"I'm going to miss you!" My best friend Camren exclaimed, hugging me tight. Ever since I told her about going to private school this year she's been sworming around me like a lost puppy. She squeezed me tighter, sniffing back her tears.

"Write me every week okay?" She mumbled.

"You know I will." I said in my muffled voice. "Uh, Camren, I can't breath." I mumbled, probably turning blue. She may look small and preppy, but don't let her fool you. She tougher than she looks.

She let go. "Sorry. It's just that it's going to be our last school year. And we won't be speking it together, Hailey." She replied, wiping her eyes on her pink sleeve.

I gave her a half smile. "God, Camren. It's not like I'm dying. I'll be back for the holidays." I replied, shoving my bags into the back seat of my mom's car.

"But still. It won't be the same. God, why are your parents making you go there anyway?" She asked.

"Well. It's more like my Mom. You know my Dad doesn't care. She wants me to get into a nice college." I mumbled, rolling my eyes. I didn't even know if I wanted to go to college anyway. College was for smart brainy people. I was nothing like that. I was just a normal person. And besides, I liked it here in this small town.

I didn't want to go to private school. All those rich snobby teenie bopper kids thinking they're better than us who are less unfortunant then they are.

"Hailey, let's go! The plane's going to be taking off in an hour!' My Mom yelled, shutting the door to our house behind her. I looked over at Camren.

"Well. I guess this is goodbye for now," I mumbled hugging her again. "I'll call you later."

"You better." She smiled, and let go of me.

I got into the car, and waved goodbye as it sped away.

The car was warm from my Mom cutting the heat on. She was really weird like that. It was nearly 90 degrees and she complained she was cold.

"Mom? Where's Dad? He said he would come say goodbye." I said. But I already knew the answer to that.

"He had to go to New York for a business trip, sweety." She said with a sigh. Figures. Ever since my Mom and him split, all her ever did was work like a maniac. I haven't spent time with him since last Christmas. Even then we were still so distant. He left for L.A for work an hour after. "I'll tell him to give you a call this weekend." She explained, stopping at a red light.

I snorted. "Don't bother, Mom. I'll just see him for an hour on Christmas like always." I muttered, biting my bottum lip.

"Honey, he really wanted to see you today, He'll-"

I cut her off. "Mom, can we just change the subject? I don't want to talk about Dad right now." She nodded, and faked a smile.

The rest of the ride to the airport was silent, which I didn't mind. I didn't have the energy to talk.

"Well, here we are." Mom said, pulling into the parking lot. I removed my seatbelt, and opened my door. She touched my hand. "I'll come with you, only if you want-"

"Mom, I'm almost eighteen. I'm a big girl. I'll call you on the plane." I hugged her one last time and left the car, grabbing my bags.

"I love you, sweety."

I smiled, tears forming in my eyes. "I love you too, Mom" I watched as she drove away, leaving me all alone...

"We are now landing. Please fasten your seat belts." The flight attendent exclaimed, over her mic. I tightened my seat belt as tight as it would go.

I never liked flying. It always made me nervous. Ever since I watched Final Destination when I was fifteen I've been afraid of planes.

I closed my eyes as the plane started to land.

This was it. My new school. Saint Joesph's private school for boys and girls. It was larger than I thought it'd be. I held my bags tight and walked up the flight of stairs.

I was a week early. So school wouldn't start untill next Monday. Which gave me time to unpack and roam around the school to get to know where my classes were.

I looked at the paper that was in my hands. Room 306. I smiled and opened the big glass doors to the school.

It was beautiful. There was huge class windows everywhere, the sun shining ever so brightly.

I walked down the hall and found the steps to find the rooms.

I walked for what seemed like an hour in this big place. It was a maricle I hadn't gotten lost.

303, 304, 305, AH! 306! I smiled and unlocked the door with my key, hoping to see if my roommate would already be there.

I heard "Ohio Is For lovers" by Hawthorne Heights playing. And the water in the bathroom was running.

I threw my bags onto my bed, and sat down in the chair beside the window.

This seemed okay. It was pretty big, so I wouldn't get too cramped up. The walls were a creamy color, as was the couch and bed covers. There was a big window where a balcony stood. Maybe this place wouldn't be so bad after all.

The bathroom door flung open which made me jump.

My eyes literally almost popped out of my head. "Oh My GOD!" I screamed, seeing the guy standing there with nothing on but a towel. I then realized my roommate was a guy!
