I was standing in New York harbour. My parents got me a job aboard the QM2 as a deck attendant and a waitress. I didn’t want to be here. My plan was to move to Florida and work at Disney World. Not on the QM2. But maybe that will all change. Thousand, maybe millions, glanced at the huge ocean liner. I hated these events. It was to crowded. I took a deep breath and started to walk up the gangway. I looked up and it seemed like the ship went up for miles. The water down below was muddy. I heard a soft squeak. There tangled in a net was a bottlenose dolphin. " Hey! That dolphin is in trouble!" I shouted. No one seemed to hear me though. I pushed my way down the gangway and ran to its side. "Awwww. You poor thing!" I said to it. The dolphin was crying. It was sad to see it like this. I petted it and told him ''Don't struggle. It'll make things worse. It is ok dolphin I'm here" The skin was the smoothest skin I ever felt.. It seemed to calm the animal down. The net left marks on its skin,as I saw. I will call you Flipper. It suits you. It seemed to respond with a happy squeak. Once free, it swam away quickly. "Bye,Flipper," I said. It probably was the last time I was ever going to see him again. I glanced at my watch. "Oh my gosh!'' I shouted, "The ship is gonna leave soon!'' I ran up the gangway and boarded the ship.
