Jussi, Never Turn Your Back on Fear. Part 18. Alcohol Induced Slumber.

Layout by: Richa at Glamour [xo] "They're everywhere. Guaranteed by the time you've spent a week in our city, you've seen at least a hundred vamps, and you've interacted with at least twenty five," Archie told you. "Do they kill people," you asked. "All the time," Jyrki said in a very low, scary voice. You looked a little uneasy, but the rest of the boys just laughed.

After a few more hours of ghost stories, you were ready for bed.
Shortly after you retired, the rest of the boys did too.
Jussi slipped into bed with you, wrapping his arms around you.
"Good night," he said, kissing your neck softly.
You giggled and rolled over to face him.
The two of you curled up together, and you fell asleep in his arms.
Several hours later, you rolled over, seeking Jussi out for warmth. Your blankets had been taken from you, you figured by somebody else on the bus. However, Jussi was nowhere to be found.
You pulled up the blinds on your window slowly and examined the parking lot you were in. There were rows upon rows of semi-trucks, and girls walking between the trucks. Prostitutes, seeking out innocent men who were just looking for a good night's sleep. Could this explain where Jussi was?
After watching a bit more, you saw a figure stumble out from the woods, a large grin on his face. No girls followed him, but it was evident that there were some in the woods. You watched in horror as the figure got closer and closer to you. Silently you prayed to yourself that it was Jeffery Dormer or Jack the Ripper, anyone but Jussi. Your greatest fear came true when the door to the bus opened and Jussi came in. You jumped back from the window and fell out of the bed.
"Careful baby, you'll hurt yourself," Jussi smiled, picking you up from the floor.
You stubbornly crossed your arms and did not assist him in putting you back in bed.
He crawled into bed next to you after taking off his jacket and shoes.
His T-shirt was all sweaty, and wrinkled to high Heaven. There were dirt stains on it, and shoe prints, as though it were discarded on the muddy ground for some time. He smelled of the outside, and of cheap perfume.
"Is something wrong," he whispered, noticing your strange behavior.
"Nothing at all," you said, rolling over and falling asleep.
The next night was the same, and the night after that.
Every night, somebody would leave the bus or hotel room in the middle of the night, and slip back in before anyone woke up. Most nights it was Jussi and Jyrki, but you noticed Archie, Timo, and Baize all do it too. This went on for nearly a week before you decided to do something about it.
That week, there was a show every night in a different city. By Friday night, the boys were all exhausted. During the show, they hardly drank at all, which left quite a bit of alcohol for you. This was a nice change of events; because they usually consumed all of the beer in the time it took you to drink two. So you had your fair share of alcohol before the night was over. Almost directly after coming back to the hotel, the boys all headed for bed.
You and Jussi fell into the same bed together, and both fell asleep.
That night, sure as the sun, Jussi slipped out of the hotel room again.
This time, however, you followed him.
He headed down the hall, down stairs, and out the door. He headed down the street, and if he new exactly where to go, and into a dark alley. There was a lone girl standing in the alley, as if she was waiting for Jussi. He crept up to her slowly; she turned around and noticed he was there.
You couldn't bare to watch, as you turned around, to wait for him to finish with her, you heard a piercing scream. When you turned around to see why the girl had screamed, you thought you saw Jussi on top of her, killing her. You reached up to rub your eyes, making sure you were seeing things clearly. As you did, you lost your balance on the slick ground and tumbled over. On the way down, you grabbed at the brick wall, to try and regain your balance. You had no such luck and fell to the ground.
Before you made it to the ground, however, you were passed out.
You awoke from your alcohol induced slumber to find Jussi hovering over you with a cool washcloth on your face.
You pulled away from him abruptly.
"What's the matter," he asked in a soft voice, reaching out to touch your face.
You cowered away from his hand.
He had a hurt and confused look on his face, and his beautiful grey eyes were filled with pain at the simple gesture you were making.
"You killed her," you said, your eyes welling with tears.
His brow furrowed, "excuse me?"
"That girl, in the alley, you know what I'm talking about!"
"Darling, I haven't the faintest idea."
Memories of the concert the previous night came flooding back to you. Rather, two cases of beer came flooding back to you.
"Baby, as soon as we got in here, you passed out on the bed with your shoes and coat still on, and you've been passed out since. It's 11:30 the next day. You were drunk."
"It was a dream," you asked.
"You were thrashing about as though someone were killing you or something," he said, a grin appearing on his face.
You put your hand to your forehead made a noise of agony.
"Don't worry about it, dreams can never hurt you," he said, pulling you towards him.
The following night at the concert, you refused to drink even one beer. And sure enough, later that night when you were all in the room, Jussi and Jyrki snuck out again.
'One more night,' you vowed to yourself, 'and I'm following him this time, for real.'
