Underbrush [1] Kabuto Love Story

Kabuto was startled. He didn't want to make a fool of himself by asking her to, well, fight a little. Lie to the boss that she put up a fight. But all the same; if it was that easy... Wouldn't the lord be a lot less depressed? "Fine. It's a while away from here. Do you need anything?"

"No," Aurora said. She really didn't. Some lucky theives would come steal her stuff someday; and she'd be proud to hand it over. Some people needed a push of luck. But she had a sense that where she was headed... Everything she needed was there.

Kabuto pushed his glasses up again. "You can't be serious. Are you human?" he joked. "You're a freaking girl. Don't you have to go get your barbies or something?" He smirked and started attaching his waterskin to his waist.

Aurora got up next to him and paused so that they were facing different directions. "I might ask the same thing of you..." She smirked. Aurora started walking on the trail. From here, there were two ways to go: to the village, and elsewhere. "Hurry up, before I change my mind."

He walked slowly, not letting her remarks hurt his stride. At least she had a sense of humour.
