The next couple of days shot by quickly; the dragon seemed to be growing larger every day. About four days after it had hatched, it was to your knee already. And because of it's large growth spurts, it needed a good amount of food to keep it satisfied. Almost every day, you and Eragon went out into the forest to catch some good game for it. Saphira tried to help as much as she could.
Not only that, your connection with the dragon seemed to grow as fast as it's growth spurts. You could talk with it normally, or by sending it little images. You always made sure it had the best protection. Leaving it alone for 5 minutes was not an option for you. You loved the little dragon as much as your life.

Of course, now that you were a Dragon Rider, Brom and Eragon spent hours with you daily trying to teach you the Ancient Language, and how to sword fight better. The drain on your energy left you with sour moods, and you got angry very easily, which never helped much.
But whenever you weren't training with Brom, or Eragon wasn't riding on Saphira, you both tried to get as much time together as you possibly could. He always seemed to help you, no matter what the problems were, or how crappy your day was. Eragon always lifted your spirits when they were low. You loved every minute of it.
*****
The next day, you and the gang couldn't travel much, due to a large thunderstorm. The thunder and lightning spooked the horses, and the gusts of wind kept Saphira barely on the ground. The cold rain left you all pretty grumpy most of the time.
You sighed and plopped on the ground, finally finished with another round of sparring with Brom. Eragon scooted closer to you and allowed you to set your head on his chest. The little dragon moved closer to you as well, and climbed into your arms. It stared at your with big eyes.
"You should consider a name for you dragon." Brom suggested.
You nodded, and looked at your dragon.
"What were the names? Eragon told me of a few, but that was way back when..."
"Let's see...there's Jura, Galzra, Roslarb, Lenora, Beroan, Eridor..." His voice trailed off after a bit.
You stared at your little dragon, and contacted it.
'Is your name Jura?'
The little dragon shook it's head.
'Roslarb? Beroan? Eridor?'
It continued to reject the names.
'Lenora?'
The little dragon perked up.
'Yes. Lenora is fine.'
You straightened and Lenora.
"Her name's Lenora." You said. Brom smiled.
"Ah yes, a nice name. Lenora." He said.
You smiled as Lenora walked back over to Saphira, and sat beside her. That would take some getting used to. You sniffed and laid your head back on Eragon's chest. The sky turned darker as night came, but the storm made it look as dark as midnight. Brom set up some temporary tents, so you wouldn't get drenched in the rain. You kicked off some of the blankets, the humidity made it pretty hot. Before long, you and Lenora fell asleep.
*****
You woke up in the middle of the night, after you heard a twig break. You stepped outside and saw Saphira twisting around in her sleep. She growled and shifted her wings. You smiled.
'Must be having a dream...'
You wandered into the forest and strained your ears. You could hear rushing water nearby. Wandering tword the noise, you found a little waterfall surrounded by a little pool of water. You dipped your feet into the water and sighed. It was warm, actually. A full moon made the water look like a sea of glitters. You saw Eragon's face reflecting in the water, and you heard him sit next to you.
"Couldn't sleep again, eh?" He asked, smiling at you.
"Yeah...it's too hot out." You humphed.
Eragon laughed and splashed water at you. "That cool you off?"
You laughed and splashed water right back at him. "No, but thank you."
After a while, the splashes subsided. The heat was more than enough. You stood up.
"I don't know about you, but I'm swimming."
Eragon looked up. You blushed.
"I hope you don't mind..." You looked at the reflected moon.
"No, not at all."
You smiled. You were going to swim in your PJ's. You had a spare pair. You quickly jumped into the water, gasping as the mildly cold water surrounded you. You let yourself drift down to the bottom and stayed down there for a couple of seconds, then pushed off of the bottom and surfaced right in front of Eragon.
"Come on Eragon, swim!"
He pulled his feet out of the water.
"No thank you."
You humphed, clearly unsatisfied.
"Please? Pretty please with Saphira on top?"
He laughed.
"No."
You sighed in annoyance.
"Fine then..."
You grabbed his leg, and pulled him in. You laughed as Eragon yelled out of surprise when he hit the water. You laughed harder as he came up to the surface, gasping for air.
"Fine fine...just let me get my shirt off." He muttered. "No looking."
You sighed and turned around, hating the missed opportunity.
He humphed and dived back under the water. You looked around, trying to find him, until something grabbed your leg and pulled you under. You tried to kick away, but the grip was too strong. Finally, the hand let go, and you quickly swam to the surface. Eragon came bursting out of the water, laughing.
"You should have seen the look on your face!" He continued on. You sighed.
"Let's play Marco Polo." You said, bored out of your mind.
"Ok then...not it." Eragon said. He dived under the water before you could say a word of protest.
"Oh fine..." You gave him a 5 minute runaway before you started.
"Marco..."
Eragon surfaced. "Polo."
"Marco..."
"Polo..."
You couldn't help it...you opened up your eyes a tiny bit, but not enough to make Eragon see you were cheating.
"Marco..."
"Polo." You started to wander left, you heard Eragon swim away.
"Marco..."
"Polo." He was right behind you. Quickly, you snapped around and tagged him on the head.
"No fair! You cheated!" He protested.
"No I wasn't. Got any proof?"
"You had your eyes open."
"And you saw them open? You weren't very far behind me, you know."
Eragon grunted, and dived back down under the water. You swam over to the water's edge and climbed out. Eragon reappeared under the waterfall. He looked disappointed.
"What, you're getting out already?"
"It's kinda late Eragon." You smiled.
"Well yeah..." Reluctantly, he climbed out as well. You sniffed and rang out your PJ's. He took your hand, and you both returned to camp. You sprawled out on the bed, exhausted.
"That was fun..." You yawned.
"Yeah." Eragon agreed, the cutest little smile was plastered onto his face. You smiled back and pecked him on the lips before going to sleep.
