Ch.1 sweet desires (A vampire love story)

“So Shay,’ said Tera looking through the fridge. “When we go shopping. I say we invest into a spa.”
“No,” answered Shay brushing her hair. “We need to get clothes and food. That is our goal.”
“fine,” said Tera letting out a sad, sigh. “I bet Carmen would have let us get a new spa.” Shay frowned and put the brush down. “Sometimes, Tera.” She said going to get Danny. When there was a knock on the door. Shay walked over to the door. “Who is it?” she asked.
“Gavin now open up,” said the voice. “Someone is in trouble,” said Tera smiling. Shay opened the door and a women about thirty stepped in. She had her hair light brown hair tightly put into a bun. She also had stress written all over her face. “Hi,” she said shutting the door. “I am Gavin and you be my new trainees.” She smiled.
“Huh?” asked Tera frowning. “I did not agree to being a trainee.”
“To bad because you have too,” said Gavin passing Shay a CD. “This happened last night. I think it might interest you.”
Shay looked at Tera concerned, and put the CD in the DVD player. She looked over to Gavin who had a completely emotionless expression on her face. It nearly put a chill up her spine. Then she passed Gavin the remote.
“If you have a weak stomach I recommend you leave,” said Gavin. Shay and Tera looked at each other.
“Good thing Danny is still asleep.” Said Tera. “What should we expect?” she asked as the tape started. The tape was taken on the side of a building. All that was happening so far was a paper bag flying around. It was dark out also.
“Wow,” said Tera. “I am so scared.”
Gavin just shook her head when a man walked onto the screen he was walking with something in his arms. Tera and Shay got closer to the screen. The guy dropped the bundle on the ground, it turned out to be another man and it was trying to crawl away from the first man. Another person walked on screen and was forcing a girl to move ahead of him. Gavin stopped the tape.
“Okay now I want to see something before we go on,” said Gavin grabbing the remote. She zoomed in on the screen onto the girl.
“Omigod,” said Tera and Shay in unison, both in extreme shock.
“That’s Carmen,” said Danny walking in. She was rubbing her eyes. “That guy holding her is Chain.”
“So I guessed correctly then,” said Gavin. “In that case there is no reason to watch the rest, unless you feel like loosing your lunch.” The girl’s eyes grew wide. They did not want to hear any more. “Two people were reported dead, and a canine,” said Gavin. “So unless you want to contribute you will join my team.”
“If I did not know better,” said Shay looking at Gavin. “That sounded a lot like a threat.”
 “Maybe,” said Gavin. “I doubt you want to find out though.”
“Let us talk,’ said Shay.
“Don’t worry,” said Gavin. “You have 24 hours to make up you mind. We will be in touch.”
“Wait!” yelled Danny.She ran over and jumped over the couch. "Why are making us this offer?”
“You all and I have something in common,” said Gavin. “If you stay I can teach you something that Dawn, Ken, and the rest of them could never learn. So think about.” Gavin stood up and left.
“Wow,” said Tera. “That is nice to wake up too.”
“Yeah,” said Shay Tying her shoe. “You ready now?”
“Yep,” said Danny and Tera in unison.
