I looked around. I was on the roof. But, Gaara was gone! Rai was up, pawing at my hand.
"So the love struck girl's up. We need to talk," he sat down on the pillow. Amazingly, right now, he was taller then me.
I looked up at him, and said "About?" I sheiled my eyes from the sun. I figured it was...what? Eight?
"About your flash back."
I sat, up, and sighed.
"It was about my parent's, and how they died," now, I didn't feel like crying. Not at all. I didn't know why. Maybe because I didn't excatly help me? Well, they did. But, I can't exactly remember it at this current moment.
"How did they die?" asked the cat.
"My grandparents had died about a week before the parents died."
"How did they die?" he asked.
"Orichimaru."
"Is he's the guy that put you in the hospital right?"
"Yep. Tried to do it the same way that Gaara had."
"Suffication?"
I nodded getting out from under the blanket, and folding it up.
"For now on, where ever you go, I need to come."
I nodded, stuffing the blanket and pillow under my arms.
"Come on," I climbed into the window.
Rai followed. "I mean where ever you go!" he said tring to make a point.
I nodded putting my things onto the bed. I froze. More bags. I gulped and walked over to the bags. Guess what they where full of. Stuff from Tameri. And we all know her taste in clothing...tight and skimpy...
"What?" aske Rai looking into the bag. He just flate out laghing. Which is odd for a kitten. Maybe not a talking kitten. But all the same-odd.
Once he regained himself, he looked up at me. "I think you looked good in that outfit you wore yesterday."
"And why would a cat care?"
"Because this cat knows Gaara thought you were hott in it-and so did I."
My eye twiched. That's all I need. Cat's telling me I'm hott...
"Wait-you can read minds?" I asked.
"I thought you knew that..." He sweat dropped.
"Whatever. I gotta get ready for our sparing!" I grabbed some of close, and ran into the bathroom.
I did my morning routine, and put my hair in pig-tail. I looked in the mirrior of my reflection.
Guess I kinda do look like the girl. Well, the younger me. I just need sorter hair...Maybe I should cut it?
I shook me head shooing away the thought.
"Hurry up in there!" It was Rai.
"Do you mind?" I asked taking my hair out of the pig tails, and putting it in one long ponytail.
Eight more days, till I go home.
I still haven't gotten my letters from them. Maybe they forgot about me already? That would explain alot.
"They haven't forgotten about you! Try checking they mail for once!" shouted Rai.
I am so lucky Tameri, and Kankuro aren't in-they'd flip if they saw a talking kitten.
"Whats that suppse to mean?" he asked.
And that can read minds. -.-
"Quit talking about me!" roared the kitten.
I finished my hair, and got dressed. I wore a pink tang, with baggy shorts, camo green. With my ninja sandles. I, also had all my weponds hidden in various pockets in my shorts.
"Aww! I liked the ones Tameri picked out! It's make Gaara like you more!" Rai whined.
Ofcourse, like on cue, the door opened. And since Tameri, and Kanuro were gone, guess who's my visitor. Gaara.
"What?" asked Gaara, he seemed to be very interested in this conersation...
My cheek turned pink.
"Perv! Aren't you gona even knock?" I said turning my back to him, begining to make my bed.
Rai jumped onto my shoulder, and whispered, "He want's to know about, well, what happened las' night. Want me to tell him about the flashback?"
I nodded.
He jumped off my shoulder. "Come on Pretty-Boy!" said Rai walking out the door. When Gaara didn't come he turned and said "Let the lady have her peace, Pretty-Boy."
Gaara glared down at Rai. Then followed shutting the door.
I finished making my bed, I went down stairs. Gaara was sitting across from Rai. The both sat in a chair. I layed out on the couch.
"So, did we get any mail today?" I asked.
"Kankuro put then on the dining table," said Gaara.
Rai just looked at me.
"Okay," I walked off to the dining room.
Sure enough, there where a couple envelopes. I opened the top one.
Dear Suzu,
I'm glad your making friends.
Somenoe came to see you. Her names Kathy. She seems nice, but, I don't trust her.
I heard that in a few weeks, Kathy-chan, is having a party to welcome you back. She had asked me to tell you. It's a sleepover kind, everyone who's your friend is invited. Dose Sasuke know you don't want to date him? He seems kind of depresed of late. Dose he miss you?
Your friend,
Hinata.

Who the hell is Kathy?
I grabbed the next one.
Suzu,
A new girl came to town just a few days after you left. She says she knows you. I don't trust her..Her names Kathy, but she's asked all of us to call her Kay. She wouldn't tell us her last name. I don't know why though. Kiba seems to have taken a liking to her.
Sasuke

Well, I guess that says who Kathy is...Next!
To Suzu,
Hey. Guess what happened? A new girl came. No one really likes her. But, I think she's nice. She really likes Akamaru. Or Aka in your case.
Aka's doing good. I think he miss's you. But, he dosen't like Kathy-the new girl.
What are your friends like?
Kiba

Suzu Aneko,
I'm glad I found you-well, where you live. I need to talk to you when you get back-it's super important! Oh! When you get back, I've got something for you!
Kathy

Werido!
All the other letter's all talked about Kathy. Sasuke's right. I don't trust her...
I got up, and walked out to the living room. Gaara, and Rai were still talking.
"Come on you guys! You two can talk about me more latter, but I've gotta train with Rai!" I grabbed Gaara's hand, and I picked up Rai. We walked out. But once out side, Gaara pulled his hand away.
"Fine be that way!" I said. "Know any good place's to train, and spar?"
"Follow me," Gaara lead the way through the town. "What are you going todo?"
"Spar."
"With?" asked Gaara.
"Me! Man Pretty-Boy you should cach on to thing's quicker," said Rai climbing onto my head.
"Don't call me that," said Gaara.
"Make me!"
Gaara ignored Rai, and kept walking.
"Don't start a cat fight, Rai," I murmered.
"I'm not tring to. If I was, me, and Pretty-Boy over there would have destroyed half the town!" said Rai.
I sighed, and walked up beside Gaara.
"Are we almost there Gaara?" I asked.
"Hn," he said. Bearly hearable over the noises of the market.
We all stayed silent for the rest of the walk. When we got far away enough from the town, Gaara stopped.
"Here?" asked Rai-I don't think he liked the heat.
"Here."
"Suzu, I'm gona go easy on you," Rai jumpped off my head, and walked a couple yards away from me.
"Then your gona get hurt, Rai!" I said pulling out my four kunai, and placing then into my fingues.
I walked away from Gaara.
"It's you call Suzu," something was different in his voice. Usually, it sounds like a little kids voice, but now, it sounded older, wiser...
...
...
...
"GO!" I shouted runing staight at Rai, I was oddly low to the ground. When I reached out to try to slice at him, he doged easily, making me trip.
"You shouldn't be so eager to get killed. I could have easily done so just now," Rai jumpped back.
"Your just lucky!" I spat, getting up. This isn't suppose to happen!
Maybe if I-shit! Rai get out of my head!
"You talk to yourself alot you know that?" asked Rai wagging his tail. "Now, show me what you've got!"
"Don't think. Don't think. Don't think" I chanted to myself.
I put away two kunai, so know I had one in each hand. I charged at him again, but a split second before I was tripped again, I disappered, and reapeared behind him. I
did a low kick. He jumped up, not even looking back at me.
"I agree, don't think. That way, we can get this done sooner!" said Rai. "It dosen't matter it you try to sneak up on me. I can sence you chakra. So, you miles as well come at me head on." He jumped onto my sholder, and scratched my neck a little, while jupming off my shoulder.
"So how'm I suppose to fight you?" I jumped off the ground, and dived at Rai.
"As a team!" he jumped out of the way. I landed as on my feet.
"What?" I asked. I pumped chakra into my feet, I charged at him again. Faster then the last time. He doged it with ease. I did a few quick hand sighs. A refection of me apeared. We both came at Rai.
He didn't doge the first one-the fake, but, he did doge me.
Team. Team. Team. I am not gona ask Gaara for help.
"No need to. If you can figure it out. Every apponet has a weakness. Find it, and hit it!" said Rai jumping infront of Gaara.
A wall of sand came up behind Rai. Rai noticed the wall, and ran towards me. I struck at him. I hit him. I froze. The wall of sand fell. I spun around to look at Rai.
"That was cheap Pretty-Boy! Oh well. Good job Suzu. We're done for today," the cut I gave him began to heal.
"What the? How did you do that? Teach me please!" I said walking over to him. Gaara folowed.
"I'll teach you. If, you promise to wear Tameri's outfits!" said Rai he was fine now, his voice was back to narmal
I glared at him. I looked up and saw Gaara having a slight smile. I glarred at him too.
He is pretty good...
"Pretty good? Come on Suzu! I was great!" said Rai jumping onto my shoulder. "I owned you!"
"Fine," I pouted. This was the last thing I wanted to do. Be trained my a pervy Rai, in skimpy outfits.
"Your training starts tomarrow!" announced Rai. "So, be sure be be dressed for training."
"Home?" asked Gaara.
I nodded. Glarring all the way town at my feet.
What kind of idiot would make a girl train-in the desert?
We were infront of the house now.
"I guess I'm an idiot?" Rai whispered.
I hit my head. Let me tell you, things get very, very annoying when you have to hang out with a kitten named Rai!
"What?" asked Gaara.
"Nothing," I said smiling, like nothing had happened. "I'm kinda hungrey. I didn't have breakfast, think it's alright to get something to eat, Gaara?" I asked looking up at him. With a puppy-dog-look.
"Whatever," he walked off.
Rai, and I watched him until he disapeared in the crowd.
"Where to?" asked Rai. "How 'bout ramen?" he whispered.
"Hnnn." I put my fingue to my lips thinking.
Ramen? Rice Balls? Ramen? Rice Ballls?
"Both?" he suggested.
I nodded.
We wondered around town, looking for a place to eat. I sighed.
This isn't turning out the way I had thought this would, Rai. Help me out will you?
"Fine," Rai jumped off my shoulder and began to follow his nose.
We went through many crowds, I almost lost sight of him a few times. Once we came to a stop, I stared up at the restraunt. It had a large red dragon wrapping itself around a sighn that read 'The Blue Kettle'.
Odd name...
Rai began to walk in.
Shouldn't you be on my shoulder?
Occasionaly it dose help for him to read minds-I don't have to look like a werido talking a cat.
Rai turned, then jumped up. I went through the curtains, took off my shoes. Inside, the tables where made of somesort of dark wood. All the cushions (sp) where made blue of silk. It smelled like some sort of herb-kinda spicy, and sweet, but refreshing all at the same time. All the waitress's wore silky blue kimonos(sp) with white flowers at the bottem of the skirt. This placed smelled expencive. 'course, when your loaded with money, it dosen't matter much.
A waitress came up to us, and asked, "Are you ready to be seated?" she had on blue eye shadow.
"Yes please," I said tring to sound as poilite as possible.
The lady led us through the maze of tables, and cushions. Rai, and I got a corner booth. One of the most enclosed one in the shop.
She handed me a menu. I took a seat. Rai jumpped onto his own cushion.
The lady closed the sliding door.
"How rude! She didn't even offer me a menu!" said Rai.
"Not really. She didn't know I had a talking cat. Can you read?" I asked.
"Ya!" said Rai, as though that's the most obvious thing in the world.
"You are so mean!" I said reading the menu. "Would you like a kiddy plate? They have a small ramen bowl, rice balls, and a few other things."
Rai growled at me. I just snickered.
"Well, I'm getting a small bowl of ramen, rice balls, and some Jasmine Tea. You want ramen right?" I asked.
"Yep! But I am not repeat not having a 'Kiddy Plate'. I'll have a small bowl like your having," said Rai firmly.
"Okay, but be sure to finsih it," I said in a fake motherly voice.
The sliding-door opened and the lady said, "Would you like anything to drink?"
"Yes please. Some Jasmine Tea, and a bowl of milk. Please?"
"Uh-hu! Your order will be here in a moment!" said the waitress in a chrippy tone. She cloed the slidding door.
"I could order for myself!" said Rai.
"For a talking cat, you don't have much commen sence."
"I was joking-gosh," said Rai looking away.
_ I giggled. Ya, it's odd getting along with your pervy teacher, that wants you to wear clothing that I don't like...
"So, now can you tell me how exactly you got into a kitten? Like, why aren't you an old cat?" I asked.
"I could be an old cat if you wanted me to?" asked Rai inoccently.

I smiled and said "Old cats smell."
"I lick myself daily. I would take a shower with you, but, I doubt you'd like that," he said mischeif dancing in his eyes.
I scoled at him.
The sliding door opened again. "Here is you Jamine Tea, and bowl of milk," she set the tea set, and the bowl of milk in the middle of the table.
"Thank you," I said smiling.
"Meow!" said Rai-tring to smile.
"You have a very cute kitten Miss," she then backed up.
"Thank you, again."
"Your very welcome. Your food should be here shortly," she then closed the sliding door.
"She thought I was cute!" he squealed.
"You sound werid when you do that," I said.
"Leave me alone," he turned his head. "Pass the milk please," he mumbled.
"Here you go Mr. Kitty," I passed him the sasure of milk. I poored myself some tea, and began to sip the warm liquid.
I made a face. I put the cup down, then made some hand signs. I made iced-tea! I took a sip of the tea.
"What'd you do that for? Now it's cold," said Rai.
"It's already hot outside. So, why would I want to drink something on a hot day? Simple, because I don't."
"Your not very good at explaining thing's," said Rai a-matter-a-factly.
"What ever," I drank the rest of my tea from the cup, poured myself some more.
I heard some sort of comotion. I shot up thinking it was a robbery or something. I opened the screen door Rai was just solemnly lapped up his milk.
I saw some brown hair in the middle of crowd.
"Makoto?" I asked myself. I jumped onto one of the pillars. Sure enough, there he was.
"Makoto!" he looked up at me. He waved up at me. I pointed to the booth me and Rai shared. He nodded.
I jumped to it. He followed.
"So what was that about?" I asked as I sat down.
"No reservation no food," he said closing the door.
"That's odd. I didn't have a reservation. But they let me in," I said between sips of tea.
"Well, we all know that you and Gaara are close. That must be why they let you - are you okay?" I choked on my tea. He hit me on the back a few times.
"He's just my friend!" I cried through choaks.
The sliding door opened, and the waitress said, "Is he with you miss?"
"Y-yeah!" I said tring to regain myself.
She nodded then slid the door shut.
"Well, your the closest a girl has gotten in along time," he said.
I looked up at him, then glared, "I'd prefer not to talk about him."
"Understood," Makoto nodded.
"Meow!" said Rai. One, he was out of milk. Two, I think he wanted me to introduce him to Makoto.

-->
"Oh, Makoto, this is Rai. He's my kitty, that my friend, Kiba, bought for me," I said.
"Hn," he said looking at Rai.
"Mew," said Rai, acting like a very normal cute kitten.
Makoto chuckled, and scratched Rai behind the ears. "There's something odd about him. But, he is still cute for a-"
"Meow!" said Rai.
I looked at him, and gave him a questioning look.
"Oh! He want's more milk!" I said.
"Want me to go get a waitress?" asked Makoto.
The door slid open. Brining in the food I had ordered. I stared down at my food.
"Yum!" I said.
"Meow!" cried Rai.
"May we have another bowl of milk for him?" asked Makoto pointing to Rai.
"Yes you may. Would you like anything to eat Sir?" she asked.
"No, I'm good," he said.
The laddy nodded, then shut the door.
"You sure? I'v got more rice balls then I can eat!" I said holding up the plate for him.
"Fine-but only because you won't eat all of it," he grabbed the pair spare pair of chop-sticks, and put on in his mouth.
I stared at him with my mouth full of ramen. Rai just plain stared at him. I've never see someone stick a whole rice-ball in someone's mouth.
Makotot chewed, then swallowed. "What? I'm kinda hungry."
"You could have ordered!" I said swallowing too. Then stuffing more ramen into my mouth.
"I could have, but I didn't," he said, grabbing another rice ball. There were five left.
I swallowed. So did Makoto. "You idiot! Taking my food! Don't you take another!" he stuffed another into his mouth, and tried to smile-with his mouth closed.
My eye twitched. I stuffed more ramen in. I was almost done.
"Meow!" cried Rai.
What are you doing?
"Meow, meow, meow!" said Rai.
The door opened and the waitress cam in holding a bowl of milk. It was a little larger then the last. She set it down and said, "Is there anything else I can get you two?"
Makoto looked at me, and vise-versa. We looked at the waitress and shook out heads. We couldn't talk-we had our mouths full.
She nodded, and said, "Call me if you need anything." We nodded.
She closed the door. We both sallowed. And took another mouth full of what we where eating. Three left. I was done with the ramen, all I had to do was drink the broth.
Sadly, I got my mouth to full, and couldn't swallow as I'd hoped. So, now there was two rice balls left. I swallowed, at the same time as Makoto did. We both grabbed for the last one with our chop-sticks.
"Let go!" I cried.
"Never!" he said.
"Meow!" said Rai, lapping up his milk.
I glared at him. He smirked.
"It's mine!" I whined.
"Mine first."
"I ordered it!"
"Please?"
"No! Now gimme it!" I grabbed for it with my other hand. Makoto did the same.
We both tried to push the other hand away.
"Meow!" said Rai.
Rai, quiet!
Ofcourse, as soon as I told him that, Makoto got it. I began to do anime tears when he stuffed it into his mouth.
"I didn't even get one you pig!" I cried, looking down at what was left over.
"I'll pay for you?" he offered.
I slurped up the rest.
"An offer I can not refuse!" I said.
"Me-ow!" said Rai happily.
Makoto chuckled alittle.
"So, do you know where your friend got Rai?" he asked.
I shook my head. "I'm pretty sure he got Rai at a pet store," I said looking at Rai.
Makoto nodded. He stared down at the table. It looked like he was in deep thought.
I shrugged it off, and slurped up the rest, I sighed. "That's good! Hey! They didn't get my shirp ramen!" I cried.
"Meow!" cried Rai.
Just my luck...
I got up from my seat.
"Where are you going?" asked Makoto looking up at me.
"I need to go complain," I said opening the door. I saw my waitress. "Hey laddy!"
She turned around, and walked over to me.
"Where's my shimp?" I asked.
"Oh! I am so sorry! I just thought that it was getting to expensive for you!" she said.
"To expensive?" I said. "Lady, look, I just want my ramen," I gave up on the whole polite thing.
"Yes Miss, it'll be here shortly," she said bowing.
I sighed.
What have I become? I'm scarring the shit out of her...
"Meow!" said Rai nodding his head.
I turned around slowly.
Makoto looked like he'd seen a ghost.
I guess he had. Everyone knows not to get on my bad side at home.
I sighed, and sat down. I rested my elbow on the table, and rested my head on my hand.
Home, home, home, home, home...
I kept thinking of all my friends at home. After awhile, I felt something on my shoulder. I looked up to see Makoto looking down at my-concered.
"Rai ate his shrimp ramen, and I payed for the bill. You want me to walk you home?" he asked. I looked over and saw Rai sleeping.
"Dosen't matter," I said weekly.
"Then, I will," he said firmly. He picked up Rai, while I shuffled to my feat.
We went and put our shoes on the walked outside. I was suprised to see it was sunset.
"You like watching the sunset?" asked Makoto.
I nodded.
He smirked, and said, "I know a really good place to watch. You wanna go there?"
I shrugged.
"Follow me then," he jumped onto the roof tops. I followed him. We soon came to a stop on the top of a large tower.
"Your right," I said. It was beautiful. The sun reflected off of the sand perfectly.
"Pretty aint it?" he asked looking at it. I looked up at him-we were standing a few feet from each other, so I had to tilt my head back more then usual, he was really tall.
"Pretty? No." he looked down at me. "It's beauti-" he got intrupted.
"Meow!" said Rai waking up. He jupped onto my shoulder.
Makoto threw his head back and laughed. I didn't see what was so funny.
"I don't get it," I said, cocking my head to oneside.
"When ever I try to give you a compliment, this cat intrupes me!" said Makoto, he had stopped laughing.
I looked over at Rai. He just gave an innocent look.
I rolled my eyes.
"I guess I ought to be heading home," I said.
"Yeah, I guess it is getting pretty late," he said.

We jumped off the tower, and hit the ground. A few dust clouds came up.
We walked the rest of the way in silence. I don't think he knew where I currently live.
"So, how much longer are you going to be staying?" he asked tring to start a conversation.
"Eight more day's."
"Are you going to write to any of the people you've met here once you get back?" he asked looking over at me sheepishly.
"I might. Why?" I asked. I knew why-he wanted me to write to him.
"Erm...Just wondering."
"Meow!" said Rai.
Makoto looked at Rai, and smirked, then rolled his eyes.
"This cat is a very special one. Take care of him, I have a feeling he's important," advised Makoto.
"Meow!" said Rai again.
For a kitty with a full belly, you sure do talk alot.
"Meow?" said Rai.
I smiled at him. I could now see the house. "There's my house Makoto! Well, the one I've been living in," I said pointing to it.
Rai jumpped off my shoulder and ran to the door. He then began to scratch at it.
When the door finaly opened, we were a few yards away.
I waved up at Gaara.
He looked at me, then to Makoto.
"Who's this?" he asked.
"This is Makoto. I met him yesterday in the hosital," I said. "And Makoto, this is Gaara."
"It's nice to meet you Gaara-of-the-sand," said Makoto. I think he was alittle afraid of Gaara, but he did bow.
"Come on Suzu," said Gaara. Sand pushed me inside.
Before the door closed, I turned as much as I could and said "Thank you Makoto," the door closed.
I turned to Gaara and said, "What was that for?"
"I don't like him," he said flattly, then going up stairs.
"Hey! Suzu's back!" Kankuro came running into veiw. He hugged me, then whispered, "Tameri was just about to start making dinner. Would you mind helping her?"
I sighed, then nodded. All I really wanted to do was go to bed. He let go of my, I then headed for the kichten.
"I have come to help!" I said putting on as much enthousiasum(sp) as I could. We got done in twenty minutes-do to my sleepy-ness.
When we where done, I had a small dinner. I didn't talk much-can't blame me.
Is it possible that Gaara like's me? As a friend or not?
"Meow!" said Rai from under the table.
I looked under, and saw him. I gave him a curious look, he just smiled-as if a cat can.
I soon finished my meal, and washed my dish.
"I'm going to my room for the night. Good night Kankuro. Good night Tameri," I walked up to my room, changed into some pj's, let my hair down, and brushed my teeth.
"Come on Rai," I said gathering two blankets, and a pillow. "We're sleeping out on the roof."
I wore my girl boxers, and a large T.
"Again?" asked Rai.
"What? I like the stars," I climbed out through the window, Rai followed.
"Or, you like something else," he said micheifioudly.
I glared at him, as I set one blanket on the ground, put the pillow down, sat down, and wrapped myself in the other blanket.
"Rai?" I asked looking over at him.
"Hn?"
"Do you not like Makoto?"
"No, I don't."
"Why?"
"I don't trust him."
"Why?"
"I don't know why. There's something about him I don't like. I especially the way he keeps hiting on you," scoled Rai.
"Hn?" asked Gaara coming up behind us.
"Some guy keeps flirting with Suzu!" said Rai turning to him.
"Who?" asked Gaara.
"Don't call him a 'morron'!" I said to Rai. Gaara sat down next to me, so I was in the middle.
"I'll call him what I want!" said Rai.
"Was it that boy?" asked Gaara.
"Ya," I said. "But he's really nice, Gaara. He payed for lunch."
"You two went out to lunch?"
"Ya, why?"
REST IN RESULTS!!!!!!!
-->
"Hn."
I looked at Gaara, with my head cocked to one side. "Hm?"
He looked up at the stars.
I sighed, then suggled down into the blankets.
"Hey, Gaara, tomarrow you want to come and watch as I train Suzu?" asked Rai, curling up on the pillow.
"Hn."
"Yeah!"
"Rai?" I asked looking at him.
"Yes?" he asked.
"Could you please be quiet?" I asked. He huphed, but nodded. He jumped up onto Gaara's shoulder, and the whispered to each other.
I was able to hear a few place's on what they were talking about-me.
"....do you know..." "...ramen, and rice ....." "Blue...." "I don't like.....Makoto..."
"What are you to talking about Makoto for?" I asked looking at them.
"No reson!" said Rai-liar!
"Tell me."
"Nope!" he said in a snotty tone.
I pouted, then turned over, and closed my eyes. After a moment I heard then talking again. I ignored it, and fell asleep.

Thanks for reading! This is what Makoto looks like.
