closed shut! Now that was amazing.
Before Jenna knew it, the two girls were running and jumping around. Pulling out cabinet drawers, hugging the stuffing out of his pillows and all these other crazy stuff.
Jenna found herself laughing for the first time since she moved in. She just couldn't deny it. The girls were pretty amusing.
"Oh my gosh! It's Jared's skateboard!!!" Both of them cried out and began to jump up and down like two little kids as they held the skateboard in their hands.
"Jenna! Open up!" all three girls shot their heads in the direction of the door and completely froze. Jenna was so grateful that she had locked the door earlier.
"Jenna I know you're in there! Open up!"
"Wait up! I'm dressing!" After Jenna hid Courtney under her bed and Gina in Jared's bed, she calmly unlocked the door and opened it.
"Where's my skateboard? Have you seen it?" Jared asked.
"Crap." Courtney whispered loudly from under Jenna's bed, and stupidly rolled the skateboard slowly out into the open for Jared to pick up. Jared walked towards the bed and picked up his skateboard, his eyes glued to
Jenna's, and a little smirk plastered on his face.
"Don't worry, I won't tell your dad about you bringing a guy over the room." He whispered as he neared Jenna and finally left the room.
HA! What an idiot! Jenna thought.
Once the door was completely closed, Jenna let out the biggest sigh of relief. Courtney and Gina jumped out from under the bed and started giggling.
"Oh my gosh. That was sooo close!" Gina clearly pointing out the obvious.
"Only because of what Courtney did." Jenna was actually more amused than angry.
"I didn't want him going without his skateboard. He looks extra cute with it!" Courtney replied, and all three of laughed.

acted the way she was because right after she mom died, she wanted to be loved again. and when she was accepted in the popular crowd, she loved the attention and how everyone loved her just because she was popular. the love and attention she got from the kids took the place of the love and attention she got from her mom.

"How was your first day at school, Jenna?" Dave asked as his daughter entered the living room.
Jenna didn't care to look at her dad, let alone answer him. She just went straight to her room and shut the door. Dave let out an exasperated sigh before going after Jenna. He opened the door to her room, and sat on the corner of her bed.
"What's wrong, Jenna?" He asked. He could hear Jenna weeping, muffled by the pillow she pressed against her face."
"It was horrible, Daddy!" Jenna replied, removing the pillow. "For the first time in my life, I was actually a loner! I don't understand why nobody seemed to want to be with me. Everyone knows I'm drop dead gorgeous, and I was actually being nice!" Tears streamed down her cheeks and stopped talking for a while to wipe her tears away. Once she was all set, she continued with her story. "There was this one girl with this hideous hair extension and the thickest unibrow I've ever seen, and I was nice enough to give her some few pointers on how to look nice. But in return, she just cussed at me and talked bad about me to all her friends. She should've been glad I even talked to such a loser like her."
"What exactly did you say to her?" Dave asked.
"I told her that she should definately do something about her awful hair. It was starting to look like a bird's nest! And I told her she looked liked a caveman and that she should really wax her unibrow. And that losing a few pounds wouldn't hurt either. She should be thankful that I actually helped her! At least with my help, guys wouldn't puke at the sight of her."
Dave couldn't believe the words that were coming out of Jenna's mouth. Before walking out, he gave some last encouraging words and went to go find Jared.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I'm sorry Mr. Michaels, but I don't think I can handle Jenna being my roommate and hang out with her at school too. If you haven't noticed, your daughter is a pain in the butt." Jared said.
"I know she's a little annoying sometimes, but that's just the way she is. And you two were very close when you were younger, so I'm sure you'll be able to find ways to get along again. And I just can't handle seeing my daughter cry over not having any friends. Listen, if you do just this one little favor, I will let you use my Mercedes Benz anytime you want. But you will pay for any damages." Dave's Mercedes Benz was his prized possesion and would die if anything bad happened to it, but he would do anything to see his little girl happy. Even if it meant lending his car to a teenager.
When Jared heard Dave tell him he could drive the Benz, it was a done deal. Just thinking about him being behind the wheel of that luxorious car with his girlfriend on the passenger's seat, made him weak in the knees. Jared shook Dave's hand to seal the deal and ran to his room to think of ways to get Jenna to hang out with him.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
During lunchtime the next day, Jared was eating his tacos with his small group of friends, when he saw Jenna eating all by herself. Despite how annoying Jenna was, Jared still felt somewhat sorry for Jenna. So he decided to convince his friends to sit at her table. Besides, he wanted to drive the Benz.
Meanwhile, Jenna poked at her food that the lunch ladies claimed to be lasagna. But Jenna thought otherwise. She was on the verge of dying from hunger, but she was in no mood for eating whatever was living inside that 'lasagna'. She was all alone and it was so surreal. Back in her old school, she and her friends would constantly tease and laugh at the loners during lunch time. Now she was the loner, and everytime people passed by her, she was paranoid that they would laugh and tease her. So when these group of people were walking towards her table, her heart felt like it dropped to the pit of her stomach, and expected the worst comments from them.
Time passed and still, no insults were thrown at her. Instead, she noticed that it was just Jared and his loser friends. She could tell he was looking for words to exchange with her, but everytime he tried to open his mouth, he would just close it right back up again. Jenna just rolled her eyes and tried to examine his friends.
As she looked around, she felt as if she was inside a black hole, for everyone wore black.
What is up with these people? Jenna thought.
She looked to her left and saw a guy with short dark brown spiky hair. It took her a while but soon realized it was Kyle. The same guy who showed up at their door with bloody legs. Only now he had crutches.
"Kyle!" Jenna cried out. "I'm so glad you're okay. You really scared me!" Right when the words came out of Jenna's mouth, she realized how stupid she sounded. It was as if she'd known him for years or something.
Oh crap. He must think I'm some kind of pathetic loser. Jenna thought.
Kyle turned around to look at Jenna, and Jenna looked straight into his deep blue eyes. It was so mesmerizing. Jenna felt like she could just stare at it for hours.
"A hot girl like you was worried about a guy like me? I should break my leg more often."
Jenna felt herself blush, and butterflies began to form in her stomach. She suddenly found herself relax more and smiled for the very first time since she arrived in their new home.
"So are you gonna tell me what happened, or are you just gonna keep me wondering?" Jenna asked.
"Just a stupid skateboard accident." He said, as he put his arm over her shoulders, and popped a tator tot in his mouth with the other.
Jenna was starting to think that her new life in her new school was going to be okay. Yesterday was just a rocky start, but she can definately bounce back from it. And she could not wait to spend more time with Kyle.
