You sat near the window looking outside; you were currently with Light, Matsuda and Mogi. They were waiting for Lights father to arrive, while you continued to wallow over L
"Natsumi-san?, are you okay?, youve been like this for a while now..." you looked up, seeing a concerned Matsuda, you wanted to smile and say 'Im okay!', but you were to upset to do anything about it.
"Matsuda, leave her alone..." it was Light; you looked up, frowning in sadness. You knew it had been him who killed L. 'L-sama...' but you refused to say anything about it.
The past couple of days had been really stressful for Light, with Near and that other fellow; who you knew was Mello trying to figure Light/Kira out. You knew Mello, Matt, Near and L from your childhood; no, you werent residing in Wammys or anything like that.
You met Mello because he accidentally knocked you out with a soccer ball, after meeting him, you met Matt, then L who Mello looked up to- and then Near, being closer in age to him, you liked visiting him. Youd often make sweets for all of them, although you were only 9, your father helped you cook often.
"Light-kun, im going out, do you need anything?" you stood up, looking at him softly. He looked, shocked. "... no, thanks" he took sometime, but answered. You nodded, taking your coat and leaving the small apartment room.

You were sitting on a bench in the park. It was a lonely afternoon, no one appeared to be around at the moment which was perfect because it gave you time to think things over, "What would you do L-sama?"
You asked yourself, looking up at the sky, hoping that youd get an answer. Of course you didnt, you sighed and looked at the ground, tears threatening to fall from your eyes, and thankfully they just stayed in the corners of your eyes.
"Natsumi Shouko?" you looked up upon hearing your alias, a man with short brown hair stood there, wearing sunglasses and a suit. You panicked a bit, but tried to remain calm
"Do you need something?" the man sighed contently, you frowned a bit. Standing up to look at him better (though in reality it was to be able to run away if needed), he took a step forward, while you took one backwards
"Im not here to hurt you, I just need to escort you back with me" you looked at him puzzled "Excuse me?" the man took another step forward
"Its best if we hurry up, or well miss the flight" you frowned and were about to turn back and run, but a hand stopped you from doing so. You quickly turned, slightly frightened, to see the man. He began to 'softly' drag you away

You were sitting awkwardly in the airplane, the strange man in front of you, he appeared to be looking out the window. You stared at him, very uncomfortable and scared. "Do you need something?" he mocked you to ease the awkward silence
You quickly snapped out of your staring trance and blushed, looking at your very interesting white socks, while shaking your head in embarrassment "um... who sent you?"
You spoke softly; maybe too softly. "Im sorry?" you blushed and looked up, the blush still covering your face "who sent you?" this time, your voice was a little bit more firm that usual
"I---" before he could answer your question, he took out something that looked like a small headphone, he placed it over his ear and took out something that looked like a phone; you looked around hoping to avoid any awkward silences.
You quickly drifted off to lalaland, daydreaming about Mello and Matt; although they were older than you were, they were kind of nice to you; well by nice you mean Mello being pissed off and always making comments about Near; while Matt sometimes ignored you from being to caught up in his game boy. Then there was always L, although you were only able to spend a few years with him, you looked up to him, and admired him greatly. He was like an older brother; and Near, youd never admit it, but you had grown to love Near over the past years, you never knew any of their names, but you didnt mind it.
You always though it was cool how they had aliass, so you made up one of your own, Near though it was 'unnecessary', but you didnt care. They all knew your real name, and you were comfortable with it. A sudden hand brought you back to reality, a small object on it
"Huh?" you looked up at the man, who wasnt wearing his sunglasses anymore, revealing pretty blue eyes

"Put it on" you obliged and shyly put it on your ear, the man handing you his cell phone thing, taking it hesitantly you placed it near your face; pressing a button, you heard a small 'beep' signaling that you could speak "um..."
"Shouko-san" the voice wad distorted, spooked you slightly, yet comforted you, because it reminded you greatly of L "um... who is this?" you inquired timidly, once again unsure into the cell phone thing
"Youll see soon enough, right now I need for you to cooperate, do you think you can do that?" you looked at the cell phone thing, a bit mad, and quickly responded
"Cooperate?, I don't know where im going, or who im gonna go see; im in a plane with a complete stranger and im only 15!, how am I suppose to cooperate?!" you couldnt help but be angry, after all you didnt know any of these people, it was only natural for you to be angry out of fright
"Shouko-san theres no need to be mad, I assure you, we know each other; you just need to be patient, can you do that for me?" you sighed softly, pondering for a second weather or not to oblige; could this be Near?, or maybe it was Mello. You took a deep breath and responded
"Hai, demo... what about my father?" you heard a long pause, and after a few more seconds came a response "Ive taken care of that; would you mind passing me over to Gevanni?" you looked at the cell phone thing in confusion, then realized that it had to be the man in front of you since he was the only one you came with.
Taking of the chip from your ear, you handed it to the man in front of you who you know recognized as Gevanni, shyly putting it in front of you "Ano, Stranger-san wants to talk to you' Gevanni took both 'accessories' from your hand and put them on.

You were in a cab, your English was a bit rough, after all you had been living in Japan for 4 years now, and you were quite used to the language. You looked at the man in front of you, he didn't look like someone you should be afraid of, so you though youd try to be 'friends' with him "ano... you know my name, but I don't know yours"
You said with a slight smile, although you did know his name, you wanted him to introduce himself properly. He appeared a bit confused when you first spoke to him, but in an equally friendly manner he responded "Gevanni, my names Gevanni"
He was quick to put the cab in an awkward silence. You shifted trying to get comfortable, but found it useless; so you spoke again "ne, Gevanni-san?"
He looked up at you, intrigued that youd be willing to try and make friends with him, or at least 'poke around' his business "Yes?" you smiled a bit
"Is Stranger-san a mean person?, I couldnt tell from when we spoke", he appeared to be thinking, and took a moment to respond
"No" you though he would end there, but he continued, keeping away from the awkward silence "he may come off a bit, strong, but hes really nice." Gevanni didnt think describing Near would be so hard, but Near did tell him, not to tell you who he was.
You 'oh'ed' and smiled, feeling comfortable with this man "what does he look like?" you smiled again, this time Gevanni coked his head to the side, probably trying to figure out how to describe the man you were about to meet "well, honestly hes rather--"

you were currently standing in front of a giant building, you felt slightly intimidated, but nonetheless; you put on a brave face on, looking back to see Gevanni. But he wasnt there "huh?" you looked around, not finding him, until you heard from in front of you
"Shouko-sa--" before he continued you interrupted him, in a cheerful manner "call me Natsumi!, or Sumi", he sighed while you jogged inside, smiling brightly.

You stood curiously in front of two giant metal doors, Gevanni was behind you; you looked around, two cameras, some sort of security thing, just as you were about to turn around and ask Gevanni about it, he quickly covered your eyes with a blindfold. You panicked
"Gevanni-san?, wh-whats going on?" you asked, he placed a hand on your shoulder to calm you, the proceeded on doing whatever he needed to do; upon hearing the doors slide open you felt a slight nudge to go forward, you obliged to this slight action.
Hearing the doors closed, you felt Gevanni part from your side, you stood there dumbly, not knowing weather or not you could take of the blindfold, until you heard a woman this time "you can take it off"
You shyly reached up to touch the blindfold, taking it off inspecting the room, not noticing a certain white-haired male sitting down on the far right side of the room "um, could someone tell me why im here?"

You squeaked, upon finding the blond haired woman so intimidating, and staring you down. "Because I asked Gevanni to bring you here" still no taking your eyes away from the blond woman it took you a while to look away, spotting white wavy hair a bit far from you.

Your confused almost scared expression quickly began to fade and change into a huge smile. Not waiting for him to stand up you quickly ran to him, tackling him in a hug into his back. You felt him tense up upon your body falling right on top of his, but quickly relax and hug you back.
You began to cry, you were so happy that words could not explain how you felt right now "Near-kun!, I missed you!" you cuddled onto his chest as he sat up, you still tangled on him. You felt him sigh and pet your back with one of his hands, while the other supported him from falling again

Both you and Near were sitting inside a hotel room, on the bed, with Ridner as you now knew her, was outside guarding the 'floor', while you two; well mostly you, spoke about the past and such
"Thats how I worked under L-sama... ne Near-kun?" you looked at him, blushing slightly; your heart began to race, and your hands were sweaty "yes?"
Although his voice was slightly bored, you could tell he was interested "why did you bring me here?" your face reflected happiness and curiosity at the same time, he sighed and explained
"When L died, both Mello and I were told about it, that Kira killed him." Your expression saddened upon his mention; after all you had grown to like L very much. Near continued "You are the only person who knows what Mello and I look like, so Mello and I decided youd stay with me"
After hearing that you felt slightly disappointed, and tried to joke "You and Mello had a conversation in peace?" you laughed nervously, as he explained further
"No, it was more like; Mello decided" you felt even more disappointed, neither of them wanted you around
"You know Near, if im troublesome I could jus--" before you could continue, Near interrupted, a slight smirk on him face as he leaned back onto his chair
"Besides... suki dayo" you gasped, and blushed hard, looking up at him and smiling. Then giggled and responded "you know Near-kun, Gevanni-san was right when he described you!"
Near cocked his head to the side a bit; you looked at him directly and said "youre so lovable!" you closed your eyes and smiled softly at him; but soon opened them wide upon feeling lips pressed against yours, after a few moments of not returning the kiss Near parted, you still shocked and flushed
"Near-kun..." you looked directly at him, your expression going from shocked to overjoyed. You threw your arms around his neck and held onto him, since you didnt exactly know how to kiss.
Near took your face in his hands and kissed you again, very softly and briefly, before pulling away to say "suki dayo, Naomi"
You leaned onto his touch enjoying his touch. "Daisuki desu, Near-kun"
