Number three, my peeplies.

"No more tours, Jake. Not after last night. We don't know if she'll try the same thing."
"I'm telling you, she didn't know. Jordan acted alone!" Jordan? What happened to Jordan?
"You don't know that for sure."
"Yes I DO!" Jake shouted. Jake? Why was he in my cell? Who was he talking to? The voice sounded vaguley familiar, but I couldn't put a face to it.
"No more." And a door slammed. Thinking quickly, I kept my eyes shut and mumbled quietly in mock sleep. Jake sighed heavily. There was silence, then the bed jumped as Jake plunked down onto it with a painful squeeeak. Without looking, I could see him frowing, the prominent lines around his mouth deepening. I knew he had his head in his hands. I struggled to think what I should seem like, being asleep. I shifted a little, and could feel Jake's eyes on me. Had I made the wrong move? He'd probably seen me sleeping before. Did I move in my sleep? I had no idea. My muscles tightened unintentionally as Jakes arm brushed mine. I tried to relax myself, seem... well, unconcsious. I felt Jakes hand on my head, and realized he was brushing my hair back from my face. I kept my mouth relaxed, and waited a few minutes, then realized I wasn't waiting for anything that would happen while I was asleep. What did I expect Jake to do? Start talking to himself? Tell the walls what Jordan did? I guessed Jake was trying to think of a way to tell me what was going on before awakening me, or else just watching me sleep. Doubting it was the latter, impatience settled in and no matter how hard I tried to fight it, I knew it would win. Surrendering, I pretended to wake up, stretching and yawning groggily. I reached up and wiped invisible sleep from my eyes, then opened them slowly. I jumped, not to in fake surprise but real, because Jake's face was hovering inches from mine. I yelped, rolling away from him to face the wall. Then I sat up, and looked over at him, clutching my heart. What in the... was there something on my face? Why was he oogling me?
"Hi, Jake," I murmured sleepily. Jakes eyebrows rose, and I knew at once I had chosen the wrong words. Jake knew me too well. I shook my head vigourously, probably resembling a wet dog. Then I frowned.
"And what do you want?" Jake smiled.
"That's the Ryan I know," he said, laughing. He reached for my hand, but I jerked it back.
"What do you want?" I repeated. Jake's smile faltered, but he recovered quickly.
"Nothing, really, just came to say hello!" he exclaimed, throwing up his arms.
"You're lying," I hissed, very softly, barely letting him utter his last words. I had scooted to the edge of the bed, but now I was standing. I turned to face him. Jake was still sitting on the bed. He shook his head.
"No, I mean it. How are you?" I felt my hands ball into fists. It took all I had not to lash out and strangle him.
"Same as I was yesterday. Trapped. Now why are you really here?" I kept my voice low, intimidating.
"I told you why. To see how you are." Jake smiled, but was fidgeting uncomfortably.
"Liar," I whispered. He wasn't going to tell me. Surely that's why him and... my mind went blank for a few seconds. Stull. He had been talking to Stall, right in front of my sleeping form. Stull had been IN my ROOM, watching me sleep.
"What happened to my sister?" I asked. Jake rose his eyebrows.
"What do you mean? Nothing happened to Jordan," he said. He may be able to fool other people, but I could tell he was lying.
"What. Happened. To my sister?" I asked again. Jake shook his head.
"She's fine, what are you talking about?" He was obviously nervous now.
"WHAT HAPPENED TO JORDAN?" I shouted, sincerely hoping that noone was listening (if Stull knew I had been listening in on him, my eavesdropping chances on him would be shot), but at the moment this was more important. Jake started twiddling his thumbs.
"Nothing-" I lunged. My hands hit him hard in the chest, and he fell back, sprawling on the bed. I flew over his shoulders and recoiled, twisting to push off of the wall with my feet. Just as Jake was struggling to sit back up, I pressed down hard on his shoulders and he hit the bed again. I pulled myself around and straddled Jake, knees on either side of his chest, pinning him. My hands flew to his throat.
"Take a deep breath," I snarled, and tightened my grip. Jake gasped for air, grabbing at my wrists, feet flailing. I pressed his neck to the bed hard, pressing all my weight into keeping him down.
"Gonna talk?" I asked. Jakes eyes were bulging and he half nodded frantically. I let go of him, but didn't remove myself from over him. His hands flew instinctivley and automatically to his neck, cupping it, panting.
"I'm now stupid, Jake," I said menacingly, looking down at him, "Now tell me what's going on. What's happened to Jordan?" I kept my voice as monotone as possible. Jake shook his head, then blocked his head with his arms as I readied for another pounce.
"Woah, woah, woah! Calm down!" he screeched. I obligingly slid from him and took a few steps backwards. He sat up, rubbing his lower back. He looked up at my like I was completely insane and he had to choose his words carefully.
"Jordan is perfectly fine- not harmed, not injured," Jake informed me, standing. The bed groaned in protest. I rolled my eyes, exasperated.
"What did she DO?" I questioned for the umpteenth time. Jake bit his lip nervously, obviously reluctant.
"She... she tried to break out last night," he mumbled. I gaped at him, dumbfounded. I was sure my mouth was hanging open most unattractivley. Jordan tried to break out? Without me? No... No! It was impossible! I wouldn't believe it. I couldn't.
"Y-you're lying! Jordan w-would never-"
"She did," Jake interupted. I bit back a sharp retort. There was no use arguing with him. Why would Jake come into my room and tell me this, pulling Winsloe Stull into it, if it were not true? I had to find out what happened.
"Where is she? Is she okay? What did they do to her? Is she hurt?" I sputtered, desperate for answers. Jake grabbed my shoulders, firm but gentle.
"She's alright. They've... they've put her into isolation," Jake stated. I stared at him in disbelief, then realized I had no idea what isolation was. He caught my confusion, and explained that isolation was a solid concrete room, about 5 square feet. Definitley not for the clausterphobic. Unfortunatley, I had no idea if Jordan was. They would have her chained to a seat in the middle of the room, bound by ankles and wrists. Them being the big bad guys of the magical community, the Pilots weren't very creative. She would be left there with no contact to the outside world, or what we considered it to be, and without food or water.
"If it's your first offense, you stay for forty eight hours. By the third time, you're in for weeks. They crack down pretty hard on attempted escapees." I nodded briskly, noting Jake's sympathy.
"So, they'll let her back out in two days?" I asked. He had made this painfully clear, but I had to be sure. This was my sister we were talking about, I was worried about her. Jake shrugged helpfully. I tried to read his expression, but it was like deciphering hieroglyphics.
"They should." Simple, but enough to tell me that Jordan would probably be locked up for longer than the appointed time. It was definitley time to take action. I had no doubt about that.
"Will you come by and let me know when she's out?" I was sure he would, but I thought I'd ask.
"Of course, but why? You're not allowed to see her anymore." Jake said this with such nonchalance that it seemed like it was ridiculous I had not assumed this. I froze. Blinked twice. Did I hear him right? I rubbed my ear, determined that I was wrong,
"W-what do you mean?" Jake shrugged again, mindlessly scratching his arm, blatantly uncomfortable. He seemed to be that a lot lately.
"The Pilots think you two planned the breakout, so your forbidden to leave your rooms or, ya know... be together," he said. He avoided my eyes, instead taking a sudden deep interest in the cover of 'Angel Falls', tracing the letters with his index finger. My hand went numb, soft tingling sensation traveling up my arms and through my chest. I felt my legs give way, and I might've hit the floor, but I couldn't be sure. Strong arms wrapped around my shoulders, meant for comfort but more suffocating. I felt light-headed, and the room was starting to spin. Never allowed to see her again? That was impossible. No, no, it wasn't true. Jordan would never try to break out without me, therefore we could not have been banned from each others company. Jake was playing a cruel joke on me. Yet, there was no shred of laughter in Jake's eyes that told me he was lying. I was sure that there were tears running down my face. I tried to wipe them away, but my hand would not respond. Instead, it shook feebly, lifted a few inches, and fell back to the plush carpet. I noticed that I was sitting on my knees now, sobbing into Jakes shirt. He was holding my in a tight embrace, and without really thinking I wrapped my arms around his back. He seemed to hold me tighter, then. We sat like that for a few minutes, my tears soaking the front of Jakes shirt. He didn't seem to mind. When I finally sniffled my crying to a halt, Jake pulled back, his hands still on my shoulders. He looked straight into my eyes.
"I'm sorry," he said simply. I closed my eyes and looked away from him. Okay, new plan.
"Does anyone else know that we're not allowed out?" I asked him. Jake tilted his head up in thought, then shook it.
"I don't think so. Just a few of us; Stull and myself, Parker, the Jinxes and Sara. A few of our upper staff. Noone you'd run into." I nodded, deciding against pointing out that I only recognized one of those named besides himself- Stull.
"Thanks Jake," I muttered, waving him off as subtly as I could. He looked at me suspiciously, but proceeded to stand up. He reached out his hand to help me up. When I didn't take it, he leaned down and kissed my forehead, then made his way to the door, catching it so it shut lightly. The click rang in the hollows of my mind, bouncing off of the inside of my skull. What did I do now? For any of my plans to work, me and Jordan had to be together. It was time for that new plan.
