Six rolled around and Adam wasn't there.
Six-thirty came, and still no Adam.
Seven o'clock came and I really started to get worried.
But then Adam finally arrived.
"Jesus, Adam. I was getting worried. What took you so long?" I asked, hugging him.
"I'm so sorry! It's just my car wouldn't start, but then it did, so I figured it was fine, but it broke down when I was almost here, so I called Matt and had him bring me over here," Adam said in one breath. I then noticed Matt was standing behind him.
I raised my eyebrow before questioning Adam, "So Matt's are driver for the night?"
"No. We're going to drop him off back at his house before I take you out," Adam explained.
"Okay," I said grabbing my purse, and closing the door behind me.
"Wow, you look amazing," Adam said once he got a full look at me. I had my hair down and was wearing a strapless black dress that went down to about my knees. It was simple, but was obviously giving off the effect that I wanted it too.
"Thanks," I smiled giving Adam a quick kiss on the cheek, before he grabbed my hand and we walked over to the elevator and got on.
"So Matt. How are you tonight?" I asked him, as we stepped out of the elevator and headed to the apartment complex's doors.
"Oh, just wonderful," Matt said. His car was right in front of the building, so we stepped in before he said, "I plan on going home and watching some TV before going to bed."
"Wow, sounds like a fun night, Boner," Adam smiled.
"Shut up," Matt replied.
I looked at the both of them questioningly.
"Somehow when I was younger, people got boner from Rubano, so everyone would call me that," Matt said, barely showing any emotion.
I stared at him for a minute before I busted out laughing.
"You can't be serious," I said between laughs.
"I wish I wasn't," Matt mumbled.
"Oh, you aren't fond of your childhood nickname?" Adam asked, now laughing too.
Matt glared at him before saying, "You seem to be."
"Oh, come on, you know I only say that to annoy you," Adam smiled, rolling his eyes.
"Whatever," Matt said. "Anyways, I'm not doing anything tonight because I have to rest up for tomorrow."
"Tomorrow?" I questioned, looking at Adam.
"Yes, tomorrow we are going to your apartment and we're going to celebrate that we are once again reunited," Adam said.
"Okay, I'm going to ignore the fact that you just made us sound like the Power Rangers or something and ask you when did I agree to everyone coming over?" I smiled.
"When you decided to come back stage at the concert," Adam smiled back.
"We always used to hang out a lot, but we alternate between places and since we haven't hung out at your place for a couple years, we are going to tomorrow," Matt added.
I smiled at the thought of hanging out with all the guys, let alone actually having friends to hang out with in the first place.
A minute later, we were at Matt's house. He got out of the car, and we exchanged our goodbyes, before Adam started to drive away.
"So where are you going to be taking me?" I asked Adam.
"Well, I know that you hate fancy restaurants unless it's a special occasion, but I figured this was a special occasion, so I'm going to take you to the nicest restaurant in town," Adam replied.
I smiled at the fact that Adam knew that I didnt really like fancy restaurants, when I didn't have any recollection of telling him. Obviously I did tell him before, but I don't remember.
"Oh, look, it's my car!" Adam said, taking his hand nearest me off the steering wheel and pointed out the windshield to a car parked on the side of the road.
I looked at the car and started laughing. No sooner had I started laughing that Adam joined me. Somewhere during our laughing, Adam took the hand that he pointed with, and put it on my knee.
"Now Mr. Lazzara, are you sure you should be doing that? This is our first date," I joked with him.
"To you, maybe. But to me, this is familiar territory," he smiled, winking at me.
My heart leaped in my chest when he winked at me.
Adam didnt remove his hand, but that was okay. I liked it there.
I turned on the radio and the beginning of Smack That by Akon filled the car.
Adam started singing along with the radio while I started laughing. Soon I was singing along with him though. I mean, how could you not? Everyone loves that song.
The song was coming to an end, but we weren't going to be hearing the rest because we had pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant.
We got out of the car and walked up to the restaurant. Adam held the door open for me, and I smiled at him saying, "Oh, what a perfect gentlemen."
We walked up to the hostess and she said to us with a little more attitude then necessary, "Unless you have a reservation, you aren't going to be able to get in tonight."
"Well, it's a good thing I have a reservation then, isn't it?" Adam smiled at her.
You could tell that the girl didn't want to be there, but she still managed to look a little happier when she asked, "Last name?"
"Lazzara."
"Okay, right this way," she said grabbing a couple menus before leading us to a table.
A few steps later, we were at a table set for two. Adam pulled out my chair for me and I smiled at him before sitting down in it.
"Do you remember ever being here?" Adam asked me.
"Yeah, I've been here before," I said looking at him confused.
"No, I mean, you've been here with me before and I don't know if you've been here again after that," Adam said.
"Oh, well, I only remember coming here with family and stuff. Sorry," I said feeling bad. I felt like I should've remembered being here with him.
"It's okay, I was just wondering," Adam said smiling at me. "Anyway, I think we should start looking at the menu so we know what we want when the waitress comes."
I smiled back at Adam and then grabbed then menu in front of me and started to look at it. Soon, a waitress came over and took our orders.
It was silent for a minute before Adam said, "What are you thinking about?"
"Nothing really," I smiled. "How about you?"
"Same. I just can't believe I'm here with you," Adam smiled back.
"I never thought I would be here either. I mean, you're the lead singer to my favorite band, and I figured that's all you would ever be," I said.
"Well, I'm glad that's not all I am," Adam laughed.
"Me too," I laughed along.
"I missed you laugh," Adam said, looking into my eyes.
"I wish I could tell you I missed something too, but I don't remember any of it, except" I trailed off.
"Except what?" he asked excitedly.
"Except right before the accident," I said as I thought about it.
"Oh."
"Adam, can I ask you something?"
"Sure," Adam grinned at me.
"Well, like I just said, I remember right before the accident, like when I was driving and while I was driving I was crying. You said before that I was leaving your house when I got into the accident. Obviously you had something to do with me crying and I want to know what you did," I said nervously.
Instantly Adam's face dropped.
I like my coffee black just like my metal...
