*Ethan*
Ethan was walking along a sidewalk, thinking of what Erik and Frank were talking about.
"How could they hide a secret so important from me? That's cruel and mean. My dad is dead and nobody bothered to tell me? His own son." He said to himself.
He walked into a restaurant and sat in the far back.
He saw a waitress and he waved at her to come to him. She saw him and began walking to him.
"Yes? What do you need kind fellow?" Her voice made him even more mad. It sounded like she was annoyed by him.
"I need coffee and some pancakes. Now hurry, I don't have much time." He said coldly.
She hurried away.
"Psst! Pathetic humans." He thought.
Then he saw two men walk in with a young girl. They sat her down and both of them walked to the bathroom. She looked over at him and squenched her eyes. She made a digusted face then looked away. He on the other hand kept staring at her.
She got up and was about to walk towards him when she noticed the guys coming out. She quickly sat back down.
"What the hell was she coming over here to tell me? Who cares? She was probably going to tell me something bad of course." He thought.
One of the guys looked at him and smiled. He didn't bother smile back. They were probably making fun of him.
Then he noticed the skinny guy got up and started walking to him. He looked down at him and smiled.
"What the hell do you want?" Ethan shot out.
"Do you mind some company?" He asked.
"Yes I do mind. Now scram. I don't want anything you're offering."
The guy sat down giggling.
"No silly. I'm not a hooker or a slut. Don't worry hun, I'm not going to hurt you or anything."
He sounded kind of girlie.
"Crap," he thought," this thing is gay."
"So. . . .what's a hunk like you doing alone at this hour?"
"I want to be alone. What do you want from me?" Ethan asked getting annoyed.
The guy looked at him with a serious face and whispered,"Listen. I am not gonna do anything bad to you, okay? I told my friend over there I knew you."
"Why did you do that?" Ethan asked.
"Because they think I'm a loser. I told them I knew a hot guy and since you're the hottest guy here, I told them I knew you. Can you please do me a favor and take me home?"
"I don't even know your name yet. Why would I do a stranger a favor?"
"My name is Alex. Please, just do me this favor and you'll never have to see me again. I promise."
Ethan got up and said,"I don't have a car."
"We can walk."
Ethan sighed.
"Well hurry!"
Alex walked over to his friends and gave them a hug.
"I'll see you guys tomorrow and I'll tell yall how it went!"
His friends nodded and Alex ran up to Ethan.
"Are you ready sunshine?" Ethan asked angrily.
Alex grabbed Ethan's hand then held it.
Ethan groaned. When they were walking out Alex said,"Thanks alot. I owe you one."
"You don't owe me anything and plus, you said I was never gonna see you again."
"Yeah, sorry. I forgot about that."
They were about a mile away when Ethan pulled away from Alex's hand.
"Finally!" Ethan yelled.
Alex coughed.
"What now?" Ethan said with rage.
"I know they're following us."
"What!?"
"Yeah. They always do this to me. They follow me home when I'm with someone and see if it's true."
Ethan got more mad, but continued to walk with Alex.
"Okay, so where exactly do you live?" Ethan asked.
Alex pointed to a red builing in the corner and looked at Ethan.
Ethan noticed and looked at him from the corner of his eye.
"Can I ask you something?" Alex said.
"What? If you're gonna ask if I'm gay, then no. I am not gay."
"No. That's not it. Something troubles you, yes?"
"What's it to you?" Ethan kept walking.
"I just wanted to know. Your father?"
Ethan stopped in his trail.
"How did you know?" He asked.
"I'm one of you."
Ethan was silenced.
"I was created for a purpose and one purpose only. My purpose in this world is to destroy them. Isn't that why you're here? Don't lie, because you don't have to."
"Okay. Fine if you insist. I am here to destroy them, but what do you care? I know you're a liar. My father sent me and Erik to do this job. He said this was OUR job. So what the hell are you doing here? And do I know you?" Ethan asked sitting on the sidewalk.
Alex sat next to him.
"Erik? Who is this you speak of?"
Ethan gave him a glare.
"Erik is my friend. He is like a brother to me. He is my partner."
"Oh, I see. That's why you didn't want to hold my hand. This Erik is your mate."
"He is not my mate! He is my friend! He is the guy I'm suppose to be with while we kill those animals!" Ethan yelled.
A couple of dogs barked and Ethan got quiet.
"Ahh. . .you don't like admitting you have a mate. I see...don't worry, I completely understand. I will not touch you throughout our journey."
"He has a british-like accent." Ethan thought to himself.
"I do NOT have a mate!! I don't WANT one!" Ethan said with rage.
"Okay. . . .so you are mad because you can't get a mate? That's pretty stupid."
"NO! I am mad, because you will NOT shut up! Get this through your pretty little head. . .I DON'T WANT A MATE!!"
Alex smiled.
"What?" Ethan raged.
"You said I had a pretty head."
Ethan turned to hide his face.
"So?"
"Thank you."
"Whatever. . .are we almost to your house?"
Alex nodded.
"Yeah, just a couple more steps and we're there."
"Good. . . .I don't know how much I can stand this cold weather."
Alex handed him his jacket. Ethan looked at it and smiled. He took it and slowly put it on.
"Thanks."
"Whatever. . .look." Alex pointed at a dog limping on the street.
Ethan turned to it and shrugged.
"So?"
"Look at it."
Ethan shrugged and looked at the dog again.
"What about it? It's not doing anything except scavenging for food."
"Yes."
"So? Why'd you tell me to look at the dog?" Ethan asked confused.
"That's what I have to do here."
"What? Look at dogs?"
"NO! I have to scavenge for food!"
"Oh."
"All my life I've had good meals . . . .but ever since I came to this damn place I've had to scavenge for my food. Do you know how that feels?" Alex asked as leaned on a brick wall. He put his index finger on his forehead and leaned his head on it, then he closed his eyes. From Ethan's point of view, Alex's fingernail looked like it was digging in his head.
"I have to admit I don't know how it feels to scavenge for food."
"Exactly. . .you don't know how it feels. I sense something about you though."
Ethan looked away for awhile then turned his attention to the dog again.
"Sense something about me?"
"Yes. You are not fully us. . .are you?"
"No, I am not. I was born different. My father told me the truth but I swore to him I would never tell anyone. I'm only half."
"You didn't exactly tell me, so you haven't broke your promise yet."
"I guess you're right. So, we there yet?"
Alex smiled towards the red building and nodded.
"I'm here. You can go now. Thank you."
Ethan watched him walk towards his house then thought of something.
"What? I be a gentleman and bring you safetly home, and you don't even invite me in?"
Alex turned to him and smiled.
"Wanna come in?"
Ethan ran up to his house and Alex slowly opened the door for him. He walked in happily and looked around.
"Nice house. My house would never be this clean."
"The maid does this, not me. I am not clean. . .trust me."
"You have a maid? Lucky. . .and rich."
"I'm not rich. . .I just have more money that the average person." Alex said taking his jacket off of Ethan.
Ethan made himself comfortable on Alex's couch and turned on the TV. Alex noticed and walked over to him.
"What are you doing?"
"Watching TV....why? I can't do that or what?" Ethan asked holding the controller in his hand.
"Is that why you wanted to come in?"
"No."
"Then?"
Ethan sighed and turned the TV off.
"Okay. The real reason why I wanted to come in was because I wanted to ask you something."
Alex layed on a different couch and put his head on his arm.
"Okay. . . .well? What is it?"
"Are you. . .are you. . . uhmm. . . are really a . . .
"A what? A homosexual?"
"Yeah that. Are you?"
Alex chuckled.
"Yes."
"Oh. Why?"
"Why I'm a homo? I don't really know. I just like guys, that's pretty much it."
"How does it feel?"
"Good."
"Do you like it?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"Hmm....better question. Why are you asking me so many questions about my sexuality?"
Ethan coughed.
"I don't know. I'm just interested. Have you had sex with any guys yet?"
"Yes."
"Were you the one doing it or being done to?"
"Both. I mean I've done it to a guy before, but I would much rather be the one doing it to."
"Why?"
"I don't really know. It feels good I guess."
"Oh, okay."
"I think you're gay."
"I AM NOT!!"
"Then, why so many questions?"
"I just wanna know. I'm straight though."
"Okay. Can you go now? I kind of have to take a bath. And you don't want to stay here while I do that."
"Why?"
"Let's just say I do things in there that you would mind hearing."
Ethan's eyes got big and he got up and walked to the door.
"I guess this was the last time we would see each other, huh?"
"Yeah." Ethan said opening the door.
"Hold on. I have to give you something." Alex walked into the kitchen and came back with a small object in his hands.
"What is it?"
Alex put something on Ethan's neck and gently kissed it.
Ethan felt a shock run through his body.
"What the hell is that?"
He looked at it and it was a necklace. A necklace with black beads on it.
"This was your father's."
"How do you know?"
"Your father was my father's best friend."
"How did you get this?"
"My father told me to give it to you. Now go before I take it back."
Ethan was about to go, but then he felt a cold hand on arm. He was forcably pulled back.
"What the he-
Then he felt cold lips on his.
Alex had pulled him back for a kiss. His lips were as cold as ice.
Ethan quickly pulled away, still in a kissing trance. He looked at Alex and he could see a smile on his face. Then he blacked out.
