"USOU!!!!!!!!"
Yoh and Manta shouted as a vein popped out of Horo Horo's forehead.
"What do you mean!?"
He shouted at those two, feeling offended.
"Ah, gomen, we don't mean it that way."
Yoh quickly said as they calm back down. "So you guys know that school?" Horo Horo asked as you all stare at him. "Shaman High is the most famous, world wide school. You didn't know!?" Manta exclaimed as Horo Horo shook his head. "Then why did you come all the way here?" Yoh asked as Horo Horo thought for a bit. "They offered it for free so I can't past that chance!" He replied as you all crashed onto the ground except for Hao who merely took a sip of his tea.
"Souka. Then come with us tomorrow."
Hao said as Horo Horo look up.
"Huh?"
"Actually, we're all going to Shaman High too."
Manta explained as you notice stars in Horo Horo's eyes.
"Really!?!?!?!?!? You're all a life saver!!!!!!"
"No."
A firm voice, just like last time, said as the door slide open revealing the devil.
"Anna....."
Yoh whispered weakly as you quickly look away from Anna's cold glare while Horo Horo flinched. "Demo Anna....." "No buts." Anna stated coldly as you look at her, then to Horo Horo. With that, Anna walks away, but not before saying,
"Ayame, hurry and prepare dinner."
"H-Hai..."
You replied, but you don't think she heard you since she shut the door. She seems really angry. "What happened while we're away?" Hao asked as they all turn to him. "Well...." Yoh started as they explained how Anna beat them up twice today, one from Yoh slacking off in training and one for Horo Horo slacking off from duty. And what’s scary was that Anna had used Manta to hit them.
After you finished listening, you sweat dropped and shivered as you felt a chill running throughout your body. "Glad we're not there." Hao said as you nodded softly. "J-Ja....I'll go prepare dinner now......I-I don't want Anna to get mad…again...." You said as you stood up and headed towards the door. "I'll come with you." You heard as you turn to see Hao.
"D-Demo, your-"
"I'm fine."
~In the Kitchen~
"Hao....you should really take it easy......"
You said as Hao help you set up the plates and stir the soup with his good arm as he smiled at you. "It's fine. Beside, I didn't get to repay you for today." Hao replied as you frowned slightly. "I-I'm responsible for your injury....if you didn't s-" Before you can finish your sentence, Hao gently place a finger on your lips to silent you as you blushed and notice how close his face was to yours.
By now, your face was as red as a cherry as Hao in lean. Before you know it, he gently licked your cheek as your face burn up, feeling as if you're going to faint any moment. Slowly, Hao pulls away and removed his finger with a soft smile playing on his lips.
"There's a grain of rice on your cheek."
He stated as you continue to stare in trance, but immediately snapped out as you quickly went back to cooking. "If you think a basketball tournament worth more than your life, then you're terribly mistaken." Hao said as you turn to him in surprise, but look back down and pour the soup into bowls as you open the lid of a pot to see the meat buns ready along with some dumplings.
Taking a long chopstick, Hao gently took out the dumpling and the buns, arranging them onto the plate as you thanked him. "You'll come won't you?" Hao suddenly asked as you two place the dish over the table. "Eh?" You said with confusion as Hao took your hand and place a piece of paper into your palm. You stared at him for a bit before looking into your palm to see the ticket for the basketball tournament. The time was right after school located in the school's gym.
"D-Demo....."
"If you don't want to, I understand."
"I-Iie....that's not what I meant."
You quickly said as Hao gave you a soft smile. You just stood there, holding the ticket gently as if it was a thin, fragile sheet of ice.
"Think over it. I'll go call them to eat now."
Hao said as he walks away, leaving you standing there, staring at the ticket in your palm.
~Next Day~
"Woah! It's huge!!"
Horo Horo exclaimed as you all stood at the foot of Shaman High as Horo Horo glaze at the giant building with awe.
"But why aren't there anyone?"
"Because we're early."
Yoh replied but that moment, the ground started to shake as you and Yoh flinched. "E-Earthquake?" Horo Horo gasped as you and Yoh quickly grab each of his arms. "Iya, Stampede!" Yoh shouted as you two quickly dash away from Hao who continues walking towards the school door. In less than a second, he was surrounded by girls as you, Yoh and Horo Horo sat aside, staring at the large group that rapidly grows.
"Woah!"
Horo Horo shouted with a sweat drop as you smiled weakly. "Hao's really popular here." Yoh explained as Horo Horo look at the group. "Why?" "Hao’s a prodigy and he has attractiveness so all the girls consider him as their ideal boyfriend or something." Yoh replied as Horo Horo turn to you.
"It must be really tough for you."
"Y-You're mistaken!"
You quickly replied but your voice was covered by the screams of girls.
"AAAH!!!!!!!!! HAO-SAMA!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK IN THE TOURNAMENT!!!!!!!!!!"
"I'M GOING TO CHEER FOR YOU, HAO-SAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"HAO-KUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Hao-sama's the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"THOSE GUYS FROM MABURA SECONDARY WON'T STAND A CHANCE AGAINST HAO-SAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
They shouted as you sweat dropped as the crowd grew larger and larger.
"KKKKYYYYYYYAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAO-SAMA YOUR ARM!!!!!!!!!!!!"
A girl exclaimed as the entire place quiet down, finally noticing Hao's injured arm.
"HAO-SAMA DAIJOBU!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?"
"Eh, just a little scratch."
You heard Hao replied softly as the girl who Hao just reply to nearly faint.
"Iya!!! Hao-sama just spoke with me~"
"NOW'S NOT THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!"
The other girls screamed, angry as they quickly turn their attentions back to Hao.
"HAO-SAMA!!!! WHO HURT YOU!?!?!?!?!? I, SAKURA WILL AVENGE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!"
'A-Avenge...? Hao's not dead....'
"NO I WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"HAO-SAMA, MY FATHER'S THE HEAD DOCTOR, TELL ME WHAT MEDICINE YOU NEED AND I'LL GET THEM FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"HAO-HAN, WHO COULD HAVE DONE SUCH HORRIBLE THING!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?"
"WHO EVER DID THIS TO HAO-SAMA MUST BE SOME COWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"YEAH!!!!! WHOEVER HURT HAO-SAMA WON'T GET AWAY WITH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"WHAT KIND OF IDIOT COULD HAVE DONE THIS TO HAO-SAMA!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?"
The girls continues to screamed as you sank lower and lower into the ground as those girl's words falling onto you, crushing you under the heavy piles as Yoh and Horo Horo quickly dug you back up.
"G-Gomen nasai....gomen nasai....."
You whispered repeatedly as Yoh and Horo Horo sweat dropped at how you’re sulking with dark aura coming out of your body. "You don't need to listen to them. And besides, it's not your fault." Yoh said as Horo Horo nodded.
"Are you all finish!?"
Hao's firm voice suddenly boom over the girl's squeaky ones as the place quickly became silent. That moment, Hao walk out of the crowd of girls, his eyes hidden behind his long bangs and he seems to be really angry. No one dare to move, not even you or Horo Horo. But Yoh was unaffected as he helps you up to your feet.
"Daijobu. Hao isn't mad at you."
Yoh assured you as you three walk into the school, leaving the ground of girls who were screaming and shouting at each other, accusing each other for angering Hao.
"AH!!!! HAO-SAMA!!! MATTE KUDASAI!!!!!!!!"
That moment, you three quickly ducked to the side as the large group of fan girls ran into the school and out of your sight in an instant.
