Digital or reality?
It was very hard to tell the difference in this alternate Twilight Town; even to the people who knew it was digital like Kira. For almost a year she lived in this "data-based projection", as DiZ put it, and all the people seemed real to her. Especially the real people living in the actual Twilight Town, she still continued to live as if they were the real people.
And why does a fifteen year old girl live in a place like this, you ask? Kira was there to keep an eye on Roxas so nothing would go wrong. She was helping DiZ, Namine, and Ansem/Riku bring Sora back. She didn't know Sora personally but DiZ found out that Kira was a computer wiz and asked if she would help him. Gladly she said yes and help make the Alternate Twilight Town. After the project was done, Kira was not needed anymore but since she got really interested in what they were trying to do, she decided to continue to help and made sure nothing was in the projection that wasn't suppose to be there.
As Kira stayed in the alternate town, she had become friends with Roxas. It was kind of hard for her to believe that he was a Nobody with no feelings. There were even times when she forgot he was a Nobody because of how he acted. And now just recently, Kira was starting to feel bad for lying to Roxas for so long.
But will Kira do anything about it?

It was just about six days before school began in the Alternate Twilight Town and Kira was walking down the street to the Tram Common. She worked at the Candy Shop just like she did in the real Twilight Town. The only thing different was that it wasn't her real grandmother owning the place. It was a virtual person.
"Good morning, Grandma," the brunette greeted the old woman as she approached the shop. Of course, Kira knew it wasn't her real grandmother but she was missing her real one and calling the virtual one "Grandma" kind of made her feel like she was with her real one.
"Good morning," her grandmother greeted back with a sad smile.
A small frown played on Kira's lips as she noticed the sadness in her grandmother's tone and asked, "What's wrong?"
"It's nothing, Sweetie. We just had a burglary last night," her grandmother answered with the same tone as before.
"Oh my gosh! Really? What was stolen? Money? Inventory?" the brunette questioned with wide eyes.
"None of that. Someone just stole some things off the bulletin board."
"No way," Kira gasped out with her eyes wide and rushed to the bulletin board. Sure, the burglary wasn't as bad as she thought but most of the pictures on the bulletin board were of her and her friends.
When she reached the bulletin, she figured out her grandmother was right. Half of the pictures were missing but just the ones of Kira hanging out with Roxas and the rest of the gang.
"Seifer came by earlier and said that Roxas and his friends were going around stealing whatever had Roxas's face on it," her grandmother continued.
"That can't be possible, Grandma. Roxas and the others wouldn't do this. If anyone, it would have been Seifer and his goons."
"Now don't be like that, Sweetie. That's no way to talk about people."
"But, Grandma--."
"Hey, Kira."
The two stopped talking and looked outside to see Roxas waving with Hayner, Pence and Olette behind him.
"Hey, guys! What's up?"
"Being framed is what's up," Hayner scoffed and crossed his arms over his chest. "Seifer's going around saying we're thieves."
"Yeah, I heard about that," Kira told them. "So what are you guys going to do about it?"
"We're looking for the real thieves so we can clear our names," Roxas said. "But so far we have to clues on who it could be."
"Well there's nothing here except for what was stolen. Sorry," Kira said sadly. "Do you guys need help?"
"Sure. We need all the help we can get," Pence smiled.
"Is that okay, Grandma? Can I go with them?" she pleaded
"I don't kn.."
"Please," she begged.
"Fine," her grandmother sighed. "But come back soon. I don't want to be by myself for when the rush comes."
Kira jumped over the counter and ended up landing on Roxas. He was flat on his back while she was sitting sideways on his stomach.
"Oh, sorry, Roxas," she laughed nervously as their friends just laughed at her clumsiness.
She quickly got up and helped Roxas up also.
"Where should we look first?" Olette asked after the laughter had died down.
"I know I'm gonna dread saying it but I think we should talk to. . . Seifer. That would be a good place to start," Kira said, taking a long pause before Seifer's name.
"Fine. Let's just get this over with," Hayner grumbled as he did not like that plan but decided that Kira was right to start there since Seifer was the one to start the rumors.
And soon enough, they were at the sandlot where Rai, Vivi, and Fuu were gathered together.
Fuu pointed at the group and said, "Thieves."
"That was low, y'know?" Rai added with a hand in a fist.
"Yeah--" Hayner started to throw a comeback at them but Seifer walked to his "goons" and interrupted him.
"Nice comeback, blondie," he said.
"What'd you say?" Hayner said angrily.
"You can give us back the ----- now," Seifer continued, ignoring what Hayner had said.
"But they didn't take them," Kira told him. "Why would they steal their own pictures then?" she asked but then realized that she didn't know if her friends' ----- were stolen also. "They were stolen, right?" she asked her friends uneasily.
Roxas nodded his head without looking away from Seifer.
"They're the only ones who could've taken it, y'know?" Rai said not leaving his spot.
"That was undeniable proof that we totally owned you lamers," Seifer said and he started to circle the other five. "So what did you do? Burn it? Not that we need ----- that you're losers."
"But they didn't take anything!" Kira argued not letting the rest of her friends talk. She was determined that they wouldn't do such a thing.
Seifer took a couple steps closer to her with an angry look on his face.
"This is none of your business. Why don't you go back to your old granny's shop, Candy Girl?" he told her sternly.
"Not until their names are cleared, Hat Boy," she mocked back. Sure, "Hat Boy" wasn't quite the insult she had in mind but that was what she could come up with at the time.
"You can't talk to me like that. I'm the head of this town's disciplinary committee." Seifer took a step closer.
"It looks like I just did." Kira also took another step forward.
The two continued to glare at each other until Seifer began to laugh.
"I can't believe I was just about to get into a fight with a weakling like her," he continued to laugh.
"Hey!" Kira would have punched him right then and there but Roxas placed his hand on her shoulder to stop her. It was good that he did because she wasn't much of a fighter anyway. Her punch might seem like a tickle to Seifer.
"Replay," Fuu said making Seifer to stop laughing.
"Good idea," he said and got into battle mode along with the rest of his goons. "If you get on your knees and beg, I might let you slide this time."
Hayner and Roxas both pushed me back with Olette and Pence, who also weren't much fighters, and got ready fight with them. Then Roxas did something no one think he would do. He walked up to Seifer and his gang and kneeled down.
"Roxas!" his friends yelled out his name.
Seifer and his gang started to laugh, but they didn't expect Roxas to grab a struggle club and got ready to strike and neither did his friends.
"Go Roxas!" Kira cheered as Seifer and Roxas began to fight. "You can do it!"
Though things did not look to good for Roxas since Seifer seemed to be beating the crap out of him, Kira kept cheering just to try to keep his spirit up.
Then Roxas fell on his back from a hit from Seifer. Seifer lifted up his club readying the final strike as Roxas closed his eyes tightly waiting for it to come.
"Roxas!" his friends called out.
"Move, Roxas!" Kira screamed.
And that was exactly what he did. He got the motivation and moved right before Seifer could hit him. Roxas hit him, and Seifer fell down onto his knees. Roxas had won.
Rai and Fuu rushed in front of Seifer and did whatever they could to make Seifer seem tougher.
"Good job, Roxas," Kira congratulated and gave him a friendly hug. "That was awesome."
"Thanks," he said with a small blush.
Pence pulled out his camera and took a snapshot of Roxas and Kira in front of Seifer and his crew. Then this guy in a white jumpsuit suddenly appeared out of nowhere and stole his camera.
"What was that?" Hayner asked, shocked that something came and left that quickly.
"The thief!" Olette answered and everyone ran after. . . Uh it?
Roxas seemed to be way ahead of his friends since he was the fastest of the bunch. Hayner, Olette, and Pence then stopped because they got tired, but Kira kept going because she knew that the thief was no ordinary thief. She wasn't quite sure what it was but she definitely knew it wasn't anything human.
She followed Roxas as fast as she could through the Tram Common and through the woods before she could catch up to him. And the only reason why she did was because he had stopped.
Kira was at the exit of the woods when she saw Roxas trying to fight the thing with a Struggle Club. She was able to get a better look at whatever Roxas was fighting since it wasn't running away before and it was like Kira has never seen. It was very skinny with a pointed head and a zipper-closed mouth, literally. It's lips were actual zippers. It also had strange hands and feet; it didn't have fingers.
What attracted Kira's attention was the weird looking symbol on the top of it's head. It was like a pointed cross with an upside-down heart underneath it. It was strange for her especially because the cross looked a lot like Roxas's zipper on his jacket.
"Could it. . .? No way. That's a Nobody," Kira whispered, realizing what it was. "But DiZ said they weren't suppose to come," she continued worried about what was going to happen.
Suddenly, in Roxas's hand appeared a sword-like weapon in the shape of a key. Kira gasped when she saw it. "What the. . .? The Keyblade?"
Kira watched Roxas's battle amazed. He seemed he really knew what he was doing with the keyblade even though he doesn't remember what it was. It might be because of Struggle but who knows.
Soon enough, Roxas defeated the Nobody and the stolen pictures slowly fell to the ground. The keyblade then disappeared from his hands. He looked around to see where the Nobody went and then picked up a picture of him and his friends.
"Hey, Roxas? Are you okay?" he heard Kira ask from behind him. "That was a pretty tough fight."
"So I wasn't dreaming it?"
"No. That thing was real," she answered him and looked at the picture he was holding. "Hey, you have the photos. Let's go take them back before the people freak out even more," she continued with a humorous tone and helped Roxas pick up the rest of the pictures before racing to the hideout.
"What was that? You said that Nobodies won't be in there!" Kira yelled at the man behind the keyboard whose name is DiZ.
"I didn't say that," he told her while typing away at the keyboard.
"You sure implied it before," she said. And then in a deep tone, she quoted him, "'In here, nothing will be able to get in there without the use of the computer.'"
"Nobodies are nothing but a shell without a heart. They aren't real living things."
"They do too have hearts. Look at Roxas. He has actual feelings," she argued.
"No he doesn't. He just thinks he does. Those feelings are just memories of when he was a somebody," DiZ explained.
"You mean when he was Sora?"
"Exactly."
Kira couldn't do anything but let out frustrated scream before getting transported back into the computer.
Riku walked into the room in Ansem's body and a black cloak.
"Are you sure you should get her angry like that?" he asked Diz.
"Kira needed to know the truth about Nobodies and about their existence. It is not my problem if she can't accept that."
"But to get her mad like that?"
"No need to worry, Ansem. Kira will continue to do her job. Angry or not."
Riku just sighed, not quite believing DiZ and watched the different monitors.

The last two days have been strange for Roxas and his gang. First, Roxas said that some guy in a black jacket stole the beach money from him making his friends confused since they didn't see anyone and then second, Roxas ended up hanging out with Seifer instead of going to the beach with his friends like they had planned.
Of course Kira knew exactly what was going on. Riku had taken the money and Roxas battled a huge Nobody, not hung out with Seifer. Kira was feeling really horrible about lying and pretending to be clueless like everyone else. She couldn't help but feel horrible because she was lying. She was beginning to think that Diz's plan to get Sora back was a bad idea.
Now was the day of the Struggle match. People all around town gathered around in the Sandlot and cheered for their favorite competitor. Roxas, Hayner, Seifer, and Vivi all were in it and whoever won would verse the Struggle Champion, Setzer. And whoever is the winner receives the Four Crystal Trophy.
In the First Round, Roxas had to verse his best friend, Hayner. Roxas still seemed upset that Hayner was mad at him about the day before [the Seifer deal] but Hayner was never a one for holding grudges and the tension between the two ended.
The fight was really close but Roxas won. Hayner was upset but he got over it, leaving it up to Roxas to win that trophy. The gang made a promise that whoever won would split the prize evenly.
In the Second Round, it was Seifer versing Vivi. Why Vivi would enter a contest like this made no sense to anyone in town. He was never a fighter, just a follower. But strangely enough, he beat his own friend. Vivi had skill that no one had ever seen before.
"Wow," Pence said amazed.
"Yeah, and just think. Roxas has to verse him next," Hayner said just as amazed as Pence.
"That's going to be hard to beat," Olette added.
"But Roxas can do it," Kira said, getting her word in. "Right, Roxas?"
He looked at her and smiled, also giving her a nod before getting back into the arena.
"Good luck!" all his friends shouted in unison before the battle between Roxas and Vivi began.
This had to be the longest Struggle fight Kira had ever seen. First Vivi takes a few of Roxas's orbs, then Roxas takes some of his. Even though there was a time limit, it seemed that the watch broke considering how long the battle felt.
Suddenly, the air looked like as if it shimmied across town. Roxas stopped fighting and looked around and saw that everyone was still, like time had stopped.
"What?"
He looked at Vivi and noticed he was still moving.
"What's going on?"
Kira looked around, not getting what was going on. The only reason why something would stop if someone or something with power entered the program.
"Oh no," she gasped out and quickly climbed on the stage. "Roxas, we have to get out of here!" she told him as she grabbed his wrist.
"What's going on?" he repeated wanting answers. "Why did everyone stop?"
"I'll explain later. Right now. . ."
A bright foggy substance over took Vivi's body and he turned into a Nobody like the one that stole all the photos.
"Not again," Roxas said in annoyance and a keyblade appeared in his hands.
"We're too late," Kira said, cowering behind Roxas as a few more Nobodies showed up.
Roxas was able to defeat the Nobodies easily but something still wasn't right. Everyone still stood still.
"Where is it?" Kira asked more to herself then anyone as she searched around the area looking for the exact thing DiZ warned her to stay away from.
Out of no where, the two heard clapping from behind them, scaring them both. They turned around and saw a figure in the same black cloak that Riku wore.
"Roxas. Alright. Fight fight fight," the figure said in a cool tone as he made his way over to them.
Kira gave him a slight glare while Roxas looked at him quizzically.
"You really don't remember? It's me. You know, Axel," he introduced himself and pulled off his hood, revealing his bright green eyes and his fire-like spiked hair.
"Axel?" Roxas said, not changing his expression. Kira was still holding her glare.
"Talk about blank with a capital 'B,'" he said before he looked at Kira. "And you must be the cause of it."
"No, I'm not," she corrected him with no emotion.
"But you were helping him, right?" Axel asked her, summoning his weapons which were kind of like spiked wheels that were red and silver.
Kira didn't say anything to respond to that. She didn't want to.
"I thought so."
"Wait a sec. Tell me what's going on!" Roxas cut into their conversation.
"This town is his creation, right? Or is it hers?" he said referring 'her' as Kira. "Either way, we don't have time for a Q & A. You're coming with me, conscious or not. Then you'll hear the story."
The air shimmied again. "Uh oh."
Roxas looked at his keyblade and then threw it down hard on the ground.
"What's going on!?" he yelled, making Kira jump. She had never seen him angry before. It scared her.
Without it wanting to, the keyblade reappeared in his hands.
"Number 13. Roxas. The Keyblade's chosen one," Axel spoke as if he was reading down a list.
Roxas looked at his keyblade again and then glared at Axel as he got ready to fight. "Fine. You asked for it."
He looked over his shoulder slightly and said, "Kira, get away."
Kira nodded and ran off the ring and stood next to her frozen friends.
The fight then begun between Roxas and Axel. As they fought, Axel would mention things that Roxas should remember but doesn't. So Roxas gets angry from confusion and fights harder. Kira watched from the sidelines in hope nothing Axel says triggers Roxas's memories but a part of her hopes that he does remember. . . But why?
Right in the middle of the battle, someone had come in and interrupted it. DiZ.
"No," Kira whispered in fear. If he came in, nothing good was going to happen.
"So it was you," Axel confirmed his suspicions. His weapons spun in his hands and fire started to surround them as he threw them at DiZ. Too bad for him that his weapons flew right threw DiZ.
"Roxas, this man speaks nonsense," DiZ tried to convince the blonde boy.
"Roxas, don't let him deceive you," Axel told him for his argument.
With these to talking to Roxas like this was going to make him confused and angry, and Kira knew that. She wanted to join the argument and tell him to ignore them both but that would anger him more and DiZ wouldn't be too pleased about it either.
Roxas put his hands on his head, as if he had a major headache, and said, "Kira. . . Hayner. . . Pence. . . Olette. . ."
As he said that, the air started to shimmy but the two men didn't stop calling out Roxas's name.
"Kira! Hayner! Pence! Olette!" he called out and the cheering of the crowd was heard through his ears instead of the two men's.
Kira looked around and saw that both DiZ and Axel were both gone, and she felt relieved. She knew she would be receiving a lecture from DiZ later that night for letting Axel into the computer but it wasn't her fault. She told him she wasn't a fighter. Now she just hoped that Axel didn't come back, at least, for a while.
Roxas ended up winning the Struggle match between him and Vivi but it was strange considering Vivi doesn't remember anything. No one really cared though because Roxas was going to verse Setzer. Roxas seemed a bit out of it though. He just continued to stare into space. When he was oout of the ring, his friends tried to get his attention.
"Roxas?" Hayner waved his hands in front of his friend's face.
When that didn't work, Kira decided to take it in her own hands, literally. She seized his shoulders and started to shake him back and forth.
"Roxas! Wake up!" she yelled and he came back to earth.
"What?" he asked.
"It's starting," Olette told him. "Your Struggle battle with Setzer."
"Oh right," he said, still a little dazed and walked onto the ring.
Many girls fell head over heals for Setzer but really he had a bad attitude problem and only thought of himself. He wanted Roxas to throw the fight probably so that he didn't look like a fool when he lost to a teenager. At least that was what Kira thought when she overheard those two talking. Roxas ended up winning that battle with Setzer, becoming the new Struggle Champion.
"Roxas!" his friends exclaimed and ran onto the ring to congratulate him.
"You did it!"
"That was awesome, Roxas!"
His friends told him and he got a little embarrassed from the attention. "Thanks," he told them, nervously rubbing his head.
The mayor of Twilight Town gave Roxas the Four Crystal Trophy and the Champion's belt for the prize. Then the five of them headed to the Candy Shop for some Sea-Salt Ice cream. When they got there, the crowd from the sandlot was now in line for ice cream.
"Man, look at that line," Hayner said. "It's going to take forever."
"We can come back later when the crowd dies down," Olette suggested and everyone agreed.
They started to walk towards the clock tower but Roxas stopped, realizing Kira wasn't following. He turned around to see her continuing to stand in the same spot she was in, staring at the shop.
"Aren't you coming, Kira?" he asked as he approached her.
A small apologetic smile appeared on her lips as she said, "No, I can't. I have to help my grandma. This is way too many people for her liking."
"Okay, well here," he said as he broke off a blue crystal from the statue and handed it to her. "Take this. We promised to split the prize. Remember?"
"Yeah," her smile got wider. "Thanks, Roxas. I'll see you later," she said and started to walk to the shop.
About when she was half way there, she stopped in her tracks and looked at the blue crystal that was still in her hands. She put it between her index finger and her thumb and held it up to the setting sun.
Another smile appeared on her face but soon disappeared when she remembered all the lies she has told to Roxas. She really did hate lying to him but what else could she do? She promised to help bring back Sora, and she never takes back her word. But she also never went against her feelings either.
Her feet moved on their own as she began to run towards the clock tower where her friends were headed. It didn't take her long to catch up to them but when she did, she called out Roxas's name.
"Roxas!"
Roxas turned around and gave her a confused look as he walked towards her leaving Hayner, Pence, and Olette where they were at.
"What are you doing here?" he asked. "I thought you had to help your grandma."
"I do," she told him. "But I have to do something."
"What?"
She took his hand with one hand and with the other, she placed the blue orb he had just given her. He continued to stare at it in confusion as she dropped her hands to her side.
"Why are you--?" Roxas began to ask, looking up at her, but she made a signal telling him to stop.
"Keep this as a reminder of me." She smiled softly.
"I don't get it."
"I don't either. Just keep it, okay?"
He gave her a small nod, still not understanding the situation. She gave him a hug before running down the street to the Tram Common.
Roxas didn't move from his spot and stared intently at the blue crystal orb in his hand. Why would Kira give it back? And why was she acting so strange? He couldn't put the pieces of this strange puzzle of a life he has together.
"What was that about?" Pence asked as he watched Kira's figure getting smaller and smaller.
Roxas didn't answer his friend. Instead, he held the crystal tightly in his hand and said, "Let's get to the clock tower before the sun sets."
"Can we please tell him what's going on?" Kira whined to DiZ. She didn't return to the shop like Roxas and the others had thought. She left the program to talk to the man in charge. "He's getting so upset. Can we at least tell him who he is?"
"That is out of the question," DiZ told her sternly. "Like I've told you. Nobodies are no one. They are not suppose to exist. And stop acting like Roxas has emotions. He has no heart."
"He has a right to know what's going on with him," she argued.
"Nobodies have no rights."
"Yes they do!"
"Am I interrupting something?"
DiZ and Kira looked towards the door to see Riku there. He was leaning up against the doorframe tossing a familiar blue crystal orb. Kira's eyes widened as she saw the orb bounce up and down.
"Where'd you get that?!" she yelled, pointing at what was in his hand.
"This?" Riku asked holding it up. "From Roxas. Of course, he doesn't know I have it, but. . ."
"But nothing! That's his! Give it to me!" she continued to yell and tried to snatch it from his hands. Luckily he was tall enough to hold the crystal in the air and she couldn't reach it even when she jumped. "Why would you take that from him?"
"Why are you so worked up about it?" he asked in a mocked tone.
She glared at him, waiting for his answer to his question but quickly gave up and stormed out of the room.
"Are you sure you should get her angry like that?" DiZ asked in a mocked tone of what Riku said just a couple days ago.
Meanwhile, Kira stormed out of the secret lab hidden in the library of the mansion and walked through the door that was across the room. The room she walked into was completely white with drawings all over the place. On the walls. On the table. Even on the floor.
Kira saw a girl with blonde hair her age in a white sundress drawing in a sketchbook. The girl's name was Namine. She was a Nobody, like Roxas, but she was different. She can rearrange the links in Sora's memory and make him forget almost anything. She was what was helping Sora regain his memories that she had taken from him.
"Namine?" Kira said in a soft whisper, hoping that her voice wouldn't scare her. "I think I want to help you."
Namine's attention was now away from her drawing and was at Kira.
"I think I want to save Roxas."
A smile appeared on Namine's lips as she nodded her head. Namine, a couple days ago, tried to tell Roxas who he was and tried to explain to him that he was a somebody but Riku came and took her away. She may just want to tell him that he won't disappear after he is a part of Sora but she doesn't want to do anything else more drastic. Kira had another plan in mind.
After all the guilt that had built up in her, she finally wanted to do something that was not an order from someone else. She wanted to save Roxas so that he didn't disappear at all. . . so that he was his own person. She didnt want him to be a part of Sora.
You can say that Kira was starting to fall for Roxas and that was true. She was falling for him and falling hard. That was why she gave back the orb. Kira might get caught while trying to help him and had to stay away from him. That was why she told him to keep it as a reminder of her just incase she couldn't see him ever again.
She and Namine may not have the same definition of the phrase "save Roxas" but their ideas are along the same line. Namine's are for him to understand that he won't disappear; Kira's are to show him that he has choices. Namine wanted to help Sora but she understood how Roxas and Kira have grown attached to each other.
Namine stood up from her seat and held her hands behind her back. "Let's get started."

Kira hadn't been seen by her friends the whole day and they were starting to wonder where she was. She was suppose to work on her summer paper for school with them but she never came to meet them. Roxas and the gang decided to start without her to study the Seven Wonders of Twilight Town and hoped that they will meet up with her later.
As Roxas explored Sunset Terrace with his friends, he began to wonder if this is what she meant from the day before.
"Keep this as a reminder of me."
He reached into his pocket to pull out the small blue orb but couldn't find it. He just sighed heavily and placed his hands deep in his pockets as he continued to 'research' the Wonders.
"Let's all split up," Hayner told the rest of his friends. "Pence can check the alleyway, Olette will check the fountain, and Roxas will check the tunnel."
"Then what will you be doing?" Pence asked him.
"I'll be right here collecting the information you give me," he said with a winning smile.
"Great," Olette said sarcastically before everyone split up.
Roxas slowly made his way to the tunnel, kicking an imaginary rock after every other step. Once he made it inside the tunnel, he saw Vivi inside practicing with a Struggle bat. Then Vivi multiplied and Roxas used his keyblade to defeat them all.
"What is going on here?" he asked to particularly no one after defeating the last Vivi.
His keyblade disappeared and he began to make his way back out of the tunnel but a voice made him stop.
"Roxas!" the voice screamed from behind him.
Recognizing the voice right away, he quickly turned around and saw a familiar blonde run out of another tunnel leading to where he was.
"Kira?"
"I knew I'd find you here," she said rather quickly as she approached him. As she spoke, she was breathing heavily so it was obvious she had been running for a while. "Roxas, we have to go."
"I know. Our paper isn't even done yet," Roxas said. "Hayner, Pence and Olette are getting information for the other--."
"No. That's not what I meant."
"Then what do you mean?"
"We have to leave this place before he finds out what we're doing," she told him and gripped onto one of his hands with both of hers and started to drag him to where she came in from.
"What are you talking about?" he asked following her lead.
"This is the only way," she said softly. "The only way to stay here."
"What?"
"Don't you get it, Roxas?" Kira yelled, suddenly stopping. "You are not who you think you are. This place is not what you think it is. What you're living is a lie. Hayner's a lie. Olette's a lie. Pence's a lie. Even I'm a lie."
Roxas had his jaw dropped, speechless. He couldn't believe what was coming out of his best friend's mouth, even if he couldnt understand what she was trying to say.
"This place we're in is just a digital projection, or a copy of the real Twilight Town. A projection I helped make to help him with his revenge problems. But I don't want to help him anymore. He's too caught up in his work and too ignorant to what I say," Kira continued to babble on. Even she knew she wasn't making sense but she didn't feel that she had much control of her mouth at the moment.
"I know I'm not making much sense right now, Roxas, but I don't have much time," she spoke her thoughts as she began to look around, hoping that Riku wasn't going to come anytime soon.
"Much time? Can you--." Roxas was cut off by a pair of lips covering his.
"That should keep you quiet for a second," she said after taking a deep breath. She couldn't believe she just did that herself but she didn't have time to go to dreamland, much like what Roxas was in now. "Now you're going to have a choice."
"Kira," a deep voice spoke her name, sending chills up both hers and Roxas's spines.
Kira looked behind her and saw Riku standing there. She let out a small relieving sigh knowing that it was him instead of DiZ. Either way she was going to be taken from Roxas.
Oh no!
"Roxas, listen to me. You have to cho--." She wasn't able to finish her sentence because Riku had seized her from behind and started to pull her away from him.
"Hey! Let go of her!" Roxas demanded and tried to get Kira free from Riku.
"It's okay, Roxas, you can let go. Just listen to me," she told him though he continued to pull her away from Riku's grasp. "You just have to choose. Either to be him or. . . to be with me."
After hearing Kira's last four words, Roxas let go, just like she said, and stared right into her blue eyes. Before he could say another word, Riku took Kira away through his dark smoky portal and left Roxas by himself in the tunnels.

Kira glumly strolled around Twilight Town with nothing else better to do. And no, she was not in the Alternate Twilight Town. She was back in the real Twilight Town, with real people, real friends, real everything.
After Riku had taken her away from Roxas the day before, he took her to DiZ who just fired her and told her to never come near the mansion until the mission was complete. This was so Kira wouldn't interfere anymore with Roxas's decision. It wasn't really any use to tell her to do so anyway since Namine was a little more convincing than Kira had hoped for. Roxas became "whole" again meaning he was now "inside" Sora, as some people might say. Kira was sad that that was Roxas's decision but at least he was happy.
She walked slowly around town with no destination what so ever. She just stared at the ground and surprisingly she didn't bump into anybody. At least, not yet.
She suddenly bumped into someone, making her fall down onto the brick road.
"I'm sorry," the voice of who she bumped into said and held his hand out to her.
"No, it's my fault. I wasn't watching where I was. . ." Kira looked up and saw a boy with brown spiky hair and clothes that seemed too small for him. But for a split second, she thought she saw someone else. "Going."
She took his hand and stood up. "I'm Kira."
"I'm Sora. And these are my friends Donald and Goofy," the boy introduced himself and his friends who Kira just noticed the duck and the dog behind him.
"It's very nice to meet you," she said politely then looked closely at him. "Do I know you from somewhere?"
"No. We just got here," Goofy answered for Sora.
"Oh." Kira nodded her head, showing that she understood before something came right at her like a ton of bricks. "Wait! You're Sora!"
"Yeah? Why?" the boy looked at her quizzically.
"Oh no reason," she answered coolly. She reached down into her pocket and pulled out a small crystal orb out of her pocket. Riku had given it to her right before she was banned from the mission. "Just can you keep a hold of this. I'm sure this will come in handy one day." Kira handed the blue crystal to him. "I'll see you three later. Bye!" she said her farewells before running off.
"Hold on, Kira!" Sora called out for her and ran up to her.
"Yeah?"
He took her hand and placed the orb back in her hand. He smiled at her and Sora was no longer Sora. Instead of Sora, Kira saw Roxas smiling at her.
"Keep this as a reminder of me," she heard Roxas's voice say to her before any trace of him was left and Sora was in his place.
A small smile grazed upon her lips as she nodded her head. "Thanks."
"Bye!"
When Sora was out of sight, Kira looked at the orb in her hand and the smile became wider.
"Thanks. . . Roxas."
