A Land of Worldly Demise (a Kurama Romance story) Part 2

Okay, all, let's get this thing started... When I left off, you finally reached Hanging Neck Island. You managed to get to the arena and spot Yusuke & his team. Kuwabara is fighting, and, in case you want to know, he's fighting Risho (yes, the guy he whoops after seeing Yukina). You're unable to contain your happiness for finally ending a 1 year search for Kurama and tackled him to the ground! You finally have the chance to confirm your past, but will you be allowed to? (Me: You're gonna love how strange of a friendship you have with Hiei. You two argue a lot, but you don't have an ounce of hatred toward each other. In fact, you have each other's trust...you guys just won't ADMIT it. Everything about your friendship is almost a contradiction!!! LoL!)

Without further ado...Quiz start!!! ^_^
"What the...hell?" started Yusuke. You looked up and threw him (Yusuke) a childish smile before going back into the tangent you had started. Yusuke and Hiei sweatdropped with blank stares as they helplessly watched you attack Kurama with a hug. You stop and scamble up with a blush. [What am I thinking?! I just smothered the poor guy! How am I suppose to get a decent conversation from any of them now?!] "Hey, Kurama, looks like you got a fan!" Yusuke laughed. He gives you a glance. "And a pretty lively one at that!" Kurama got to his feet and dusted himself off. "Well, I don't..." Kurama started. "Awww, look you're blushing!!" cackled Yusuke. Kurama looked away in embaressment before turning to you. "Uh....do I know you?" Kurama asked, half shyly. "Well... I think so." you start. Hiei cuts you short. "It sure took you long enough to get here VERNA." You look at Hiei in confusion and Kurama stood in shock. He continued, dully. "I got your telepathic messages. They were ANNOYING, so I ignored them." "You WHAT?!" you screamed. "You heard what I said." Hiei spat. "Why you little evil-eyed midget! I should-!" you shout. Yusuke cuts you off this time. "Hiei, you know her?" "Unfortunately." he answered. "Unfortunately!" you scoff. "The only thing unfortunate is that I didn't kick your ass twice as hard!!" Yusuke got inbetween you two before things got worse. "Okay, everyone, easy does it!" (Yusuke) You cross your arms and sighed angrily. "Hmph! And to think I trusted you, Hiei..." You scoff. "That was YOUR fault," Hiei shot back. "I didn't SAY I would help you find Kurama. I just said I would keep 1 eye open." You blew up (Me: Not literally ppl... -_-'). "A LOT OF GOOD THAT DID!" You screamed. "THANKS FOR NOTHING!!!" "May I have a say?" asked Kurama. Everyone turned their attention to Kurama. (Me: Poor Kuwabara...his own team isn't watching his fight...) Kurama had obviously gotten over his shock and turned to Hiei. You felt rejected. "Did you call her VERNA?" Hiei nodded. "That's the name I was given, unless, of course, you want her human name instead." You glare at Hiei. "You don't even KNOW my human name!" (You) Hiei just scoffed. Hiei: "Worthless girl." You: "Concided jerk!" Hiei: "Fool." You: "Weakling!" Hiei growled angrily. Yusuke once again got between you two. "Okay, okay, that's enough," he said. Kurama looked at you. "You're a demon." he said painly. "That I know. What I DON'T know is why you would use THAT name." He seemed agitated by something and that just made his words cut deeper. "That's my name," you said, with your head down. "I know you used to know a Verna a long time ago, Kurama." You look up to his surprised face. "I know she was dying right in front of you, those 15 1/2 years ago, and there was nothing you could do. But, she disappeared in right in front of you too, didn't she?" You saw a bead of sweat run down of Kurama's face. Yusuke just stared in surprise by the entire conversation. "Who did you hear that from?" Kurama asked almost forcefully. Hiei interrupted. "By the way, Kurama, I guess I was suppose to tell awhile ago that she was looking for you. You see, according to what I found out, the Verna you know and the Verna you're scolding, are the same." Hiei throws you a smirk and you growl. "Well, except the human version in front of us isn't nearly as strong as her demon self." Hiei looked back to Kurama. "Kind of like you." Kurama's eyes widen and lock on yours. "How?" he asked you in shock. You shook your head. "I don't know how it happened. I should have died." (You) "But I guess the reason why I didn't..." You pulled out your crystal (Me: The magic one, remember?). "Has to do with this." Kurama reached out and touched the crystal. He looked at you. "Can you really be?" (Kurama) "My memories are still a bit fuzzy, but at least now I know that I haven't been going crazy." You smile. "Heh, my master told me 4 years ago, when I starting to get my memory back, that I was either a human incarnation of a demon or going completely crazy." Kurama looked at you, confused on how to react. He decided by asking a question. "May I hug..." he paused and blushed a little and finished. "You?" You blush back and nod. As Kurama pulled you into a rather akward hug, Hiei turned away in disgust while Yusuke turned his attention, momentairly back to the fight. "KUWABARA!" he screamed.
Don't stop! Keep going!
Zzzzzzzzzzz...
Kuwabara smashed into the wall hard, causing all attention to shift to him. He got up and was determined to finish the fight...even if it killed him. "Urameshi," said Kuwabara starting a charge toward Rishio. "See you in the afterlife!" "Kuwabara, no!" screamed Yusuke. You gasp and Kurama and Hiei watch in surprise. Kuwabara didn't die though. Something made him stop, and when he turned his attention back to Rishio, he beat him in one attack. "Holy Jeeps, Kuwabara!" Yusuke said quietly in complete and utter shock. As it turned out, you found that a girl named Yukina was Kuwabara's reason for victory. You snickered at his infatuation with her. Team Urameshi was moving on to the Semi-Finals, and you were happy. Happy for them and for yourself.

Things are going to heat up a bit in this next part! You and Kurama have decided to get to know each other in your human forms, but thank goodness for short cuts!!! With Genki's help, you developed a memory exchange technique in which the individuals swap memories for a short period of time (10-15 sec.). If you thought the inital attraction was strong, you haven't seen nothing yet! Things are going to start to get steamy in Part 3! See you then! (Me: I hope... TT_TT_
