It was a silent ride back to your new home... the Keneddy Residence. You didn't want to talk about it... heck you just couldn't believe what was happening to you. You absolutely still can't!

Leon Scott Kennedy... your new official body guard assigned by the PRESIDENT himself! Now you can't deny that offer, besides you're gonna die without him. You can't even inspect your car properly to find any huge bombs inside. Just imagine the disaster you'd be in without the dashing brunnette to make it worth your while?

Your thoughts were broken to pieces the moment Leon's voice broke the silence.

"Hey Hunnigan, mind doing me another favour?", Leon didn't place his phone on his ears, instead he took his earpiece to talk, he didn't want to be arrested or have an accident because of some stupid phone call... besides he works for the government! That would be a really bad stain on his reputation.

"Yeah... I was wondering if you could ask anybody to check if _______'s residence is clear and that no one else is inside? Yes... yes... that would be a good idea. Thanks a lot Hunnigan!"

Once the conversation was over, Leon took his earpiece off and placed it on one of his smaller compartments... not far enough from his reach to take his eyes off the road. "Are we really going back to my house?"

"Yeah... We need to check if they left anything so that we could track them down. Or we could take some of your belongings and see if they weren't able to take posession of some of your research on the Mother T-virus."

You looked at him a little skeptically and decided that poking him on the ribs or arm would be a good idea to take more information out of him. "Did it ever occur to you that they might have placed some sort of trap in my household?"

Leon chuckled at your statement and not your supposed-ticklish pokes. "That's why I asked Hunnigan to check for me."

"The government may have cameras on the streets but they surely don't have cameras in every residence, right?"

Leon felt silent as he continued to manoeuver the jeepney through the wide busy street due to the up coming of office hours. This made you a little nervous. Why wasn't he answering? "Leon? They don't have cameras in every residential houses... right?"

When you asked again, the brunette stopped the vehicle when he caught sight of the red light, signifying every single person driving the vehicle in the respective road to stop and make way for others. Because the vehicle wasn't moving, you could see clearly Leon nibbling his bottom lip as if he was restraining himself to give off any information that should stay within the halls of the government.

Unfortunately for him, you were too smart to figure things out. "Oh... my... gosh.", careful not to use the Lord's name in vain especially at the very time you needed HIM the most, you slapped a hand on your forehead in disbelief at the silent information given to you. "How'd the govern-"

"_______...", Leon stated, asking for your attention rather grimly, taking you by surprise. "We'll talk about this later. I promise. I can't tell you in public."

And with that, the light was green. You were thankful that the car was moving fast when you were interrogating him about his conversation with Hunnigan. Because of the speed and the noise the jeep made in it's high velocity and revolution of it's engines, no one could have heard about your alleged accusation or a light hearted jester. Leon really is very careful through out his missions. You couldn't help but wonder to yourself, what kind of missions did he go to to earn such respect from the most powerful man on the country.

A few moments passed, after mentally debating whether to keep the silence or not, Leon spoke once again."I couldn't tell you that now, but I could tell you something else. If there is anything in your mind."

YOUR POV

Not wasting any more time, and it was as if my lips had a mind of their own, I asked. "What mission were you assigned to before this one with me?"

There... that question could atleast summarise the things I wanted to ask him... hopefully.

"Alright... this one I can answer but you have to promise me you won't-"

"Who am I going to tell it to? You should have known by now that I would never give off unncessary information. Take for example, the reason why I got into this mess. Besides... I should learn to keep my mouth shut or I might die in return."

Instead of mocking me like some typical thing that boys would do, Leon smiled at me... making me forget why he was such a bully back in our childhood days. "I'm sorry... I should have known. Well... anyways.", Leon paused before swerving the car to the left. "I was assigned on a top secret mission to save the President's daughter."

"Ashley...", I whispered earning a nod of agreement from the brunette agent.

"Sources gave us a reliable information to the possible whereabouts of Ashley. The moment I arrived in the place, I thought I was in Spain because of the language used by the villager, who attacked me by the way. But then I pondered to myself through out my journey to rescue Ashley. When I was on a private air transportation of the Government, I noticed the Nazca lines my plane was hovering at. Minutes later, I recieved a fax from HQ and gave me some information about retrieving Ashley and the Heliports that would lead us to the government's provided sort of transportation waiting for me to return with the subject."

"And let me guess... those coordinates for those transportation points couldn't possibly be formed in Spain?"

Leon looked at me like I just read his mind... and with amazement glittering in his blue eyes, it was just enough for me to conclude a yes. "You never cease to amaze me _______. You're definitely one good reporter. Anyways... I'll continue." with a cough to clear his throat for another explanation, he continued just like he said. "Through out my mission, I was able to see waterfalls, giant lakes, snakes, and some Amazonian jungles in the south. And I only know one place that has all that... with the biggest hit: The Nazca Lines. I realised that I was in-"

"Venezuela.", I continued for him as he gave me another nod.

What is so important about this information, you ask? Well...

"Venezuela has access to the seas and oceans to the north and the east. But to reach USA they only need to go North without any problem having to cross any border almost undetected. If Wesker is on the move so is the Los Illuminados I faced there. The sample that they can't live without has been stolen by Wesker and his minions. It won't be too long 'til they find a new leader to lead them and take over the US. Both of the parties are fighting for power. The island in which I fought Osmund Saddler, the Head of the cult, had been destroyed. But the village where it all started was still intact."

I paused for a moment, trying to calmly take all of the information in my head and get a result. Fortunately, I found tons of them... all of them are very bad for my situation. "I'm in bigger trouble than I thought am I?"

I could tell that Leon didn't want me to get more nervous than I already was since he kept silent. But then, I urged him to give me more information just in case. "I am very sure that the cult would have found out about Wesker's plan. The worst scenario US would be in is if the Los Illuminados joins Wesker and share their knowledge of the sample. And I have no doubt that they would. But to get a better... no... perfect result, they need to find another subject who has thoroughly searched and learned about the other virus they have at hand."

"The Mother T-Virus. So that means..."

"They would never stop to come after you, _______."
AAHHHH!!! NOOO!!! Next panel please!
I was speechless... I knew that Umbrella would be after me if they found out... but getting another country involved with some crazy cult? And I thought I had it bad with one coming after me. Two Big parties is just plain hell.

"Then, why didn't you tell the President about this?", I asked him as he kept driving with his eyes stuck on the road.

"I told Hunnigan first since she has all the sources and the President is busy enough as he is trying to cover up my investigation. If he didn't, just imagine what the citizens would think if they heard that there's another crazy group of b*stards creating dangerous samples and biohazardous specimens? They would think that Umbrella is still running, and it truly is. The Economy will drop and so will the authority of the President. Chaos would be all over. Anyways... telling him about your situation won't surprise the President as much if I told him about everything. Besides... it was just a theory I had in mind. I really don't have enough proof."

"Your intuition and survival instincts are far enough to be proof Leon. We should have told him earlier and ask him to put the Navy and the Marines in every port to the southern east coast of the US. So then, we would all be ready for an attack or any visitor coming for Wesker.", I said.

"I told you... the President kept the kidnapping a secret. Having the whole fleat running around in the country would only cause chaos for the citizens and would definitely alert Umbrella of every single move the Government will make because of the snoopings that could be done by the media. No offense...", Leon gazed at me to appologise if ever I had taken offense. But honestly, I didn't. "Besides...", he continued, "I don't think there would be a large fleet of the Los Illuminados coming straight for Washington D.C.. I have a feeling they'd contact Wesker and arrange for a meeting some place else. And... there is something else that's been bothering me."

Something bothering Leon? Well that's something I needed to hear. So I asked for him to clarify what he meant. "When I was inside the country of the Los Illuminados, I was so sure I was in Venezuela. But one thing breaks the pattern."

"What's that?", I asked as I kept hoping that it wouldn't be another bad news.

Leon kept his eyes firm on the road. His hands, I could tell were gripping on the steering wheel so tight as if he was channeling his confusion to it. "Salazar. He breaks the pattern. I knew that Spain used to have Castellans running the country. But Venezuela? I doubt that."

Leon was right. That Salazar guy would break the pattern that it was indeed in Venezuela. If the President asked for another thorough search in Venezuela, the country would have suspicions. Besides, I think those people in the cult might have moved some place else since they knew that the US know where they are. But the big problem was, if it was in Venezuela, what was a Castellan doing in there? There must be a huge reason!

"Hm... do you think those stupid cult you were talking about needed funding from the Castellans of Spain? They are after all kind of like brother countries since they speak Spanish. Or maybe that Salazar guy is related to one of the High Powers working for the Cult."

Swerving to the right, the brunette responded. "Saddler did mention about asking ransom for Ashley. That could be possible."

Leon paused the moment we arrived back at his house. I got off the jeep before he could open the door for me. I didn't want to be such a burden to Leon... he has done enough for me and for the others. When we got inside and after pressing the correct sets of numbers to disengage the alarm, Leon's pocket started vibrating altogether with an interesting mp3 ringtone from his Blackberry 8820.

"Mission Impossible?", I asked skeptically but Leon shrugged with a smile in return.

"What? Everyday is a mission impossible for me."

Quite literally I told myself the moment Leon turned his back on me and answered his phone. "Yeah Hunnigan. Alright... that's good to know. I will... Thanks."

When Leon hang up, he went straight to the basement of his house, the entrance located under the rug of his living room. He entered but I hesitated. Maybe it's his secret sanctuary where he didn't want others to step on. So with a little shaky breath- "Leon?", I asked when he turned the lights on, only to reveal a metallic room.

He walked over to his alarm system and that kept me wondering... why would he have another alarm down here? "You can come down here, _______." Leon said as he pressed a few numbers on the alarm system. I walked down the cemented set of stairs and asked, "What did Hunnigan say? Is the coast clear?"

Before I could let my heel touch the metallic floor, the walls started shifting inside out only to reveal a whole set of dangerous armament. In surprise, I fell back on one of the steps, thankful at the same time that I didn't hurt my spinal cord. So much for a sanctuary...

The brunette muttered all the way, trying to find a good answer to my question. "Um..." He took a lone CZ 75B that stood out with the other pistols on his shelf. I have heard of this gun before, this was one of the top guns in service to the Governments, Militaries, Police and Security agencies than any other pistol in the world.

Taking out a gun like that, could only mean one thing. With a little hesitation to look at me, Leon replied.
Rest in results!!
"Not really..."
And with that, he loaded his gun with me staring in space. Hopefully this won't turn bloody, but I doubt it.
