"Oh my gosh, what is that noise outside!?" Riley muttered to herself, she'd just come back from a Fall Out Boy concert and it was 5:30 in the flipping morning, "Oh, they better hope they have some sort of weapon-holy Mary mother of god..."
In the middle of her street, on a small island, over three hours away from where the concert had been, sat the Fall Out Boy bus, along with the tour buses of Plus 44, Cobra Starship, The Academy Is..., and of course Paul Wall, basically everyone she had just seen at the concert, well everyone that had been on stage.
"Please don't scream." William Beckett pleaded with her, they looked like they were having some sort of trouble, "You wake me up after five minutes of sleep and expect me NOT to scream?!"
Riley was shaking, she wasn't sure if it was in rage, that she was cold, having only a tank top and pajama pants on, or that she was nervous, but she was shaking like a leaf!
Suddenly, her suspicion kicked in, if there was one thing she could do, it was solve a mystery, that's why she choose the profession she did, "Why are you guys even here?"
"A show?" Patrick suggested more than answered and Riley crossed her arms, "On a small island? Tell me the name of the island and I'll be tempted to believe you."
"It starts with an 'M'!" Gabe exclaimed and everyone looked at Riley with cheesy smiles on their faces, "Close, but it's more then one letter. Just tell me why you're here; I'm sure it's not for anything that bad."
The guys exchanged looks of slight fear and shame, "Oh god, there isn't a dead hooker anywhere is there?" This caused the guys to laugh, which caused the other side of Riley, her very self-conscious side, to show as she blushed and tried not to let it show.
"Well, while we can't tell you the reason why we are here, we can tell you that our tire has a flat and we can't leave until it's got a whole new tire." Riley nodded, "Well, what are you going to do until then?"
The smiles on everyone's face disappeared, "WE'VE GOT A SHOW IN WEST PALM BEACH TOMORROW!"
"West Palm Beach, seriously?" Riley asked, in near disbelief, "That's not two hours from here, and if you need directions, I could help, I was born down there and go usually when I'm visiting my parents, since a few of my friends live down there." For a second everything was quiet, and then they looked at Riley like she was their messiah.
"THANK GOD, we got a flat in front of the right person's house!" The next few moments were a blur for Riley, who was hugged by many people at once, "Ok...?"
"You are our savior!" Pete yelled, kissing her cheek, she pushed him away and raised her eyebrow, "Yeah well, because of you, I've had five minutes of sleep and I need at least three hours to fully function." Riley received weird looks and she shrugged, "I don't get much sleep and I've gotten used to only getting that much."
"Please tell me how you managed to get a flat tire on a small island like this at 5 in the morning anyway?" asked the mechanic who wore a greasy navy jumpsuit with the name 'Dave' sewed onto a grease-splotched name tag. He rubbed his eyes tiredly, "I can try and have it done by Wednesday, but it might take longer."
"Wednesday!?" Gabe, William, Pete and Patrick exclaimed.
"Jesus, that's 2 fucking days away!" shouted Pete who punched a nearby wall.
Dave glared on an account of Pete's rather pretty mouth.
"I'm sorry, boys." He said, although it was clear he wasn't.
"We have a show in Palm Beach tomorrow!" Gabe said loudly.
All the commotion was interrupted by a small, groggy voice saying, "Daddy? What's goin-OH MY GOD PETE WENTZ!"
Pete readied himself for a fan girl attack as a young, maybe 13-year-old girl came out into the mechanic garage in her pajamas.
"How do you know this guy?" asked Dave to his daughter.
"This is Pete, Daddy!" she exclaimed as she hung on Pete.
Riley and the other boys giggled as Pete blushed madly. The little girl just hung on him dreamily and sighed his name over and over again.
"Pete who?" her father said tensely.
"The one from fall out boys!" she smiled, calling his band by the wrong name just like a typical teenie.
"Oh!" he said appalled, "We never get famous folks like you, here how about this? I'll get your bus done by tonight if you give my daughter here tickets for your concert tomorrow."
Patrick looked at Pete who was trying to pry the little girl off him. He was trying to hold his laughter in so much he was turning red.
"Fine! Fine! Fine!" Gabe quickly agreed, "But we don't have anywhere to stay!"
"You can stay at my house." Riley managed to blurt out. She quickly covered her mouth.
"God, we love you!" Patrick exclaimed, hugging her along with William, Gabe, and the now freed Pete.
"It's cool." She smiled.
The little girl pouted from Pete escaping her death lock of love.
"Okay, you guys come back here at 8, that gives you about 2 hours of sleep." Dave said, "Your bus will be done by then."
"How much?" Pete sighed.
"It's on the house, you're taking my daughter." He smiled politely.
The little girl smiled girlishly and sighed dreamily at Pete who took a step away from her.
"Alright, I need my beauty sleep, lets get back to Riley's." William said eagerly, heading back to Riley's car with Gabe.
"You kids have a nice rest now." Dave said, waving happily as they left.
"Bye Pete." The little girl waved.
Pete put on a fake smile and waved back, before quickly turning and running away to the car as fast as possible.
It's new, try to love not hate!
