The Virtue of Sin Part 1: The Call
Chapter 5 : The Virtue of Sin Part 4: The Next Morning
i didn't get to type part 4 yesterday cause i was busy, but there aren't really that many of you reading this anyway. part 5 should come soon, maybe even today.
Lyra had a dream. It was an abnormal dream in which she would run endlessly following something unknown but she would never reach it. Then her dream changed altogether and she was lying in a bed next to the boy she had seen in the park. But this was absurd, yet she didn’t want to leave the bed she wanted to lie next to this person forever, but why? She didn’t know.
Then suddenly she came into consciousness yet her eyes were still closed. She was holding something and she wouldn’t let go of it whatever it was. At first she thought that this was all a part of her dream, but then she realized that she did have something that her arms were wrapped around. Suddenly whatever it was moved. It expanded and then retracted to its normal size like someone was taking a breath.
Suddenly she opened her eyes and realized that she was holding the boy from last night in her arms. She freaked out, had this been why she had that dream. She had for the moment forgotten all about the angel’s and devil that she had seen just hours ago, she had also for the moment forgotten where she was. Her attention was solely focused on this boy.
Suddenly she couldn’t help herself. She started feeling his body starting with the chest and then moving to the face, but then down lower. Suddenly she stopped herself before she got below the waist. “What am I doing?” she asked herself. But then the boy turned over and his face was right next to hers. His arms wrapped around her and she stared at him as he slept. And she couldn’t move. This was after all the closest she had ever been to another guy.
That’s when it hit her, all the memories of the night flooded back all at once and she gasped loudly. This stirred the boy and he awoke to find his face only inches away from hers and the two were holding each other. The memories seemed to hit him much faster than they had her and he sat up quickly letting go of her. But he didn’t seem freaked out that he woke up next to a strange girl.
That’s when the one thing she had forgotten hit her. She wasn’t home. Suddenly she jumped to her feet and raced off back to her house. Luckily it wasn’t far and she knew of a direct route home that there wouldn’t be many people around to see her in her pajamas. She got home easily without anyone seeing her, or at least that she didn’t see anyone else. But when she got to the driveway she stopped. Now it wasn’t about speed it was about stealth.
She had two options. She could climb up and go through a window that was in her room, unfortunately getting to it was hard and she would have to go through some thorn bushes that would probably leave marks, not to mention that the window had a bunch of junk piling up on the inside that she would have to knock over or move carefully. The other option was to just go through the front door. This seemed like a bad idea, but if her mom stayed up late watching TV and got drunk she could walk through the house easily without being seen.
Both were risky but she decided to try the front door. It would be quicker and had good odds of success. She opened the door carefully without making a sound and looked in. she saw nothing and crept inside. She was in the kitchen, which was fairly and after shutting the door she knew that she was trapped if her mom was awake and without a hangover. But luckily her mother was just as out of it as normal so she crept on past stopping only to look at the clock, which read 8:45. She walked in the direction of her room and went in to finish up the Landry that she needed to do and change into different cloths.
In the Boys Position
He sat on the swings in the park swinging slightly back and forth. He had a dream as well. His was the same although he was still dreaming when the girl he was lying next to started to feel his body and in his case that was part of the dream. He was greatly relieved that she hadn’t gone below the waist whilst feeling him, because his pants had a slight bulge in them at the time.
But by now his thoughts had moved forward. He had already thought a bit about the night’s events. He had just been walking back from the grocery store, which he went in his moms stead for fear of something happening to her. He hadn’t even gotten there yet because he saw the lights over the school and went to investigate. But he couldn’t quite figure out what had exactly happened. He assumed it was something of Angels and Devils but he wasn’t too positive.
Unable to come up with a sound conclusion on his own he decided that he would talk to the girl when school started back up in a week. So his thoughts had now turned back to the girl. Who was she? He had seen her a few times before in school, but never talked to her personally. He did remember something about her though she had been the talked about a lot by others. She was always quiet and made fun of for various reasons like tripping or spilling something on herself.
He was much like her in some ways. He was quiet as well and neither of them had any friends although for different reasons. He didn’t want to befriend any of those people and he hated them all. He got mad anytime he heard someone being made fun of for messing up on something or because they were different. But the others feared him. They were too afraid to speak of him whilst in school, although he was positive that they talked about him outside of school. But he didn’t care what they thought.
He kept trying to think of her name, but it wouldn’t come to him. Then suddenly he heard the voice of a girl whom he overheard talking about her “yea I heard that, that freak girl Lyra’s mom came into school today and grabbed her and dragged her home because she forgot to do something” The memory didn’t make him happy because they were talking about her, but at least he remembered her name. It was Lyra Renfields. He would find out more about her when school started and hopefully get to talk to her.
Presently he decided that it would be best to hurry to the store and grab the groceries that his mom wanted and rush home. She didn’t need them until morning so he could hurry and get home without her knowing that he had been out all night. And so he did. He got the groceries and then got home before his mom was awake he put them up and then went into his room and pretended to fall asleep whilst thinking about the girl named Lyra Renfields.
