The next few days went by in a flash. You and Jimi were spending more and more time together. You had learned a lot about him. He was very sweet but sometimes came off as cocky. He gave the image of a bad boy but was nothing more than an innocent prankster.
Sort of like Sirius, you thought once. That struck you as very odd and immediately dismissed it from your mind.
Right now, you had no time for distractions. You had more important matters at hand. It was Saturday morning and your date with Jimi. You two were going to Hogsmeade together soon.
Sirius sat on your four-poster bed, flipping through a muggle magazine that was lying around. The dorm was already empty except the two of you.
"Okay, how about this one?" you asked him holding up your seventh potential outfit.
Sirius looked up. "Nah. Too conservative. Why don't you wear something like this?" he asked holding up the magazine.
You took the magazine from him to see a picture of a girl clad only in a bikini. You rolled up the magazine and hit him over the head. "Bad dog! Come on, Padfoot! I'm serious!"
"Really?" he said blinking. "I thought I was Sirius."
You groaned and fell back on Lily Evan's bed, with your hands covering your face.
"Okay, okay! I'm sorry, he said. What about that sundress you wore to Prongs' mother's birthday?"
You sat up, gears clicking in your head. "That old thing?" You strode to your wardrobe and pulled out the sundress.
Sirius shrugged. "Well it may be old, but it sure knocked out James' cousin, Jack."
You grinned as you remembered your summer fling with Jack. You went to the bathroom and tried it on. Sirius was right. This dress was killer. Innocent but flirty. You smiled at yourself in the mirror.

Here's what your dress looks like. If you don't like it, imagine something else but I like it!
"Well?" Sirius called from the room.
You stepped out of the bathroom. "It's..."
"Perfect," he finished.
The dorm door swung open. James stood in the doorway. "Oi, Elliot! Steele's waiting down in the - wow." His jaw dropped as he looked at you.
You smiled. "Yes. I clean up pretty good, don't I?"
Sirius sobbed dramatically. "Oh! Our little girl is all grown up!"
James patted his back comfortingly as you laughed. You ran back to the bathroom and put on some mascara and pink tint lip-gloss, which was actually Lily Evans' but who cared.
"Okay," you breathed. "Let's go."
Sirius and James walked you to the common room, wished you luck and left.
Jimi Steele stood in the middle of the room, chatting with a seventh year. When he saw you he excused himself and strode over, eyes wide.
"You look stunning," he said, his jaw almost to the floor.
You smirked. "Did you expect anything less?"
He smiled pleasantly. "Of course not. You always look stunning. Ready to go?" he asked holding out his hand.
You nodded and took his hand. You walked out of the portrait hole, hand-in-hand.

Sirius' POV
Wow, I thought. Audrie sure looked pretty.
James and I met up with Mooney and Wormtail and we all made our way to Hogsmeade.
We strolled about for a bit, weaving in and out of the crowds of students. We walked around for quite sometime, lost in our own world. It felt strange though. We always had Audrie leading the way around here. I shrugged the thought off as James made a joke. I laughed, even thought I hadn't heard the joke.
"Let's go to the Three Broomsticks. I'm dying of thirst," complained Peter. We all agreed.
We grabbed our regular table and ordered four Butterbeers.
"So Remus," James said after a long sip of his drink. "What you want to do tonight?"
We all looked around to check if the coast was clear. As usual, it was very noisy in the Three Broomsticks and there was no one around their table. We began to talk excitedly about our plans for tonight.
Once again, I couldn't help but think how strange this was without Elliot. Everyone nodded excitedly as James added the last bit to our plan. "CHEERS!" we all yelled, clanking our mugs noisily and drinking from them.
A sudden warm breeze ruffled my hair. The Three Broomsticks door opened. I looked over the rim of my tankard.
Audrie and Jimi walked in holding hands and laughing. She was red in the face, as though she had been laughing really hard. In fact she was still laughing.
Jimi pulled her close, chuckling as well. They looked at each other and smiled. She pushed him away playfully and grabbed the last empty table. As she sat down, her gaze wondered to our table.
She beamed at me and waved.
I waved back and saw Prongs, Mooney and Wormtail wave as well.
"She's positively glowing," said Remus. I drank from my mug to realize it was empty.
I waved to the waitress for another round. She brought them over and gave me a wink. For the first time I realized what a site she was. She couldn't have been too much older than me. Maybe 3 years. I drank from my now full mug as I watched her serve other customers.
"Wow. Looks like she fancied him more than she let on," said Peter. I followed his gaze.
I nearly choked on the warm drink. Audrie and Jimi were locked at the lips at their table. Suddenly, my Butterbeer didn't taste so good. I felt as though my heart had dropped into my stomach. I put the mug down and looked away from their table.
What the hell is wrong with me? I thought. I shook my head as if trying to shake away the unwanted thoughts.
Another warm breeze hit me. The door opened once more.
"Evans," breathed James.
Lily Evans and her friend, Jackie McCarol stood near the door, looking for seats.
"Look Mooney. It's Jackie," I said nudging him.
He turned red and said nothing.
"Oi! Evans! Over here!" called James.
Lily looked towards our table. She rolled her eyes when she saw James. Jackie looked over as well. She smiled at Remus then turned to Lily. Jackie said something to her. Lily looked furious and said something back. Jackie looked as though she was begging. Finally she seemed to give p and walked over to our table anyway. Lily rolled her eyes but followed Jackie.
They pulled up chairs to our table. Jackie went and sat next to Mooney who was still flushed in the face, and Lily was stuck sitting next to Prongs.
James wasted no time. "Hey Evans," he said running a hand through his messy hair.
"Potter," she said acknowledging him, but avoiding eye contact.
"Will you go out with me?"
"No."
"Why not?"
She ignored his question and glared at Jackie was in a deep conversation with Remus.
I laughed. But still felt the strange sinking feeling in my stomach.
Several hours later, we finished our last drinks and headed for the castle.
"Will you go out with me?" James asked her once more. He stood at the bottom of the stairs of the girls' dormitory.
She rolled her eyes. "No." She turned around and walked up the stairs.
"Don't worry about it, mate," I said punching his shoulder lightly as we sat on the couch in the common room. "She'll come around."
James nodded gloomily.
I looked over to Remus, who was holding Jackies hand at the bottom of the stairs. She kissed his cheek and ran up the stairs. Mooney stood staring after her for a second before coming and sitting with us.
James suddenly forgot all about being rejected. "Woah! Mooney! Didn't know you had it in you," he said nudging him.
We began to tease Remus when the portrait hole swung open again.

Back to Your POV
You and Jimi held hands as you walked into the common room. You stood near the entrance.
"Are you headed toward the dorms?" he asked.
"Nah," you said as you spotted the Marauders sitting on the couches. "I'm going to hang around here. What about you?"
"I've got to go get my books and head to the library," he said pulling you close again.
You smiled. "Nerd."
"Shut up," he said as his lips crashed on yours again.
You kissed back and vaguely wondered if this was how Sirius kissed. You pulled away quickly.
WOAH! Why did I think that? JIMI! Jimi, Jimi, Jimi!
Jimi gave you a look. You shook your head as if to shake away those unwanted thoughts.
"I had a really good time today, Jimi," you said, the thought still eating away at you.
"Me too," he said kissing you again. "Alright, I'll see you later." He made for the stairs, paused and came back to give you another kiss.
"Bye," you said smiling. You sighed and went over to the guys and flopped on the armchair across the couch.
"Wow. Look at you two," James hooted.
"Shut up," you said but smiling. "What's the plan for tonight," you said quickly changing the subject.
Sirius shot up and pulled you over to the couch. You sat down next to him as he excitedly began to whisper the plans for tonight to you.
You talked excitedly with Sirius, unaware of the person watching from the distance. The portrait hole swung open and someone was leaving. You looked over but saw no one. You raised an eyebrow but thought nothing of it.
As night fell upon the castle, five students wandered down the castle stairs and made their way across the black grass. The five students disappeared into the darkness and five animals now prowled the school grounds in the blackness of the night.
