"Zephyr-chan, there you are!" The eight-year-old younger Uchiha exclaimed as he caught sight of her.
"Hello, Sasuke. Is your brother home?" She inquired gently as she knelt to the boy's level. Sasuke seemed to become a bit irritated at the request, but nodded nonetheless.
"He's in his room being all quiet again. He wont even help me with my shuriken jutsu! He's much better at it then father is; he's just being stingy." She chuckled gently and ruffled his soft, black hair with her right bandaged hand.
"And do you know why he is being stingy, Sasuke?" She asked with a sly grin forming on her beautiful crimson lips. Sasuke blushed slightly and shook his head.
"It's because he's afraid youll beat him one day." She explained with a knowing wink as she adjusted the odd curtained beret on her head with her left bandaged hand. Sasuke's dour mood seemed to brighten tenfold as he considered this.
"And trust me Sasuke, even though your brother advanced remarkably quickly through his training, that doesnt mean that once both of you have reached your full potential that he will be the stronger." Sasuke laughed and darted off away from her, undoubtedly going off to train a bit more before going to bed. The sun was beginning to set, thus sending the Uchiha compound into a very romantic and ambient light.
"Mikoto-san, Fugaku-san, might I trouble you by coming in a moment?" She called calmly as she rapped on the doorframe, though their back door (which was the entrance at which she now stood) was open wide.
"Come right in, Zephyr-chan!" The boys' mother, Mikoto called back from the kitchen area. She called quick and gentle thanks before passing through the living area and heading to the hall in which the bedrooms were located. Itachi's room was the farthest room on the right wall, next to Sasuke's.
She gently tipped her head toward the door before her to listen to the distinct sound of a sharpening block against a katana blade.
"Your predictability is unprecedented, Itachi-san." She sneered through the open crack of his door as one of her striking black-and-white eyes peered in upon him with a devious glint. Of little surprise to her, she quickly caught the thrown kunai between her teeth as she pushed open his door, chuckling all the while.
"You never knock..." Itachi mused in his usual, smooth monotone as that signature smirk of his shone through his taciturn features. Matching his smirk, she unceremoniously took a seat atop the very same table he had been sharpening his signature katana on.
"I shouldnt need to, but if you need me to nock, I'll happily oblige." She countered with a snide grin with her tone laced with false innocence. He sent a heated glare at her, though she could see beyond in those onyx pools that it was merely a facade. She knew well his boundaries as to what snide remarks he would and would not tolerate.
"I heard you mention that you needed to speak to me." Itachi diverted. She lifted a brow at him; he had reacted with such calculated surprise... She pushed the thought away and shrugged nonchalantly.
"I didn't need to, I just wanted to." She stated plainly; in a classic position with any other girl, she wouldve blushed and quietly admitted that, but not in Zephyrs case. Zephyr was always a very blunt woman and very honest with him.
"Oh? About what?" He asked curiously as he pulled his attention fully away from his katana-sharpening. She shrugged again and looked at him in the eye.
"I got lonely again." She explained, a bit quieter now.
Zephyr lived alone out in the forest, though he had never seen a house of any sort, he assumed she just slept in the trees. When he met her, she was asleep in a low hanging bough, her leg unconsciously swaying. It was winter, but the cold didnt seem to bother her much with her sparse clothing.
Afterward, he would come to visit her from time to time, and his visits slowly transitioned to where she would visit him. She became acquainted with his younger brother, mother and father, and came and went whenever she became lonely. It saddened him a bit, she always seemed lonely, but she put on an excellent facade in front of his family.
Without warning, he gracefully stood and caught her in a very gentle embrace. Her strange eyes widened as he did this; never before had he done something to this level. She didnt complain or question his actions as she tentatively and cautiously placed her hands around his shoulders. She had never been used to this kind of contact and she found it quite peculiar; this word, affection.
"Guess no one's in at the moment..." The door apparently wasnt shut entirely. It swung slowly from its hinges to reveal a rather nice room consisting of a dark decor, four-poster bed, and a worktable with an assortment of weapons strewn across it, a couch set in front of a fireplace and a few chairs here and there. She was able to spot a few weapons hanging on the wall as well as a door leading to a bathroom.
Free pocky and confetti thrown at you in the results. I also should mention that a lovely picture of everyones' favorite genocidal S-class criminal is in there, too...
*Throws confetti and pocky sticks to the readers* Yay for installment one!
Itachi: *Appears unamused* When does the current me come into play?
Corr-san: *Freezes in her confetti-throwing, disturbing the viewer because the confetti and pocky froze, too* Very soon! In installment two of "Their Final Legacy" maybe! *Sigh* I don't remember and I don't feel like pulling up my story file to check.
Itachi:
Corr-san: *Grins uses Zephyr as a human shield*
Factoid: Zephyr actually can glare with just as much effect as Itachi. Look at her picture in the character description/teaser; creepy, isn't it?
