Your name is Kikkai Tomoe, which means "Mysterious Intelligence." The kanji for it is shown above. You are smart, hard-working, and proud, and that sometimes gets you into trouble. Take, say, the time you refused to say 'thank you' to Naruto because you thought he was 'below you' (he was). Now, things aren't so bad, except for the fact that you have liked Uchiha Sasuke since forever, but you are too damn proud to admit it. You look something like this:
(enter Photobucket code for Tomoe here)
Now that you know a little bit about yourself, let's go into story mode! W00T!
"All right," Iruka said, walking into the classroom. "I will now announce teams. Team One: Ame, Dana, and Kane. Team Two: Tomoe, Haruo, and..."
Sasuke, please, Sasuke!!!!!
"...Sari."
DAMN!!!!!
You smashed your head on the desk, once, twice, three times. "Oww..."
Iruka continued assigning teams. "Team Seven: Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke."
DAMN!!!! He's with the ugly, annoying, pink-haired bitch! She's one of the flipping WORST!!!!
"Now, you will have time to wait for your team leaders." Iruka left the classroom (Iruka has left the building!).
You sat with your group, waiting for the Jounin who would be your new sensei. Eventually, a young woman with long red hair and green eyes opened the door, announcing, "Team Two!" You got up and walked with Haruo and Sari to meet the teacher.
"All right," the Jounin said. "My name is Kawaguchi Aiko, and if you pass this test, I will be your teacher."
"Wait, what's up with that?" Sari asked. "We graduated already! We should be Genin by now!"
"No," Aiko replied. "That was just to make sure there were no idiots being assigned to teams. This is where the real fun begins. You see, I've set a few exploding notes to go off in one hour. It is your job to figure out where they are, how to get them out of wherever they are, and where to put them so they don't blow anything up when the go off. Got that?"
"What?!" Haruo exploded. "We can't possibly do that!"
"Then you don't deserve to be Genin," was her reply. "Two-thirds of you will be sent back to the Academy."
"After five years of training, we still might have to go back?! That's not fair!" you complained.
"Quit your whining. You've already wasted five minutes. That time is precious when it comes down to the last thir- what are you guys still doing here?!"
"You were talking, and-"
"Screw that! You guys have a mission! Go!"
She's a weird one, you thought as you went off in search of the exploding tags.
Looking around, you tried to spot exploding notes attached to the trees.
I can't see anything... I wish Hinata were on our team, she could help. Hinata was one of your best friends. It's no fair! Why do we have to get the tough Jounin?!
An hour later, you and the others were still looking for the notes.
"It's no use," you said to Haruo and Sari. "The bell just rang."
For half an hour, you, Haruo, and Sari had concocted plans to find the tags, but to no avail.
"I guess we're just gonna have to get sent back to the Academy," Sari said sadly, her head drooping.
"This was my second time," Haruo said. "I didn't even pass the graduation test last time..."
"Yeah, well," you replied, frowning slightly, "we'll all try again next year. It was actually pretty fun, making up all those stupid plans, huh?"
Haruo and Sari nodded.
"Promise to try to make it onto the same team next year?"
"Yeah!"
"Definitely."
You, Haruo, and Sari walked back to Aiko.
"Well?" Aiko asked.
"Well what?" Sari responded, confusedly.
"Did you succeed or did you fail?"
"Um, we couldn't find anything," you answered, shaking your head.
"So that means we fail," Sari said.
"I suppose it does," Aiko said. "However, you three half succeeded. You see, the whole point of this mission was to learn two things: teamwork, for one, and finding shortcuts." She reached into her pockets and pulled out three exploding notes. "The hour was just a time limit. You never thought of asking me where they were, did you?"
"I told you guys!" Haruo shouted.
"It sounded like a stupid idea," you admitted. "I guess we should have listened to him."
"Hn, no duh," Aiko replied. "You guys are gonna have to work twice as hard in the next exercise..."
"Wait, next exercise? What's that supposed to mean?"
"Well," Aiko said, "it sort of means there'll be another thing for you to do, it kind of means you three are going to be involved, and it also means you pass."
"We do?" you asked, confused. "But- but-..."
"We didn't complete the mission!" Sari said.
"Are you saying that you guys actually want to go back to the Academy?" Aiko asked.
"No, but-"
"Then don't complain," Aiko interrupted Haruo. "I can arrange for you guys to split into the three teams who passed. Now, one of the teams hasn't taken the test yet, so if they don't pass, you get their spot, but if they do, one of you will be assigned to team seven, one to team eight, and one to team ten."
You noted how she hadn't told you which teams had already passed.
"All right!" Sari said, pumping her fist up in the air. "We passed!"
"Yeah, but barely," you replied.
"Don't ruin it. Just because you always had to get As, and just because you have too much stinking pride to accept the fact that Aiko just let us pass by sheer kindness of her heart, WE STILL PASSED!!!!!!!! YAYNESS!!!!!"
"Ri-chan's right," Haruo said. "It doesn't matter how little space there was between us passing and failing, we still did pass."
"Yeah," you said. "You're right.... But, we're still gonna have to split up. The three teams she Aiko just mentioned have really good people: Shikamaru, he's lazy but really good, Chouji, Shino, Hinata, and Sasuke. There's no way any of those teams isn't going to pass."
"That's right," Aiko said. "Which is why I'm going to ask Kakashi if you three can watch his team take their test tomorrow morning. I would advise you to get there around eleven, because Kakashi's always late. Although, so far he hasn't passed a single team.... But maybe Team Seven will be- oops..."
Haha, big-mouth sensei...
"I didn't say that," Aiko said.
"Yes you did," Haruo argued.
"No, I didn't."
"Yes, you did."
"Did not."
"Did too."
"Did not!"
"Did too!"
"DID NOT!"
"DID TOO!"
"NOT!"
"TOO!"
"Oh, just shove it," you said, walking away. "I'll be there to watch Team Seven."
The next day, you woke up at ten o' clock, having not set your alarm.
Wow... it's really late, you thought, getting out of bed. You pulled on a turquoise long-sleeved shirt and light blue jeans, completing your look with your purple-and-blue choker. Then you sauntered into the kitchen for breakfast.
"Wow. Cheerios."
"Oh, you're finally awake," your mother remarked, putting down her cup of coffee. "Your father and I thought you were going to sleep all day."
"Of course not," you said. "I have to watch Team Seven and see if they pass their final graduation test."
"Ah, I see," your dad said. "So, their test is when exactly?"
"Eleven," you replied, sitting down and beginning to eat your Cheerios. "It's really important that I see whether or not they pass because if they do, our group will be split up and there's a possibility I'll be on their team."
Your father frowned. "Four-man teams? Is that allowed?"
"If the Hokage says it is, I'll believe him," you said. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some spectating to do."
You arrived at the training field at the exact same moment as Kakashi.
"Why are you here?" Naruto asked.
"Because, if you guys pass, I might be on your team," you replied.
"Look out!" a voice shouted. You looked up and saw Sari falling out of a tree.
"Sari!" You caught her. "Haruo, what did you do?!"
"Nothing, she just fell out of the tree!"
"Why were you even in the tree anyways?"
"We were waiting for you!"
"Psh, whatever. Anyway, guys, if you pass, one of us is going to have to be on your team."
"Why?" Sasuke ventured to ask.
"Well," Sari replied, "we passed, and so far you haven't, right? Well, Aiko-sensei didn't think it would be fair to have you three sent back to the Academy just because you didn't take the test until later, so if you do pass, Team Two is going to split up and go into the groups that did pass. If you don't, you get sent back and we stay a team."
"All right," Kakashi said. "I look forward to seeing one of you on my team... or not. So, guys, you have to try to get the bells from me. That's all."
"But... there's only two bells!" Sakura whined.
"Exactly," Kakashi said. "That means the most that can pass is two out of the three of you. When I say go-"
Naruto rushed at Kakashi, who put his hand out and caught him by the head. "Ah-ah-ah, I didn't say go yet!"
"You just said 'go' twice!" Haruo said.
"Yeah!" Sari agreed.
You just nodded, as did Sakura. Sasuke didn't do anything, just stared at Naruto.
"All right then... go!"
You, Haru, and Ri-Ri watched as Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura just plain failed the whole shebang.
Wow... and I thought Sasuke would have figured it out by now... he's so smart anyways... and cute besides... it's dead sad I'm not on his team...
An hour passed, and the bell buzzed, signaling Team Seven's failure.
Haruo snickered. "And so... exactly how high were Sasuke's test scores?"
"The hightest," Sari said.
"And yet..."
The three of you knew these words by heart. "He's still the worst!"
Sasuke glared at you three. You shrunk back, wishing you hadn't chimed in with your teammates.
Ohh, why did I say that? Now I'll bet Sasuke thinks I hate him!
Rest In Results
It turned out that, in the end, Team Seven passed... and all because Sasuke and Sakura fed Naruto! You really didn't think that was fair, but you wouldn't say so outright. Maybe, just maybe, you would be assigned to Sasuke's team!
"All right," Kakashi said. "Now we'll have a little test to see who would do best on which team. Haruo, you will be fighting Sakura, Sari, Naruto, and Tomoe with Sasuke."
"Okay," was the simultaneous reply.
You got into a fighting stance, hoping that today would be your lucky day.
Will you make it into Team Seven? Or will you be moved into one of the other two? Find out... next time!
