It was a week after the most recent Hollow attack. It had been strangely peaceful since then. Gin had been a regular human, doing homework, chores, shopping, that sort of thing. You had been studying for your upcoming exams. It bothered you that it was so quiet. You knew, just knew something was going to happen.

"Yuuuuuuri-chan, I don't get problem twenty-three."
Gin was whining, as usual, about having to do Quadratic Functions in math. You weren't too fond of it either, but you knew it was necessary.
You two were sitting on a park bench, doing your homework. Ryu had left a note on the door saying he wouldn't be home until late, so you both decided to go out and do whatever.
"Well, you have to solve for X, and then plot the points," you told him, pointing out at the numbers and variables with your mechanical pencil.
Perhaps you were paranoid, but you felt someone behind you. You turn your head, seeing a shadow flash past. Shaking your head, you clear your mind and move on to your English homework. Suddenly, Ichimaru stood up. You blink, looking up from your homework.
"HOOOOLY HELL!"
You drop your books, pencils, and papers. In front of you was a man with thick rimmed glasses, and chocolate-brown hair with eyes to match. He was smiling like a father would at Gin.
"Aizen-taichou." Gin reguarded.
"A-another one?" You sigh, standing up. You were nervous. There was such tension in the air.
"Haha, so this is the girl, I presume, Gin-fukutaichou?" His voice was soft-spoken, with a hint of malice. It made you shudder.
"Yes, taichou."
Placing a hand on your head, the man spoke, "Please take good care of my fukutaichou. He's still very young."
Young my foot, you thought, but simply smiled an over-energetic smile, your eyebrow twitching uncontrollably.
