"...She wants to go home
But nobody's home
That's where she lies
Broken inside..."

She sighed heavily as she watched the night sky outside her bedroom window. It would be another half hour before the moon would come out from behind the many tall buildings surrounding the house she now lived in. Even though she had just reunited with her family the night before, Sheanna was homesick.
The day she had been forced to watch her friends and her home disappear into the distance had ripped her heart apart. To her, she didn't even have half of her heart left; no, it was more like she only had a small piece that would never show itself again. That was how much she had loved her friends, her school, her childhood home. Most people would just say things like "Oh, I'm sure you'll make new friends" or "You can always visit", but it wasn't like that. Sheanna hadn't just moved to another town or city, or even a different state for that matter, she had moved to a whole other country.
It only made things worse when both of her best friends had told her that they were moving away from their hometown. At least they were moving only a day's worth of travel away from home, even if it was in different directions that they were moving to.
Lying down on her bed, Sheanna continued to watch the sky as she waited for the full moon to appear. She had promised herself to wait up every night to see the moon; after all, it was the only thing that her eyes could share with her friends eyes at the same time other than through the Internet. Finally the moon came into view. A single tear fell from Sheanna's eye before she closed them both and fell asleep, only to dream about her faraway friends...

"...With no place to go
No place to go
To dry her eyes
Broken inside..."

It had been almost a year since Sheanna had been forced to leave her home and her two best friends. She would still stay up late to watch at least glimpse the moon's shining face before drifting off to sleep. Just like almost every other morning she had woken up to since her heart had split apart, the poor girl had woken up with a pillow soaked with tears, tears that could only come out when she was unconscious.
School in Canada had been a major drag as the year had gone on. She had soon found out that even though her English class was the only one that was actually ahead of what she had been learning back in the States, all of her classes would be hard due to the difference in not only ways of teaching, but other things as well. For instance, all of her teachers had expected her to know the Metric system, all of the provinces in Canada and where they were located, and all of the countries special holidays and famous persons. She had had a hard enough time trying to figure out all that stuff in the States, and now she had to keep track of and learn more about even more of the worthless information.
Sheanna slowly climbed out of her warm bed, grabbing her hairbrush from her nightstand in the process. A terrible feeling of pain and betrayal fell upon her as she brushed her hair and listened to the voices coming from her father's office.
"It looks like we're going to be staying here another year. They accepted our renewal applications." Her father said to her mother.
Another year? A tear slid down her face as her body froze in place. Another year... More tears started to creep out from her now tightly shut eyes. Her knees buckled and she fell back onto her bed. They don't understand the pain that this all is causing me... Sheanna grabbed her special stuffed horse and curled up into a tight ball, allowing what felt like the last remaining drops of her well of tears to flow out of her.

"...Her feelings she hides
Her dreams she can't find
She's losing her mind
She's falling behind..."

"Sheanna, are you up?" Her mother's voice called from the other side of the door.
"...I'm not going to school today, Mom." She quickly said, her voice cracked as she spoke.
Opening the bedroom door, her mother peeked in. "Oh Sheanna..." Sadness was heard in her mother's voice at the older woman walked over to the bed and sat down beside the curled up form. "You heard what your dad said, didn't you? I'm sorry."
"If you're so sorry, then why are we still here? Why did we even come up here in the first place? I was perfectly happy back at home with my friends!" Her words were rushed.
"It was a great job opportunity... We didn't know it would affect our family like this."
Silence. The girl didn't reply, she just lay there and waited for her mother to leave her alone.
"I'll tell the school that you're not feeling well then. I'll pick up your schoolwork after work." Her mother said before she left the room, closing the door beside her.
"There won't be a need to do that..." Sheanna whispered to herself as she drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

"...She can't find her place
She's losing her faith
She's falling from grace..."

Gush! Spat! The two sounds went hand in hand as Sheanna looked down at the dagger that now pierced her heart. She watched it as the world around her started to slowly fade out into the eternal darkness that would take her. It was a special dagger that had been plunged into the broken heart of the girl; her favorite aunt had encouraged the girl's love of blades and other weapons, especially the weapons used in the Fighting Arts. How sad she would be that one of the blades she had personally bought for the girl was now the very weapon lodged in between her niece's rib-bones.
Sheanna felt as her soul gave a tug, wanting to leave the now dying body. With the last of her bodys physical strength, she smiled the first truly happy smile she had ever smiled since she had left her friends. Her friends...the only reason's why she hadn't died all those years ago... Finally giving in to the need to escape from her dead body, Sheanna let go.
Before her family could come home to find the corpse, Sheanna's soul left the house. A sudden tug where her heart would be made her glance down at the place she had jabbed the dagger into on her physical body. A blue thread glowed as the end that was sticking out shot out into the far away distance.
Home... My friends...I'm coming home.
She allowed the thread to pull her to where it lead, knowing that it would take her to her friends. Sheanna knew that she would be traveling back and forth between her two best friends; after all, she loved them both equally. And she always felt as though she was placed on the Earth to protect them; maybe she was their guardian angel. It would certainly explain why her heart hurt so much when she had been forced to move so far away from them.

"...She's all over the place..."
Well, I hoped you guys liked it. ^-^
