'...."It's nothing"....
Man that word is so troublesome. "Nothing" What is nothing? Well nothing is nothing first off. According to the reflexive property, one thing always equals itself. Example: a=a or in this case nothing=nothing.
But I already know that nothing is nothing, everyone knows that. An idiot knows that, and being a 'genius' of course I know that too.
The problem is...nothing also is something. That is why nothing is just such a drag. It just has to be so complicated.
Nothing is something. If you are doing nothing then you are doing something because you ARE doing nothing. Nothing is a word, an idea, therefore something. You can't touch nothing but nothing still is something. Gah! So troublesome.
O and then there is the fact that nothing is reflexive but isn't symmetric. Nothing=something but then something ≠ nothing. If you are holding something then of course you can't be holding nothing because you have something in your hand. So then something IS NOT nothing but nothing IS something.
So then it is concluded that nothing really is something.
That also means that when she says nothing is wrong, SOMETHING is obviously wrong...'

"Why is it all so troublesome?" Shikamaru asked himself as he glared at the clouds above him as the thoughts continued in his head.
He moved his eyes from the clouds towards the usually occupied area next to him. But it was unoccupied like it had been for the past couple of days which was really making everything a drag.
And just because the area was empty, life was becoming more and more complicated which was not what he was asking for.
"Why can't it just be like normal? Where everything was simple and nothing had to be changed? Change can be so troublesome," he said to himself as he pictured her body lying there with her sparkling green eyes closed in peace. Her blonde hair fanned out around her head, sort of like a miniature sun. He could picture her laughing at him as he continued to think too hard about one thing.
But then an image or her face with a pink tint to it came to his mind.
It was the day that he first saw that pink tint on her face that everything became troublesome.
She began avoiding him after that day. She wouldn't look at him with those happy eyes anymore. And the spot she usually occupied when they watched the clouds together had become cold in her absence. He would always asked what was wrong but her answers kept being "It's nothing."
After a week of "nothing," that word was really becoming a drag.
"What happened Akira?" he asked as he looked at her normal spot.
Even this genius, the boy that could beat anyone in Go or Shogi and could think of thousands of strategies in only a couple seconds, couldn't fathom what was wrong.
He and Akira had always been best friends since they were little. She had found him one day playing Go by himself so she asked is she could join. Akira lost of course but that didn't stop them from become friends. Becoming best friends really.

Shikamaru was brought out of his thoughts when he heard feet walking on the street nearby.
He lazily turned his half open eyes towards the source and they immediately widened when the noticed the bright green eyes.
He could feel his heart speeding faster in happiness that Akira might actually be coming to see him. To make things go back normal and not so troublesome.
He didn't even notice himself smiling at the possibility until a frown came back onto his face as she walked by without a glance in his direction.
It only took for a moment for him to decide that now he was going to figure out what "nothing" really was.
"Akira!" he called out, jumping to his feet and running towards her with energy that no one had seen in him before.
He noticed her body freeze as he called her name and she didn't even turn around.
His heart started beating faster, the closer he got to her, almost as if even his heart decided to be full of energy for the moment.
Shikamaru stopped to stand in front of Akira, looking down at her face that was intently looking at the ground a little to the right. That light pink hue' whose immergence started this stupid problem of "nothing," was on her cheeks like every time he saw her.
"Um...Hi," he started, trying to maker her at least say something in return. To his disappointment, the only reaction he got was a small fake smile that quickly turned back into a small emotionless line.
"What's up?" Shikamaru asked her
"Nothing," Akira responded. A growl could be heard in Shikamaru's head when she said that. He was starting to wish that that word had never been created. It was just to troublesome for anything.
"What's wrong?" he asked her for maybe the millionth time and for the millionth time
"Nothing..."
This time, his growl came from his mouth, showing her his displeasure of the word. He had heard it far too many times to want to hear it again. Nothing is something and he was determined to figure what that something is.
He swiftly grabbed her chin in his left hand and forced her head to face him. He growled again as her eyes continued to look at the corner and that pink tint became even darker.
"Something is wrong so just tell me already," he said. He leaned his face closer towards her with a small glare and took his unoccupied hand to grab her hand.
Once again Akira's face grew pinker, but the strange thing was Shikamaru felt his face become warm. Almost as if he was...blushing?
His frown deepened at the new feeling and his eyes became unfocused as he began to think again.
He was blushing just like Akira had been doing for the past week. He could see the pink tint across his cheeks from his reflection from her questioning eyes that were looking at him for the first time in days.
Now the question was why he was blushing. He wasn't blushing for "nothing" like Akira's normal excuse. He was obviously blushing for something. So what was that something?
Was he embarrassed? Too hot? Shikamaru mentally shook his head at the first two options. That wasn't the something.
Was he crushing on Akira?
He looked back into her soft, confused green eyes, to see the color still on his cheeks. People always blush around people they like. That has been a known fact.
Was that why she began to blush around him recently? Is that the reason why he was blushing now?
Shikamaru's brain flashed through all the hints, symbols, from Akira's problem of "nothing." He realized each thing pointed towards the fact that she actually liked him.
Now he was just confused on why she kept saying "It's Nothing." Liking someone isn't 'nothing,' it is something important definitely if it is towards your best friend. Akira had always told Shikamaru when something was wrong and she always answered him until now.
Maybe she was afraid that she would get nothing. Maybe Akira was afraid that Shikamaru didn't like her too. But he did. The blush on his face was the thing that finally got his mind to understand what he had really been feeling before.
Shikamaru's eyes became focused again and his frown became a small smile as he looked into Akira's eyes again.
"You know love isn't nothing," he murmured as he moved closer to her and pulling her face closer to his at the same time.
A small gasp escaped Akira's lips right before their lips met together in a soft kiss.
She began kissing back and Shikamaru could see the blush disappearing through his half open eyes.
Slowly they pulled back from the kiss and looked into each other's eyes, both of which held a sparkle the two had never seen before.
"Love is defiantly something..." he whispered before he brought their lips together again.
