Chapter Twenty-Two
Title: A glance of hope.

HIKARU'S POINT OF VIEW
Hikaru stumbled through the doors, after he released more people. A lot of them were already dead. The sight he couldn't get out of his head, made him sick.
He tried so hard... He was so tired.
That girl... Kohanna. She was in big trouble. That bastard... Kaoru.. He wanted to get him back for everything he did. But in a state like this.... He wouldn't have a chance.
He needed to get to Kohanna's home, and then ask Aki and Rini for help. He had no other choice. He walked out the large doors, leaning on everything he could find. It was so dark outside. There were guards laying on the ground, their heads were bashed in by something hard. He didn't know how this happened, but it looked horrible.
He rushed passed them as fast as he could, sometimes falling over. He ran passed a few little light things, trees, benches. He came by a big building, the door was open it seemed. He fell just before he came at the door, forward, almost on his face. He winced, grabbing his stomech.
After some seconds laying there, he stood up slowly again. Trying as fast as he could. He came in, looking around. A little girl came to the front door, excited. But when she saw him, her face turned from excited to disappointed.
But then, from disappointed to stunned when she saw him bleeding.
Girl: Quickly! Quickly!
Hikaru: What?
Girl: Quickly!
Hikaru: I don't understand.. What?
All of the sudden, nurses and doctors came running towards them, grabbing Hikaru with them on a brancard, bringing him to a room.
Hikaru: No! Wait! I have to find someone called Kei-sama! Help me find him! It's urgent!
A nurse gently tried removing his upper-clothing stuff to get a better look at his wound, but he shoved her away.
Hikaru: There's nothing wrong with me, stop this!
They didn't listen.
Hikaru: STOP IT!
They stopped, looking at him, confused.. Stunned.
Hikaru: Where's this Kei-sama-person? I need to talk to him now.
The girl now stood beside him.
Girl: Kei-sama?
Hikaru: Yes, please tell me where he is.
The girl ran away, quickly coming back with a tall man, blackhaired, big-eyed.
Hikaru jumped up, grabbing Kei-sama by his arms.
Hikaru: Where's Kohanna's house?! I need to go there! I need to talk to Aki and Rini! Now!
Kei-sama looked at him, stunned.
Kei-sama: Calm down, young man. First tell me who you are..
Hikaru: I have no time for this!
Kei-sama: Well, I'm sorry. I can't tell you this personal information... How do you know Aki and Rini though?.. They are strange..
Hikaru: HOW DARE YOU?!
Kei-sama: But, I guess you seem too... Weird clothes... Where'd you get those?... I've never seen you before...
Hikaru shook his head, standing up.
Hikaru: I'll find it myself.. If she dies, it'll be your fault..
Kei-sama: Excuse me?
Hikaru: Yes, this girl is in big trouble..
Kei-sama: What kind of trouble?
The girl looked at the two.
Girl: Kohanna? She lives a couple of kilometers to the north from here!
Hikaru looked at her.
Hikaru: Thank you.
He ran out the door, going into the direction the girl told him she lived. He passed some more trees, and eventually came at a house. He stumbled to the door, knocking on it hard.
Hikaru: Quickly!
The door got opened by a boy. Dark haired. Pretty tall, but a few centimeters smaller then himself. Hikaru was stunned.. This boy looked familiar.. But this was too important to drop now.. He had to get help.
Hikaru: Where are Rini and Aki?!
Boy: Who are you?
Hikaru: Tell me!
Boy: They're not here.. They vanished since yesterday.. Why?
Hikaru bashed his fist to the wall.
Boy: Uhm.. Are you okay? You're bleeding... Want some help?
Hikaru: No, I have to find them.. They need to help me get her back..
Boy: Get who back?
Hikaru: A girl named Kohanna.. She seemed to live here.. Are you a friend?
The boy's eyes widened.
Boy: Where is she?!
Hikaru: Someone captured her.
Boy: WHO?!
Hikaru: A guy named Kaoru.
Boy: KAORU?!
Hikaru: Yes.
The boy seemed to almost lose it, but he stopped yelling. Calming down, at least trying to.
Boy: Where is she?
Hikaru: She's at the castle of the king of this place.
Boy: Let me help.
Hikaru sighed, doubting. Was he experienced enough? Or would he only get in the way? He didn't have much choice. He nodded.
Hikaru: Okay then..
The boy offered his hand.
Boy: I'm Haruko.
Such a familiar name... Where had he heard it? Where did he see this boy earlier?
Hikaru: I'm Hikaru.
Haruko: Hikaru? Rini told us about you.. And Aki as well.
Hikaru: They did?
Haruko: Yes.
Hikaru: Well, okay.. Then let's go.
Hikaru almost wanted to turn around and walk back, but he got pulled back by Haruko.
Haruko: Not yet.. Let's bandage your wound first.
Hikaru: No, I'm fine..
Haruko: Do you really think, you'll get far like this? You'll die half-way!
Hikaru sighed.
Hikaru: Fine.. Have it your way then..
They walked in, Haruko bandaged Hikaru quickly, cleaning the wound as well.
Haruko: When we come back, you can fresh yourself up in the bathroom. I see you need it.
Hikaru looked at Haruko, giving him a stunned look.
Hikaru: I guess you're right.
Hikaru stood up, walking to the door, opening it.
Hikaru: Let's go.
He walked out, still having his left hand pressed against the bandage. The sticking feeling... It hurt. He wondered how the wound came there. What weapon they used. Not a normal one anyways...
He heard the door close behind him, and he knew Haruko was walking behind him now.
Hikaru: We should hurry.. Knowing Kaoru, she maybe won't be alive anymore when we find her if we keep this up. We need to run.
Haruko: Okay..
They started running, arriving at the castle.
Haruko: How do you know Kaoru anyways?
Hikaru: He had been torturing me every day when I was being held there. Until that girl came...
He thought back to that moment. The time he opened his eyes the first time in a few weeks. He was so scared that he would go blind, that the light would blind him. But it didn't. He thought he would see only black, but the only thing he saw was a staring girl, looking stunned, and worried.
Kohanna.
'How did I get myself into this?..', Hikaru thought.
Haruko: Oh boy, where to now?
Hikaru snapped out of his thoughts, looking around. Seeing they were already in the great hall. Hikaru looked around, seeing the door he walked through earlier was still opened. The way he left it. Haruko didn't let him answer, and automaticly ran to the door, running through it.
Hikaru: WAIT!
But he was already gone. Hikaru sighed, shaking his head. He didn't want to go there anymore. He spent the most horrible time of his life there. But he had no choice. He had to get Haruko. When he entered the door again, he saw Haruko was running in and out of all the chambers... Prison-cells.
Haruko: KOHANNA!!!
Hikaru looked at him, stunned. He never saw someone wanting to find someone so bad. So bad he let himself look stupid. And do stupid things.
Hikaru: She's not in here.
Haruko looked at him.
Haruko: How do you know?
Hikaru: Kaoru carried her away.....
Haruko looked at the dead king, laying on the floor. His throat sliced through, blood leaking out of it.. The ground was red, wet from all the blood. Haruko's face turned disgusted.
Haruko: What happened here?
Hikaru: Kaoru killed him, and now that girl is his slave.
Haruko looked at Hikaru again, eyes widened.
Haruko: WHAT?!
Hikaru: It's not too late yet.. We can still save her.
Haruko shook his head.
Haruko: First Miyoko, then Kasumi... Now her? Why?...
He looked around again, noticing the hole in the wall where Kohanna had pulled the chain out. He walked to it, placing his hand on it. As if he was expecting to feel her instead of that hole.
Haruko: She was hanging here, wasn't she?......
Hikaru looked at him, stunned.
Hikaru: How can you tell?
Haruko: I don't know..
He looked down, then to Hikaru.
Haruko: Let's find her fast... I feel she's not doing well...
Hikaru's stunned looked turned into a smile. He nodded. This behavior... He knew he had met Haruko before...

SUITPARTY...
KAZUO'S POINT OF VIEW
He grabbed his outfit, after he had showered and everything. He was excited, yet he felt something was wrong. He put his outfit on. A red, velvet outfit. A few black, leather parts were on it. A BIG hat, too. He liked it. He put his newly died blonde, shoulder length, un-straight hair in big volume with hair-spray, put on the hat afterwards. And put some make-up on. He looked in the mirror, smiling at his bad-ass image.
Kazuo: Aaa, I look good..
He walked out, seeing his friend Haruko wasn't there.
Kazuo: Haruko?? We have to go!
There was no reply.
Kazuo: Hm, weird. Maybe he went without me.
He ran out, running to school. He arrived very quick, opening the door. There was blood on the floor, which lead to a door.. A room. He traced the blood-trail, looking in the room. But there was nobody.
Kei-sama: Aa! Kazuo! You're the second to arive!
Kazuo jumped a bit up, from the shock, turning around.
Kazuo: Aaaa, sensei... You scared me, big time..
Kei-sama: Kazuo.. How many times have I told you, to call me sama.. Not sensei?
Kazuo nodded a bit.
Kazuo: Aa, sorry.
Kei-sama: Never mind.. I feel it's useless telling you again.. Call me whatever you like.
Kazuo nodded a bit, turning around to the room again. The blood-trail was leading his eyes to a brancard. But there was nobody on it. Kei had probably noticed it.
Kei: Aa, this morning a boy came in. He was wounded heavily, but he was doing okay, seemingly. I wonder why nobody cleaned this up yet..
Kazuo: Did he die?
Kei shook his head.
Kei: He wanted to see me, he wanted to know where Kohanna lived.. I didn't tell him, but Keiko did. After that he left.
Kazuo: You didn't even bother to check upon her?!
Kei: He wasn't dangerous.. And, as a matter of fact, I DID check upon her. His blood-trail led me there, but it went back. She's doing fine, trust me. There's no way that wounded boy could've done anything. He looked quite concerned, why would he want to kill a normal girl?
Kazuo sighed.
Kazuo: I don't feel good about this... I feel like I have to go there.
Kei: Nooono, there's nothing, really. Plus, Mitsuko is waiting for you. You can't leave now.
Kazuo's expression turned into a curious one.
Kazuo: Why do you want me here so bad?
Kei: I personally don't want you here SO bad.. The fact is, Mitsuko does. He's alone.
Kazuo sighed again, nodding. He walked to the hall, seeing Mitsuko standing there. He was indeed alone, looking at his hands. Kazuo walked to him, patting him on his shoulder.
Kazuo: Aa, Mitsuko! You came!
Kazuo smiled a bit, though everything didn't feel alright. Mitsuko looked up.
Mitsuko: Aa, Kazuo. Have you seen Kohanna? I haven't seen her in a while, and she doesn't pick up the phone neither..
Kazuo: Uhh, me and Haruko broke her phone.. That's probably the reason...
Kazuo thought of the time he and Haruko were playing videogames. The phone rang, and Haruko had messed his drink over it on accident. Kohanna still didn't know it.
Mitsuko: Did you tell Kohanna? She liked that phone pretty much...
Kazuo: I didn't tell her yet. I think that should be Haruko's job though.
Slowly, minute after minute, people of their school came into the hall, all having costumes on.
An hour went by, and the suitparty had started. People were dancing, laughing, talking. But the rest of Kazuo's and Mitsuko's friends weren't there. Haruko was missing. Kohanna was missing as well. Miyoko and Kasumi were 'evil'. Rini and Aki were missing as well.... Or not.
Rini: Heeeeey!
Rini came through the croud, pulling Aki with him. After a while Sora grabbed Aki's other arm and pulled him with her on the dancefloor. Aki's face was horrified, annoyed, and he didn't want to do this. Rini looked back at him, stunned. But then laughed at him.
Kazuo: Rini!!
Rini snapped out of it, running to them.
Rini: Hey! Have you seen the rest?
Kazuo: No.. Maybe they'll be coming later this evening.
Rini nodded.
Kazuo: Let's take some pictures!!!
He grabbed his camera out of his bag, taking pictures of everything and everyone.
Kazuo: YAY!!! POSE!
Rini posed, Mitsuko didn't. Aki pulled himself away from Sora, running to Rini.
Aki: Help me... That woman is possessed!
Rini looked back, seeing Sora running their way. Rini's eyes widened.
Rini: Why do you always attract weird woman?!
Aki: I don't know!!!
Rini ran away, Aki ran the other way.
All of the sudden, Rini stopped running, pressing his hand on his chest. There was a sticking feeling from the inside. It hurt really bad.
Rini: What's going on?
The feeling stopped.
Rini: Huh?
He stood up straight again, walking to the window. He rubbed his head a bit, coughing a few times. He looked outside, and his eyes widened.
Outside, he saw none other, then..
Rini: Kasumi!
He ran outside, but she wasn't there anymore. It was pitchblack outside, and it was raining badly.
Rini: Kasumi?.. Where are you?!
No response. Rini sighed, shaking his head, disappointed in his imagination.
Rini: I could've sworn I saw her..
The rain stopped. Rini looked up at the sky, sighing. He turned around, seeing Kasumi standing right before him. She seemed hurt in some way. But she looked beautiful.. Like a goddess.
Rini: K-Kasumi?.. Is it really you?
Kasumi nodded a bit, smiling. She came closer, stroking his cheek.
Kasumi: I miss you...
Her voice was echoing.. Like she was a ghost.
Rini: What's wrong?
Kasumi: I-....
She stopped talking, as she closed the small gap between hers and Rini's face, kissing him.. Embracing him. Rini's eyes widened, but then closed.
As moments went by, they continued to kiss. And Rini could've sworn he and Kasumi were floating. He felt hope was drowning him again... She could be saved. They stopped kissing, but still embraced each other.
Rini: Kasumi...
Kasumi: Rini......
Rini opened his eyes, seeing she was fading away.
Rini: What's happening?!
He reached out for her, his fingertips almost touching hers... But before that could happen, she was gone... Rini was left alone again, as a single tear left his eyes.
Rini: W-what's going on?...... W-Why?........
Moo..

AT LAST!!! Finally a new part of Land of Delusion! ^^ Another step to having another story finished!! XD
