(The people in the video are all Mizuki's family and friends from the Suki clan. The third to last girl is Mizuki's mother, and the girl at 0:33 is Misuki's older sister, Rina. She was blinded in the slaughter of the clan before Itachi found and killed her, too.)
...
(Your POV)
You stood waiting with Hiroshi and Akina-sensei at the gates of Kajigakure (Village Hidden in Fire). One of your team mates, Ren, hadn't shown up yet. "C'mon, Ren," you murmured, "We're already late as it is. Don't make us wait any longer." You and your team had been assigned to a mission that required you to travel to a nearby village, Konohagakure. As far as you understood, the mission was simply a way of strengthening your ties to the village, and you would be staying there for three days. A team of Genins like you and your team mates would be your shadow, making sure you weren't assassinated or something like that. You sighed inwardly; something in the back of your mind told you this wouldn't be as easy a mission as it sounded.
Ren came running up suddenly and panted, "Gomen nasai. I forgot to set my clock." You rolled your eyes and sighed, "Typical Ren." Akina-sensei shot you a look that could shatter stone; you decided to count your blessings and shut up. "Well, then," Akina said briskly, "Let's get going. It's a two-day trip, you know." "Two days?" Ren and Hiroshi whined in unison, "You can't be serious!" "Shut up, you two," you moaned, "At least we don't have to travel for a week." That shut them up, and you and your team finally left for Konoha. It wasn't until the village was out of sight that Ren started to whine again. "Are we there yet?" "No." You growled. "Are we there yet?" "No." Hiroshi sighed. "Are we there yet?" "No." Akina-sensei said. Five minutes passed quietly, then, "Are we there ye-" "NO!!!" Akina-sensei, Hiroshi, and you turned and screamed the word in unison. Ren flinched and grinned sheepishly as he said, "Sorry." The three of you growled and continued walking, Ren flanking you about five feet away.
Soon it was sunset; you found an open spot in the forest and set up camp for the night. After eating, gathering plenty of firewood and building a fire, Hiroshi and Ren immediately went to bed while you and Akina-sensei stayed up to keep watch for attackers. "Akina-sensei," you said suddenly. From the other side of the fire, Akina looked up at you and said, "Yes?" "Will we be meeting up with the team from Konoha, or will we travel alone all the way?" "They are on their way to us, using the same road we're taking. We should meet up with them tomorrow." "I see." Akina-sensei moved around the fire to sit next to you. Placing one arm around your shoulders, she said, "Sometimes we must wait for the right moment to show our strength as an individual, Mizuki. You will get your chance, I'm sure." "It doesn't seem very likely to me," you said. You and Akina-sensei sat in silence for awhile. Then Akina-sensei looked to the skyand said, "Mizuki, you should know that one of the Genins on the team from Konoha is related to Uchiha Itachi." "What?!" you snapped, looking at her with a mix of fear and rage.
She sighed and said, "But he is nothing like Itachi, I don't think. In fact, word is he wants Itachi dead as much as you do." "But he's still related to him," you spat as your hair turned black and grew wilder. "Mizuki, calm yourself!" Akina-sensei snapped, "If you let your darker self reveal herself, the chakra will bring enemies straight to us!" You looked down, cursing yourself for letting your emotions slip from your control. Your scalp itched slightly as your hair returned to its normal state. "Gomen nasai, sensei," you muttered, "It's just that... this kid might be the next best thing to Itachi, for all we know. People can go pretty far for revenge. I would know; I'm one of those people." "No," Akina-sensei said gently, "You're not that kind of person. You're the type of person who needs help once in a while. I'm sure you aren't anything like the scum who'd do anything for power. You shouldn't compare yourself to the slimebags who want only power. You're better than they are."
You looked gratefully at Akina-sensei and murmured, "Thanks, sensei." She smiled and said, "Any time. Now, get up to a higher position. We need an eye in the sky, too." "Hai." You leapt into a nearby tree, unaware that someone besides your sensei was watching you.
(Unknown POV)
You watched as Mizuki leapt into a tree nearby. ~So this is the survivor of the Suki clan?~ you wondered, ~She is young enough to be that ten-year-old I saw leave the clan's compound before we attacked. I'll have to inform the leader about this.~
Arg! Get to the funny parts already! (Me: Alright, here's my first actual try... Plz don't laugh at ME... Also, don't flame me...)
(Your POV)
You sat on a branch that had a good veiw of the forest at an altitude of about thirty feet. All was quiet until an owl mistood your hair (which was still in a messy bun) for a nest. It landed on your head from behind; as you turned to see what was "attacking" you, you lost your balance and fell off of the branch with a yelp. Thankfully, the owl flew off before your fall, so you weren't hit in the face with its wings as you fell twelve feet to the next branch below. "Ow!" you yelped as you hit the branch butt-first, "Stupid bird, stupid branch, stupid tree, stupid-" You continued calling things stupid for the rest of your watch, and were running out of stupid things when Hiroshi tapped you on the shoulder and said, "Hey, stupid girl. Your watch is over."
You turned to face your teammate with an evil grin on your face. A loud smack could be heard a mile away, followed by Hiroshi's indignant yelp, "OW! What'd I do?!" You climbed down the tree, leaving Hiroshi to rub the enormous lump where your fist had connected with his head. Akina-sensei gave you a grin as she looked outside your tent at you. You grinned sheepishly and rubbed your head before entering the tent. You crawled into your sleeping bag, but before you could fall asleep, you heard Akina-sensei murmur, "Don't worry, Mizuki. This mission is only for 6 more days. You'll do fine." ~Did I seem worried?~ you wondered before trailing off to sleep.
~Sunrise the next day~
You and Akina-sensei were the first ones awake. Akina woke out of habit and then woke you because you'd been having an odd dream that caused you to shift in your sleep, something you rarely did. While Akina-sensei rangled with your tent, you tiptoed into the boys' tent and crept close to their ears before screaming at the top of your lungs, "HEY, SLEEPYHEADS! RISE AND SHINE!" Both boys shot straight out of their sleeping bags, hit the top of the tent, and were snapped back to the hard ground with surprised screams. Ren hit the ground stomach-first, while Hiroshi landed against the tent wall and slumped upside-down to the ground, little swirlies replacing his eyes. "MIZUKI!" Ren yelled, "What was that for?!"
"It's time to get up," you said, playfully patting Ren's head, "Don't you want to see Konoha?" "Next time I'll bring an alarm clock," Ren grumbled. "You'd sleep right through the alarm," Hiroshi said, already recovered from having his head bashed in for the second time in three hours. "Would not!" "Would too!" "Nuh-uh!" "Yah-huh!" "I'll just let you two settle this on your own," you said as a giant sweatdrop slid down your head. You backed out of the tent and rushed to help Akina-sensei with the tent (which she had somehow managed to get into a hopeless mess). "A Jonin and you can't un-pitch a tent?" you growled as you expertly cleaned the mess up and folded the tent neatly into your backpack. "I was never very good with tents," your sensei said, rubbing her head and grinning as though she'd just said something real funny. You sighed and shook your head in mock despair. "We're doomed," you whimpered playfuly. Akina-sensei punched you lightly in the arm and chuckled, "Watch it, hotshot. Hiroshi! Ren! You two about ready?"
The two boys emerged with all their belongings packed, but you were more interested in the bruises and scratches they'd both mysteriously obtained. You smiled, rolled your eyes, and turned to your sensei and said, "Can I go ahead? I have a feeling Hiroshi and Ren won't be getting along again for awhile." Akina-sensei smiled but shook her head. "You need to stay with the group. You've never been outside the Kajigakure's gates before, remember?" You grolwed inwardly and said, "But I know this is the only path to Konoha. What's the big deal?" "If you strayed from the group, we wouldn't get to you in time to help if you were attacked," Akina-sensei said, "And I can't afford to lose any of my team."
Keep going, you're doing great! (Me: If you actually think I'm doing great, thanx.)
~Two hours later~
(Unknown POV)
"Sensei, are we there yet?" I whined. "No," he said irratably, "Stop asking. We'll be there in another hour." My teammates shot me those I-can't-believe-you're-our-teammate looks as I moaned, "We've been walking for AGES! Couldn't we at least pick up the pace?" "We'll get there when we get there," sensei said, not even turning to look at me this time, "You should learn to be more patient, Naruto."
Well, how was it?
