I gasped as I stared out the window of the plane, pressing my face as close to the plastic window as possible without actually touching it. However, I was close enough to where my breath caused the window to fog up. Wide-eyed, I stared at the ground below in amazement and wonder.
City lights from the ground twinkled all across the land, proudly shining off its brightest. It was absolutely stunning. For a moment, I wondered if the plane was upside down and that the ground was actually the sky, but when I looked out to the east, I saw the reddish hue of the sun beginning to rise from the East, and knew that we were right-side up. Again, I stared down at the ground in wonder, and probably looking very much like a child.
I was very much saddened when the city lights left, but knew it wasn't gone forever. I leaned back against my seat and closed my eyes, imagining myself flying over the city again, above the lights, as the plane landed on the gravel floor. I hardly even noticed the bumps as the plane landed roughly, and was snapped awake when one of the flight attendance said we were now unboarding. I blushed and slowly stood up, not wanting to hit my head on the top of the plane where the lights and small TV were. Grabbing my stuff, I waited a bit before finally getting into the aisle, and by that time, most of the people had already unboarded.
Walking out of the plane, my mind drifted elsewhere, or rather, to someone. A small smile played on my lips as I thought about the small blond, and I felt the blush rise up to my cheeks again. Forcing them down, I walked into the airport, and looked around. It felt good to finally be able to stand up and stretch, after hours of sitting down inside the cramped airplane.
I walked a little deeper into the airport, but stopped when I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. Smiling, I turned around and there, I was met with the pair of the most amazing brown eyes. Once again, I felt the blood rush up to my cheeks, but I did not try to stop it this time. Instead, I let it spread over my cheeks as I shyly looked up at him. Behind him and through the glass windows, I saw the fiery redness of the sun coming closer and closer to rising.
He opened his mouth and with his deep voice, he spoke my name, and that only sent shivers up and down my back. I nodded my head and whispered his name also, which made him smile also.
We just stood there in each other's arms, and neither of us moved. I, surely, didn't want to and I had a feeling he didn't want to either. Either way, I felt my heart flutter when he leaned up closer to my face, and my blush deepened. I felt it. I closed my eyes, but as I did so, I saw the sun barely come over the top of the horizon. He was so close now, I felt his breath against my lips and I waited for that single moment....
I never did feel his lips against mine, for the moment he did, the sun rose over the horizon, and I awoke from my dream.

this is also for TheBlackRoseSuicides. The main character has no name and I did not specify whether it is a girl or a boy, so I left it completely up to you to decide. You could make the character a girl, or you could make it a boy. I don't care. Anyways, go crazy.. B e a u t i f u l ~*~ D i s a s t e r ~*~ L a y o u t sDid you like this story?
