The hot sun beated down on my battered body. It had been a gruesome night. I had to move out or I'd be caught dead.

'Curse you stupid gifts!' In our village, we have what we call the gifted ability. Mine was The Gift of Song. Do I like it? HELL NO!

There's no place to train, whoever hears my song will become my enemy, it doesn't matter who, and since you can't control it well, it can kill on it's own if it pleased. Another thing is the song you choose to sing. Soft songs for sleeping techniques and loud ones for attacks.

You have to memorize, rehearse, get ALL the words right, and it has to be from one of the scrolls found only in the restricted section of our Atae Temple. Whoopy. -__-

"THERE SHE IS! GET HER!"

'Damn it... so close too...' Guards came crashing down on my petite body and knocked the wind out of me.

"For god's sake, this is the fourth time this week! Can't you take a break?! We've lost enough people to that gift already!" My head snapped around and glazed over the figure of the Ataekage. He didn't look too happy to see me at the Temple again.

"WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LET ME SING ONE SONG?!" I screamed out desperately. He sighed, pulling the straw hat over his eyes and waved the guards off me.

"Come with me, Juurii..." I was taken by surprise at his attitude towards me. I thought for sure he'd be angry as hell.

Getting up slowly, I regained my posture and followed the Ataekage into one of the deepest parts of the restricted section.

Dust covered most of everything, it was like digging up a thousand year old grave, only to be filled with scrolls.

My eyes glanced over a little bit of everything, making mental notes, memorizing paces, directions and what not...

Finally, we hit a dead end, "Take a look over here," I turned my attention towards where the Ataekage was pointing at; a shelf of dusty old scrolls, and we weren't even in the right section.

"These were all the people that have been either killed by the Gift of Song or had it."

I wondered endlessly after he said that, shelf after shelf, piled up with more and more scrolls, all by the cause of one gift. 'But who were they...?'

I was interrupted from my thoughts when the voice of Sainnite broke it.

Sainnite, that's the Ataekage's name.

"Sorry, did you say something? I wasn't paying attention," He sighed and looked rather annoyed that I usually zoned out when he said something important.

"Juurii, did your gift even activate yet?"

"..."

"Good, don't ever activate it, or you will have to pay a great price."

Sainnite-sama had this really serious look on his face, 'Ouch. Better follow what he says... >> After a little more snooping...'

"No more snooping around the temple trying to find those scrolls. If you're lucky, the Medical team could've made a mistake with your gift."

Alright, that's got my undivided attention. "What do you mean by 'made a mistake?' As far as I know, they've NEVER made a mistake!" I retorted back.

"Clam down, let me explain. As far you know, they've never made a mistake. Who wants to admit that they did anyways?"

Hearing this, a blush came to my cheeks, he was right... again, I had yelled at him without thinking.

"On rare occasions, the medical team mixes similar gifts up for another. They find the source, and by it's flow and colour, they can tell which one it is."

I stared in awe at his words of wisdom, the medical nins know THAT much?!

"Sooo.. then how do they mix two gifts up? That's kinda weird if you ask me..." The Ataekage paid no attention to me as he was had started leading us back to regular halls.

Ignoring my question he snatched my left hand and placed a rolled up piece of paper. "The information you need is in here, I trust that you'll know how to use it."

I tilted my head to the side and looked at him funny, "Huh...?"

He sighed again, as if I were some bothersome pest, "If I can't stop you from learning those songs, I might as well help you become a great kunoichi..."

Word after word, a genuine smile was slapped across my face and I embraced Sainnite-sama in an opened arm hug.

"Arigatou Ataekage-sama!"

'Today is the best day of my life! Thank you sweet mother of Jesus!' I skipped down town, people giving me weird looks as I passed by.

I don't blame them, it's not everyday you see me, Juurii, the loud and obnoxious troublemaker skipping (for gods sake) and smiling like a maniac.

A yawn escaped my mouth as I climbed the last flight of stairs. 'Stupid 13 floored buildings...'

I lived on the thirteenth floor, so lucky, ne? -___- Guess no one knew the existence of the elevator..

"ALIVE!!!" I groaned... today, I haven't been training like usual, rather, I've been plotting to get inside the temple, so that means my muscles were all smoking weed in a cigar...

+++ No One's POV +++

A blond haired man sweatdropped as he saw this.. "So this is the girl, un?"

A hunched over figure nodded and motioned his comrade back as the hyperactive girl got up and started walking in their direction.

"This is as far as you'll be going."

The girl gave him a confused look, as slow realization crawled on her face.

"IT'S YOU!" She yelled at the volume that could've made the floor shake.

"You know her Sasori-danna, un." The blond asked, his eyes on the girl.

"He might not know me, but I know him!" She quickly ran up to the hunched figure, known as Sasori, opened the latch on his back and pulled him out.

"YOU BITCH!!!" She yelled and threw him into the nearest wall.

The blond watched in amazement, a little girl was pushing his superior around, and he was letting him get pushed around!

"Are you done yet, Juurii..." Sasori's impatient voice came.

+++ Your POV +++

I breathed in and out like Sainnite-sama taught me whenever I got angry.

Reclaiming my posture, my head nodded on it's own accord. 'NO! I'm not done yet... he's the reason why I look like this...'

"Good, Deidara, knock her out and lets go." The blond, known as Deidara nodded and made his way over to me with a smug grin.

I gave him my '._.' look and just stood there like an idiot. I have never been knocked out before, fainted or anything related to that. Everyone said my head was too thick for it's own good DX.

I was slapped out of la la land when a harsh blow hit me on the back of the head.

"HOLY MOTHER OF CHRIST!" I lifted my head and glared at him, "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR?!"

They both sighed at me, that could've knocked anyone out... but it only gave me a bruise...

"Owie..." I whined to no one in particular.

"Just get her and go!" Sasori's voice seemed cold and impatient, what was there to worry about? We had all the time in the world to catch up on our reunion---

Before I knew it, a pair of firm arms literally sweeped me off my feet and began running towards the window.

My eyes widened at this I started to strangle whoever was carrying me. "LET GO OF ME YOU FRICKIN' PSYCHOPATH!"

"Shut up, un!"

Shattered glass was heard as we made it through the window with no injures what so ever.

The first thing I did was inspect my face dramatically, as if I were some movie star and someone poured tar all over my face.

"There's nothing on your face."

"Mhmm!" I nodded at the voice in acknowledgment and started feeling for cuts and such along my limbs.

"She's amusing, un." My neck slowly craned around to face Deidara. He gave me the 'wtf?' look and I glared at him dead on.

One. Two. Three. Ichi. Nii. San. HA! "YOU BLINKED!" I shouted with glee and glomped him with a full frontal attack.

I was almost certain that Sasori would rather be thrown off the--- wait.. oO

"Breathe in. Breathe out. Okay, now that I am ever so clam. -^-^- WHY DO I FEEL LIKE I'M FLYING!?"

A chuckle escaped from Deidara as I crossed my arms and I pouted.

"Kawaii!" He said and pinched my cheeks. Now I know how rubber gloves feel when I try to put them on my foot...

"Sasori! Deidara's bullying me!!!" Sasori, however, paid no attention to me and let Deidara stretch my face to look like a watermelon.

"C'mon Juurii-chan, lighten up!" These guys were kidnapping me and I was supposed to lighten up?!

"SKEW YOU!" My hands found his wrist and I dug my nails into his skin, hopefully piercing him.

A pained expression was spread across his face for a split second before it went back to his normal smug grin.

"What?!" I screamed.

He was starring at something behind us. Giving into curiosity, I leaned my head backwards and saw an upside down redhead.

"Hey, what's up? And where's Sasori no baka?"
&& Rest in Results

He only glared at me and kept doing so, "Hmmm..." I pondered for a bit and sat up straight, behind him was Hiruko. 'Wait a minute.. this.. is.. clicking...'

A look of 'Oh' came across me as I chuckled nervously.. "Oh yea, you're Sasori.. hey did you know that you look REALLY weird upside down that even the great MOI couldn't recognize you?"

Seeing as how things weren't changing I felt the tension raise so I had to jump to plan B!

"MR.SANDYWOBBLES!" I exclaimed and glomped Sasori like I did with Deidara. "I wuv you!"

Deidara cracked up. Sasori had the colour drained from his face. I kept on holding onto him for as long as humanly possible! Which was like, a few seconds.

"Don't touch me." Venom dripped from his words as I was thrown off him.

'Okay, okay, keep distance with puppet boy, got it.'

The night grew and I realized that my movements were limited.

'I'll deal with it in the morning...' I wrapped my arms around Deidara's waist and feel into a dreamless sleep. He didn't object so I didn't let go.
