Dark Angel 27- Kagome's Arrow (an Inuyasha story)

Taku P.O.V>>> You and Kagome were close to the vault. *I cant believe she can sense the presence of the shards!* You stop. There is a shimmering, translucent barrier of gold light in front of you.
There, this is the last barrier. Only the Dark Angel and the master of this ryu ever has/had access beyond this point.
Why the Dark Angel? I can see why the master would have access, but why the Dark Angel? Kagome asks curiously.
So that he/she could pick and choose from among the artifacts that they might need/want to use for their missions. Some are very powerful, almost rivaling the Shikon no Tama for power.
Still, the barrier wont accept you will it? You may be Michis twin, but you two are nothing alike! Youre complete opposites!
You smile wickedly. While that was true, your sister had given you her blade. Shed even tested the sharpness of the blade on her thumb, leaving a few drops of blood on the blade. You had been careful with these drops, so you still had a small droplet on the blade.
She left her blood on the blade, see? you say, holding out the blade to Kagome carefully. If I tip it like so, onto this tile here you continue, matching actions to your words.
The tile in question glows and the barrier disappears.
See. you say, smirking slightly.
Come on, we have to get those jewel shards. she says, grabbing your hand and pulling you onwards.
Alright, alright. you sigh in mock defeat, picking her up bridal style and accelerating far beyond any human could possibly run.
Hey! she protests, laughing. Here we are. you say, putting her down.
Why, who have we here? a female voice questions from among the shadows.
Kiri. Why are you here? you say quietly.
A young woman who appears about 20 or so steps out from the shadows. She has long grey-silver hair that floats out around her like mist, making the reasoning behind her name obvious. (Kiri means mist in Japanese) Her eyes are a shimmering blue-grey and she wears a storm-grey kimono with silvery dragons entwined around stars with a powder blue obi. Im the guard here tonight. she says, eyes meeting yours. Im supposed to kill Darkclaw if I see him. But I havent seen Darkclaw yet. All Ive seen is a hanyou called Taku and a human female. Kiri continues, laying her cool hand on your cheek, a sad smile on her face.
Kiri, theyll kill you if they find out you let me get away. you say, taking her hand off your face.
Then theyd best not find out, hadnt they. Knock me out and take my weapons belt. There are things you might need while you are travelling. she says quietly.
You nod and hit her on the back of the head with the hilt of your sisters sai.
Thank you, Kiri. you say softly, taking her weapons belt from its place within her obi.
Kagome looks at you, stunned. Not meeting her eyes, you push open the door.
You collect the shards. I have a errand to run. you say, heading for the central chamber.
*I need to find the Seers Staff.* you think, hastening your pace.
Suddenly, something flashes before your eyes. A staff of some pale wood with a white crystal set in the top. You See the surroundings and know exactly where it is. Just as quickly as it came, the vision vanishes.
Continuing on, you see the pedestal from the vision. But the white wood staff is gone.
Damn. you curse loudly.
Kagome comes running, a small pouch in hand. What is it?
The Seers Staff, its gone! I Saw it, but
What are you talking about? Is it a wooden staff with a white crystal? Because its right on that pedestal. she says, going up to the pedestal.
Reaching into mid-air, she grabs something, and you can see it, the staff is in her hand! It must have been shielded with a glamourie to make it seem as though its not here. you say, picking it up.
~Taku! Help! ~ you hear Michi scream. *No!*
~Were coming! You are in the records room, right? ~ you say, struggling to appear calm. ~Yes, please hurry! Inuyasha is trying to fight the master! Youve got to hurry! ~
Kagome, weve got to go! you yell, grabbing her.
SHURIKEN BARRAGE!!! you call, gesturing at the window. The usual white stars fly at the floor-lenghth, magically shielded window, shattering both it and the magical shield. You no longer cared about being discovered, you had to find Michi before the events of your vision came to pass.
Swooping down, you flew directly at the wall of the records room, avoiding the blasts of the freshly awakened members of the Night Dragon Ryu.
Taku! Stop! Wall!!! Kagome screams, clinging to you as she turns her face into your chest.
Kagome P.O.V>>> You clung to Taku, bracing for impact. You see an intense light through your closed eyelids. Opening your eyes, you see his eyes had rolled back, and like Michis were glowing gold. *Thats what I saw. The light in his eyes- its brighter than Michis!* you think.
Dark Piercing Light! he yells furiously, pointing the Seers Staff at the wall. A blinding light is born, and the wall just disappears.
You can see Inuyasha trying to attack an old man, but just as his sword is about to slice the old man cleanly in two, the man catches it.
Come now, youll have to do better than that. Darkclaw here could defeat you bare-handed. I think Ill let him sharpen his claws on you. the old man says, gesturing to Taku.
I am no longer Darkclaw. I will not fight the one my sister loves. Taku says, putting you down gently.
So you are staging a coup, hmm? Very well, I suppose I must kill you all then. the old man sighs in annoyance. Suddenly an arrow sprouts from his chest.
You draw your bow again, but before you can release your second arrow, the old man strikes you down.
*No, Taku* are your last thoughts before darkness claims you.
