We were dropped off at the entrance of Lakeview Apartments. Tor payed the driver for the ride. She had to retrieve her bag from the trunk, whereas I had kept mine at my feet, just in case the trunk-openning lever broke or something.

"Wow. I didn't think the place would be this big." Three stories tall, stretching back as far as I could see. "What if we can't find our number?"

She laughed at me. "Well we'll just go to every single door until we find ours. Okay?"

We walked forward, and looked at the numbers on the doors, trying to figure out the layout of the place and where ours might be. We were apartment 17B. "B" Stood for B-Wing. Yep, the apartment complex was so big that it had wings. Luckily, it didn't take too long to find our new home.

"I hope James is here. He said he'd wait until we got here, then take us to work with him for a little while."

"We're going to work with him? You didn't tell me that."

"Yeah I know. I just remembered." Both of us laughed; we both knew she had the memory of a 90-year-old.

"Come on, let's go inside!" I was anxious to see what it would look like. I was happy that it was on the first floor- the less stairs I had to walk up and down every day, the better.

The door was unlocked, which meant that James was most likely here as planned. I stepped in first and looked around, taking it all in. We were in the dining room and to the right was a good-sized livingroom and straight ahead was the kitchen. The two bedrooms branched off from the livingroom, and the bathroom was at the far side of it. All the walls were as white as I'd ever seen, and the carpet was a pale brown color that reminded me of a teddy bear.

"Tori!" James hurried in from one of the bedrooms, and hugged her tightly. He kissed her and squeezed her hips. "Hi Dawn," he greeted, and offered a hug to me as well.

"Where's my kiss?" I joked, and glared at me playfully. "Or better yet, where's our furniture?" Not even a chair could be found.

"Are you serious? What do you think I am, a magician? We don't got none yet! But hey, at least you get to listen me me and Tori having sex every night!" A big grin smeared across Tor's face.

"How exciting," I replied, chuckling lightly. I headed to the bedrooms, to see which was mine.

"Ours is the one with the bathroom!" james called. "Me and Tori need to shower together!"
I dropped my bag by my door, and looked around my room. Medium sized, maybe 11'x12'. The closet was big enough to fit a twin mattress and a small dresser inside. The window was my favorite feature. There was a beautiful blue lake some hundred feet away, with green trees and birds and ducks. The sky was bright and had few clouds. I had the idea to place a giant plushy chair there, so I could sit and enjoy the scenery.

"Dawn, we're going to leave without you!" Tor shouted to me.

I hurried out to them, James locked the door behind us and we set out for our first adventure in the big city.
