Now that I've lost you it kills me to say
I've tried to hold on as you've slowly slipped away
I'm losing the fight, I've treated you so wrong now let me make it right
Parker listened from the sidestage as A7X finished up their show with their new single from the new
album dropping the day before Halloween. The release date was barely two weeks away and she was excited
for the band.
It was their best work yet and they all knew it. Even if the oldschool fans hated the new album it made
no difference; they were making the music they loved and they were happy with the finished
product.
Preorders had already catapulted the album sales to over 50,000 within one week. And the numbers were
still climbing. Media reviews were 50/50 on the good/bad scale but beginning to lean more towards the
good side.
So far all was going well for them. It was like everything was finally coming together for the band and
they were living the life they had always dreamed of. Matt and Val were finally engaged with their
wedding date set for early spring of next year. Jimmy and Leana were planning to tie the knot not long
afterwards back in NorCal.
Life was good.
The guys walked off the sidestage with grins on their faces; the crowd cheering for an encore. Johnny
ran straight for Parker and wrapped his arms around her tightly. He let go only for a moment so he could
lock his lips to hers in a passionate display of affection.
Zacky and Jimmy looked back over their shoulders and chuckled to themselves. Johnny finally unglued his
lips from hers and stared into her eyes with a soft smile on his face.
"You're not going to lick my face, are you?" She asked with a hint of playful fear in her eyes.
"No." He replied, slightly confused
"Good, because that's just gross." Parker stated with a laugh as she linked her arm with Johnny's and
followed the rest of the band to the rental van.
"PARTAAAAAAAAAAAY!" Jimmy screamed, both arms up in the air. Leana rolled her eyes and climbed into the
back of the van with her fiance slapping her ass as he followed suit.
Once everyone had piled into the car Syn started up the engine and started off down the road towards
their favorite bar. It was nice to finally be back in Huntington after the months and months they had
spent in the recording studio.
When they had finally arrived and parked in the back they all piled out and straightened out their
clothes. Leana quickly checked her reflection in the mirror to make sure her and Jimmy's quicky game of
tonsil hockey hadn't messed up her makeup.
"Whose ready for some fuuuuuuuuuuun?" Val yelled out as she grabbed Matt's hand and pulled him in
through the back door.
The bar was fashioned like an old school biker hangout. It was the one and only bar in Huntington that
was actually worth going to anymore. Johnny's Booze and Pool. Good times happened here.
"Rye and coke times two." Val said to the bartender as everyone else grabbed a table by the karaoke
stage. Screw everyone else; karaoke is still the coolest game ever. If you can call it a
game...
Zacky took everyone's orders except for Johnny's and Parker's and left the table to fetch the drinks.
Val came back with hers and Matt's drinks in those cheap, plastic cups you would only find in a classic
Californian bar.
"Johnnaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay?" Parker asked obnoxiously. Johnny chuckled as he turned his head to look up at
her.
"Yes, m'love?"
"What do you want to driiiiiiiiink?" She continued, but this time in a sing-song voice.
"Um... Molson." He answered. She smiled and Johnny pulled her down for a quick kiss before she walked
away to order their drinks.
"You're whipped." Jimmy said from across the table.
"I am not!" Johnny stated defensively, his smile turning into a slightly sour glare.
"Jimbo, leave the little shit alone." Matt said.
"Thanks," Johnny stated sarcastically as he leaned back in his chair and looked over at the bar. Parker
was leaning over the edge talking to one of the bartenders while he was making someone else's
drink.
Parker high-fived the bartender as he handed her two bottles of Molson Canadian. When she got to the
table she quickly set one bottle down and walked right past them to the small stage a few feet away. She
tapped the microphone to make sure it was on and proceeded to take a long swig of her beer.
"OKAY EVERYONE! Listen up." She began with the microphone out of it's stand. "Apparently it's been a
while since anyone's gotten up on this fucking stage here and sung a little old school rock and
roll!"
The crowd erupted into cheers and Parker raised her bottle in a somewhat trashy toast. Customers all
around the bar raised their glasses and cat calls rang out all around.
"Well, tonights the night I bring this fucking place back to life! So let's drink, fuck, fight, and have
some fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun!"
With a smile on her face, and one on the faces of everyone else in the bar, she motioned to the
bartender she was previously talking to and Joan Jett's 'I Love Rock And Roll' started playing
through the old speakers in the corner.
"I saw him dancin' there by the record machine.
I knew he must've been about seventeen.
The beat was goin' strong; playin' my favorite song.
And I could tell it wouldn't be long
'til he was with me, yeah me, singin'
I love rock n' roll,
so put another dime in the jukebox baby.
I love rock n' roll,
so come and take your time and dance with me.
He smiled so I got up and asked for his name.
'That don't matter,' he said, 'cause it's all the same.'
Said 'can I take you home where we can be alone?'
And next we were movin' on.
He was with me, yeah me.
Next we were movin' on.
He was with me, yeah me, singin'
I love rock n' roll,
so put another dime in the jukebox baby.
I love rock n' roll,
so come and take your time and dance with me.
Said 'can I take you home where we can be alone?'
And we'll be movin' on and singing that same old song.
Yeah, with me, singin'
I love rock n' roll,
so put another dime in the jukebox baby.
I love rock n' roll,
so come and take your time and dance with me."
The crowd broke out with cheers and cat calls and god only knows what else. Parker put the mic back in
it's stand and took a quick bow before walking off the stage and back to the table. She sat down on
Johnny's lap and finished off her beer before planting a frisky kiss on his lips.
Val and Matt snuck out from the table and ran onstage without anyone even noticing. Matt whispered into
the one bartender's ear before grabbing a second mic from the side of the stage and plugging it in. He
stood beside Val, hand in hers, and cleared his throat.
"This one goes out to all of the kids out there in this fucking bar tonight who are in love."
Matt screamed to the crowd. Everyone cheered and another round of drinks were ordered as Matt and Val
began their "I Got You, Babe" duet.
"They're perfect." Parker said in amazement as she stared up at them in awe. Their love was so radient
and so powerful, it filled the room with a sense of well-being.
Johnny simply smiled at her and leaned his head on her shoulder, whispering the lyrics along in her ear.
When the two lovebirds had finally finished their duet, Johnny slipped out from under Parker and walked
up to the stage.
Jimmy boo'ed him as loud as he could and Brian smacked him upside the head in protest. Johnny grinned as
Jimmy sat in his seat rubbing the back of his head.
"Don't worry, guys. I'm not going to sing." He announced as he walked back towards the table with the
microphone in hand.
"What the fuck are you doing then, Johnnaaaay?" Parker teased.
"I love you. Always have and always will. And I don't think i'll ever stop loving you. And I hate
it when you're not around. I hate going to be alone. I hate waking up without you beside me. I hate
being onstage without you cheering me on from the sidelines. I hate everything that does not involve
you."
Everyone at the table grinned knowingly as everyone else around the bar ooh'ed and aww'ed at Johnny's
words. Parker smiled up at him, her cheeks turning a darker shade of red every minute.
"Parker." Johnny said as he got down on one knee and produced a small box from his back pant pocket. He
opened it to reveal a gorgeous white gold ring with a hefty sized diamond placed perfectly on top.
Parker gasped and covered her mouth with one hand as her eyes began to water. "Will you marry
me?"
She couldn't believe her eyes or ears. The tears welled up in her eyes until they let themselves run
down her cheeks. She let her hand fall to her sides and opened her mouth to speak but nothing would come
out.
Johnny looked up at her hopefully as she struggled to clear her nose and her throat. She took his one
hand in hers and wiped the tears from her eyes.
"Fuckin' rights I will!" She managed to choke out as she slipped down to her knees and wrapped her arms
around her soon-to-be husband. The whole bar erupted in a wave of cheers, Johnny's bandmates whistling
in approval.
They broke apart and Johnny took her hand in his, placing the ring on her ring finger. She studied it
for a moment before looking directly into Johnny's eyes and whispered 'I love you' to him. She
pressed her lips against his and wrapped her arms around his shoulders once again.
They held each other on the floor for what seemed like an eternity, never wanting to let go. Parker now
knew that her view on life had always been wrong.
Love always wanted her, but could never find the right path.
I give my heart to you, I give my heart 'cause nothing can compare in this world to you.

I like this picture. Alot. So it's staying up for this. Boo hoo. (No, for once i'm not actually lazy I just love the picture, OKAY!?)
