Whoa! Did you see that [Naruto Story]?! #13 Konoha attacked! The team is...split up?!

Shunei and Mimi had had plenty of time to recover, having been the first match. They sat in the infrimary, along with Mimi, discussing the match, wondering who amongst the genin would become chuunin. Mimi commented on how impressed she was at both of them during the match, Shunei for her strategy and Shiage for his mere reluctance to lose. She also made sure to mention how much more powerful she had become. She had learned a new technique, but wouldn't tell the details of it, saving it as a surprise.
"Come on, Mimi! Spill it!" Shunei said.
"Hm...nope! I WILL give you a hint though, and that's how I learned it. I read about a technique that uses chakra to channel the direction and flow of sound waves, so it incorporates that...and it's really powerful! I've tested it and it really works!"
"So it's safe to assume that it involves the use of your voice, then?" Shiage asked. He winced a little, still bearing pain from the wound he had recieved to his stomach. Mimi nodded smiling, while Shunei gave an apologetic smile to Shiage. He smiled back, not really minding. It was a competition after all. Plus, he was impressed. Mimi and Shunei were mastering new techniques all the time. Shiage had always been strong, but he never really improved upon that. At least, that's what he thought.
It was then that he realized something. He had never thought about it before, but he had grown really close to these two since first meeting them, and yet he was the only one who had never really opened up.
He then shocked everyone by saying, "Uh...Mimi...remember that...camping thing? Can we...can we do that again...sometime?"
Mimi and Shunei sat kind of dumbstruck for a moment, surprised that Shiage would actually be interested in a such a thing. However, they shook it off after a moment, and Mimi was excited about the idea of doing it again. As they kept talking, they heard a commotion outside and ran out.
I wonder what that could be...as if I didn't already know...
The three ran outside to see Kakashi standing in the midst of fallen shinobi. They caught him just as he was about to leave.
"Kakashi-sensei! What's going on?!" Shunei asked.
"Konoha has been attacked by both sound and sand ninja. I would suggest that, rather than staying together, the three of you go to what is most important to you. Protect it."
At first, the three wanted to stay together. However, they then remembered how serious Kakashi was about teams and, if he wanted them to split up, it was probably serious. They decided to go their seperate ways.
Shunei headed for her house. She knew that she would need to protect her family, since she was the first one in it to become a ninja. As she was heading there, she was ambushed by three sound ninja. They came at her, full force. However, she had improved even more than she had known. To her own surprise, she was able to hold them all back. Still, she wasn't making any headway in the battle.
Uh-oh...
Mimi was heading towards her grandmother's house. She lived alone so she would need protection. Shiage didn't have anything to protect, really. He was an only child, his parents both powerful ninja already fighting against the enemy. He decided to go with Mimi. They too were stopped by enemy ninja, five of them. They were ready to fight, taking up a stance.
"Okay, I guess this would be a good time to show off that jutsu," Mimi said, "I got the idea when you told me that my voice was like genjutsu for the ears."
She made several handsigns. Then, she opened her mouth, clearly speaking, but Shiage could hear nothing. As she spoke, she continued making the same hand signs, over and over again. Suddenly, two of the enemy ninja fell to the ground, unconcious, taking them out of the picture. Quite ruthlessly, Mimi threw two kunai, killing each of them. Shiage was shocked, but impressed. However, he didn't have time to ask her about it. Two of three remaining shinobi were running straight towards him. He stepped out of the way, just barely striking one of them. He hit a pivotal point, causing the ninja's waist to fail him. His legs worked fine, but he couldn't hold his upper body up at all. Eventually, he simply gave up and fled over rooftops, jumping awkwardly as his torso swung about. By this time, Shiage had already managed to immobolize and kill the other one. The last remaining shinobi stood ready to fight for a moment, but then shot off a few hand signs, kicking up a large amount of sand. By the time Mimi and Shiage were done rubbing it out of their eyes, the man was gone.
"Mimi...what was that technique?"
"Ah...I changed the direction and frequency of the sound waves being emitted through my voice to directly enter the brains of the opponents. I convinced them to concede. I figure that that'll only work on the weak-minded."
"Well, it's very impressive. However, we should try to find Shunei. She might need our help."
Mimi agreed and the two jumped off into the night.
