~On With The Story~
Chapter Eight: Fairy Tale
Then I did something that I had never in public done before I exploded. "No! I am most certainly NOT alright!" Wolfram's expression looked taken a back. "Does that surprise you my lord?!" I mocked uncharacteristically. "What's wrong?" he asked quietly. "What's WRONG?! So many things Wolfram! For one what happened a few years ago when you abandoned me after YOU proposed?!"
He looked taken a back, but then quickly regained his posture. "You're pinning THAT on me?! Unbelievable you have some on beat me up and then you say that I ran away?!" "WHAT?!" I found myself screaming, "That is the most ridiculously stupid lie that I have ever heard of!" I slammed my hands over my ears, turned around and ran, ran away from him.
Eventually I let go of my ears and focused just on running faster and faster; I wasn't heading towards my room, not even to its general direction in complete honest truth I didn't know where I was heading the only thing on my mind at the time was
'I must get away'
Away from this place, and it wasn't just Wolfram but the entire mess, and Adrianne; she was the one person I could never tolerate no matter how hard I had tried she was just always there in the back of my head. I stopped running panting for air; tears streaking down my face. I gulped and finally looked up at my surroundings; trees and the moon where my only companions now.
I smiled at the sight, and despite what I was feeling right now the air and outside were refreshing. As I stood their quietly I recalled what it was like when I was a child away from the society. My mother had always been strict and commanding she never let me roam around outside and I was constantly stuck with the company of my old tutors and my maids. Not that they weren't good company I just wanted more to life than ruling a chair and never seeing the world.
That was when I had snuck out of the palace, when I had decided that I had finally had enough, that was the day that I wanted to decide for myself how my life was going to turn out. It was also they day that I met Wolfram. I lay down on the grassy floors
Dream:
"Your grace it's time for your algebra lesson," one of your maids called and you obediently got up and headed towards the great hall for your lesson. Anything that had to do with math was your worst subject ever, you sighed.
The lesson was over rather soon, as you decided to spend the rest if you time outside in the courtyard something you would always find yourself doing if you craved entrance into the outside world as you had come to call it. You got up and walked around the castle outside not searching for anything in particular, you sighed again as it had become your trademark for the day. You suddenly gasped at seeing a blond boy at the back of the courtyard playing with toy swords. Curiously you hid behind a large pillar hoping that he wouldn't see you as you observed him.
Unfortunately for you he had noticed, he gave you a blank stare as you felt lost in his emerald green eyes. You found yourself twiddling with your hands nervously. He blinked, "Can I help you with something?" he asked. I gulped, came out from behind the pillar and shook my head vigorously. "No I was just w-wandering," I stammered.
He blinked, and seemed to let it go, "Oh," he continued to play with his swords and I just continued to watch. After a while though he stopped, "My name's Wolfram, Wolfram Von Bielefeld," he said. My eyes widened slightly, "The Maoh's son, it's nice to meet you, your grace. I'm Christine Von Kleist," you said formally just as you were taught. He nodded, "Yeah, I've heard of you; the princess of perfection," he said smiling. You blinked and then slightly blushed, "Thank you," you said quietly.
From that day forth whenever you were done with your lessons or meals or studying you would run outside to see if Wolfram was there. This went on for over a year, and eventually you did confide in your very best friend other than Wolfram at the time: Adrianne Von Spitzbeg.
One day it was very rainy outside, and you were told not to go outside but you did anyway. Wolfram stood there seemingly unafraid of rain or lightning. You smirked slyly deciding to scare him, as you crept up behind him, and tried to scream 'Boo!' you were unsuccessful as he had sensed you before. He spun around and smacked you on the face.
You screamed quietly falling back wards, "What?!" you shrieked at him holding your palm against your slapped cheek. "Chris?" he said sounding surprised, "I didn't think that you would come out today, because it was raining in all. I thought you were some one else. Sorry," he said apologetically. You smiled and nodded realizing it was a mistake. But then you realized something, and your eyes widened, "Wolframwhat hand did you just use?" you said your voice barely a whisper.
He didn't seem to understand at first and raised his bare left hand. And then he quickly caught on. "Oh godI'm sorry Christine," he muttered. I blinked not exactly the reaction I expected wait what?! Expecting what should I be expecting, it was just a simple mistake then why did I want to hear that he had meant it?
"Your sorry is all you can say?" you found yourself saying. "What would you like to there then?" he said with annoyance dripped all over his sentence and tone. "I would like to hear that you meant it!" I screamed with out realizing what you just said. But the second it was all out you covered your mouth and turned ready to run, but Wolfram grabbed your arm. "Christine Von Kleist, will you marry me?" he said his voice calm without a hint of fooling around in it.
You gulped for a second not knowing what to say. But that soon wore off, "yes!" you screamed and the two of you hugged. Later on you walked upstairs to your bedroom took a shower and dried off you where brushing your hair when Adrianne walked in with a scowl all over her face. "What's wrong Adria?" you asked her worried. "I heard," she said simply. You gulped slightly, "Oh" you found yourself saying."Yes," she muttered, "Are you actually happy with this?" she asked you. You spun around to look at her quickly, "Yes!" she looked shocked and taken a back and you lightly smiled as you spun around and began brushing your light coral locks yet again, your crimson eyes set upon the mirror, but you continued talking. "He's perfect for me" you said dreamily, "and I love him." You turned around again to look at Adrianne, for a split second you saw something flash through her eyes.
But then she smiled at you, and you thought she was alright
End Dream
You woke up abruptly not sure what to do anymore. What if Wolfram was right and Adrianne did fight him. But the one question is why? Not that you would put it past Adrianne to do something like that, but that emotion that flickered through her eyes that day, I had totally forgotten about that.
You turned around and walked back to the palace knowing that running away never solved anything and it wouldn't now. You walked right up to your room, and surprisingly enough no body noticed you were gone. You were glad for that, because if word had gotten out that you had actually attempted to runaway the twelve aristocrats would be in shame. You went up to your room, took a long bubble bath and washed your hair and changed into a suitable dress.
I then walked down the stairs and through the halls. "Good Morning Princess," came the enthusiastic voice of Greta. "Hello dear," you said smiling at her, "I was looking for your father, Wolfram. Have you seen him?" you asked. She smiled and nodded pointing to the direction of the great hall. You smiled and thanked her as you ran off in that direction.
As you did you heard two voices talking, or yelling rather from the hall. "According to you she wanted to end the engagement! Why would you lie Adrianne?" Wolfram's voice came off as a growl. And you were almost scared for Adrianne. "Tccht I did the two of you a favor you would never have lasted!" she screamed right back at him.
You gasped and covered your mouth, gulping down air. So Adrianne had done it and because she was jealous?! You glared mentally, and couldn't take it anymore. You burst through the doors and the two of them looked shocked to see you. Immediately Adrianne faked tears, "Christine! It's terrible Wolfram is accusing me of-" "Shut up," I said pissed off seriously.
She looked taken a back. "But Chris-" she started again and I cut her off again. "Listen Adrianne; I never want to see you again so leave!" She looked scared of what I had just said but I just continued glaring and she finally did get the pictures and ran out the door terrified of me apparently
~Rest In Results~
'Loser'
I turned to Wolfram, "I'm sorry," I said, "For not believing you and running off." He looked taken a back as well, but then regained posture, "No it's my fault" he said, "I should have come and explained things afterwards I knew that you weren't the type of person to hire Adrianne to do something like that," continued apologetically. He walked closer and stopped on bended knee. "Christine Von Kleist will you marry me?" he asked. You no longer hesitated or gasped or anything like that because there was nothing to hesitate about anymore"Yes," you said smiling and the two of you kissed.
The wedding did happen and it was a spectacular event, for not just for the demons or the few but for every demon and human in the kingdom. The two of you lived happily ever after
